Lovely breeze and view. Food was okay, drinks were good
Great atmosphere and drinks. Food was a bit over priced for the portions and service was a bit slow.
Very casual sloppy flavorful food
Not fancy but view is nice
Small menu ok service - looked very touristy but to be expected as it’s located in a hotel which I was not aware of prior to going
Probably won’t go back
Shrimp and grits were delicious. Our servers also set up warmers outside for us which was very accommodating and made our brunch comfortable while overlooking the marina.
Horrible experience. Would never return to this hell hole. Left after 20 minutes of the worst service I have ever experienced.
We felt safe there. Food was good. More food choices would have been nice.
Pretty solid... a little pricey but solid
I got the chicken sandwich and it was a little too spicy for my liking, and had too much sauce, but was still edible. Nice view and service was good.
Everything that I ordered They were out , I asked for a black label with water A tall glass my server did not know what I was asking for and brought me in whiskey with mineral water it took a long time I’m sure it’s not like this all the time I hope. But the food was good what they had.
Horrible experience, hostess was rude, she tried to seat me at a table with no umbrella and said that’s all we have if you don’t like it you can leave, I had driven 40 minutes from Woodland Hills, and the 4 of us were very hungry, I noticed another open table with an umbrella and asked the hostess if we could sit there, she said no, it’s reserved. So I finally pleaded with her and said please bring over the umbrella. She gave me the dirtiest look and finally with huffing and puffing she rolled over the umbrella and threw the menus on the table and walked away.
Thank filly the waitress was a little better, even though it took 20 minutes and 3 times asking from myself to get some napkins and silverware on the table.
Menu was limited and the food quality was mediocre. Ceasar salad with a $12 side of salmon, fish was way undercooked, my kids pancakes were below par, even they complained, my braised rib sandwich the bread was soggy because there was way to much thousand island smeared on the bread. My 4 mimosas were all warm, neither the champagne or orange juice was cold.
Salt what happened to you guys. Your service and quality has dropped to almost non existent. I will NOT be going back.
I love this place. It is a great environment. relaxing . beautiful view. kind servers. It is my go-to. glad they're open for outdoor dining!
Loved sitting outside by the boats. The service was terrible.
Improve food quality and selection. Overpriced for value
Always fond of brunch/lunch at Salt on a Sunny day. They are doing a great job under covid conditions without sacrificing service or taste. The menu has been a bit pared down but there are still good choices for all and the fine preparation and quality remains.
We locals appreciate the non-touristy ambience too. Thanks.
Had to wait an additional 20 min - even though reservations were made prior.
The waitress could not understand our questions . Basic questions as in what are the most popular dishes do you have mineral water.
Called a table of ladies gentlemen after being corrected continually said it.
Training needs to be done, I’ve never heard so many unnecessary absolutely’s in one dinner ever.
Food was amazing the service was horrible.
Awesome!!!!! Great service!!I love it there .The view is also amazing.
The food and service was excellent!!
We found ourselves very disappointed with Salt. We were seated at a very dirty table that was unset. We had to ask twice for the last customers food and coffee to be wiped off the table. Our server was sorta like a drill sergeant, very direct/bossy, no engagement, and not overly knowledgeable on the menu.
The food was pretty tasty, presentation was lacking but at least the food did taste good.
I say this falls in to the category of "hotel restaurant" that happens to have a really nice setting.
This was a thank you dinner for a friend. Due to Covid the menu was pretty limited but still very expensive. I’ve been there several times before so this was a bit disappointing. But it’s my fault for not checking the menu before our dinner. I guess. Service was very slow but we were not in a rush
The service was slow. The seating outside (CV-19) related was nice. The meal was a bit over priced as is typical for most hotel restaurants.. OpenTable showed is at 2 $'s but it should be 3 $'s.
Parking was ok as you can park in public spots near the boat marinas.
Rude waiter. Average food. Limited menu options.
Love the view and ambiance . Drinks were also delicious. Food is pretty limited as far as options so just consider that.
Meh. I just don't see how this is considered a fine dining spot, you're just paying for views and Marina del Rey. Our servers looked like they were being overworked like horses, definitely not a fine dining experience but it's all good, they were friendly.
Came for cocktails, avoided food because reviews were saying that the food sucks now.
They sat us in a corner with a view, but the view was obstructed by umbrellas.
Also, it was a corner that literally everyone walked through, so that was kind of annoying.
Paid about 55 for 3 cocktails.
Good just to say you came, but it's overall meh.
This place is like an ex girlfriend, you liked it a the time but you don't wanna see her again.
Very tasty food in Marina Del Rey! Maybe small menu, but I don't think you can find something tastier in MDR. Also I really like European portions, I so used to this and don't like big American portions where you get more than you need.
Lovely outdoor table overlooking the Marina - very romantic. Food was outstanding and service very pleasant. Near the end of our meal, a party with three kids...one who was quite boisterous, was seated at the table behind us. Changed to mood for our last 20 minutes, but a great evening still.
Music is a must.. we can hear everyone's conversation. Also more vegan options.
The food was amazing, definitely 5 stars. Unfortunately I have to lower my overall rating due to poor service. We were two women who were not given any attention while others who came in after us were waited on and serviced while we were still waiting. I had to walk back to the front to make a point of it that we felt like we were being ignored while we were patiently waiting. My friend goes here for client meetings also, so hopefully they treat all their customers equally next time.
All good. We will be back. Neighbors for 30 years and 1st time diners at Salt. Food arrived a bit cool. Nothing disastrous and it was tasty, but a bit on the cool side.
The service for our table was super slow. My friend and I needed help with drink menu and the waiter was rude to help us. He left the table several times while we were asking questions to help another table. We ordered coffee and it was too cold. Other than that, the view was fabulous
We were seated at the only table that didn’t have an umbrella to block the sun. When asked if we could use and umbrella that was at an empty table, we were told that we could use it for a few minutes until a reservation for 6 ppl showed up at the empty table. FYI. We had a reservation, the hell with us I guess. Ordered two drinks. Took. 27 minutes to get them. Needless to say. We didn’t stay. Paid for our drinks then left.
Food was good, service was solid. Their outdoor seating was fantastic!
The restaurant is doing a nice job with required social distancing - we had a larger group that we split up across two different tables, but we were set up in an area on the patio that had plenty of space. Beautiful evening, great meal, good to be out.
Great Covid location, patio overlooking the marina. Beautiful, excellent appetizers and nice wine list. Service was great and the ambiance is awesome if you are looking to relax!
Fabulous service amid the health crisis. I felt safe and the food was delicious!
Absolutely love this place! Food was great & the champagne always even better. Will definitely return!
Beautiful view of the Marina and delicious food and great service!
Our reservation was at 11:45. I got seated at 12:45. An hour wait. Then they asked if i like to get the food to go instead of seating to save time. We didn't accept it so they offered us a full sum table becouse they didn't have enough umbrellas.
Great food, great view, great service. I would totally recommend dining here for an impressive romantic evening.
We got a table outside where the sun was shining straight into my eyes. It was uncomfortable until the sun set, almost an hour later. The table was dirty with small pieces of dirt and leaves on the table. Staff was good, but the facility and lack of sunshade made it an unpleasant time spent there.
I do not recommend this place.
