Love Salt. Great view, lovely ambience. One of our favorite Marina Del Rey spots.
Great view from the deck, excellent seafood prep!!!
Customer service was outstanding! Food was amazing!
The ambience is lovely with the water and boats. The staff is a bit disorganized. Food came out sporadically for our table. We had to request ordered food they had forgotten. Syrup did not arrive with pancakes. They need to educate their staff to serve everyone at a table at the same time and to ensure all that was ordered is delivered.
Made us sit outside , it was windy and cold , they said the only tables available were outside , this did not seem the case .... however even if it was they should have made it clear on booking as we would not have gone there had we known we had to sit in the freezing wind at 7pm
Halibut was excellent but salmon was served raw. Had to send back to cook better
Great ravioles! Seating outside was nice , service was great. Nice place.
We stayed at the Marina del Rey Hotel overnight to facilitate an early departure the next morning out of LAX. Dining at SALT seemed the easiest option. What a lucky surprise for us that it also happened to be delicious. Sitting on the patio overlooking the harbor was delightful. As it was a bit chilly the waitress happily brought me a cozy blanket. All bundled up we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. As a starter we had the tuna. For our main we both had the chicken. The menu selection is small but adequate and everything is cleanly prepared. The cocktails are also a good pour.
The food and service were first class!
Very good serv8ce but super bummed they took the shashuka off the menu
Scenery , food etc
The staff is awesome they were extremely nice even offered my daughter a blanket since she looked cold lol
Thank you so much
It seems as if it would provide for a better customer service experience if our server had all or many of her tables on one side of the outdoor spaces. There were long stretches when we did not see her; we presume she was serving in other parts of the restaurant. We have also noticed this on several other occasions in the past with other servers.
I guess if you choose to go you go for the scenery which is great, out there in the marina. Food quality is not bad though not anything extraordinary either, they did look very pretty though. The portion though was definitely on the very small side, the $16 beets and endive salad came with four tiny endive leaves and total about four little bytes. This was the first time my wife complained ever that she did not have enough to eat. The two of us ordered one appetizer, one salad, one pasta and $80 later we both left hungry.
Very noisy, otherwise fine, food was good. Service just fine.
Lovely view and food was very good. Heaters outside were not working very well and they were supposed to be fixed while we were there. Did not happen. Other than that very pleasant.
Outstanding service with a great view!
It was very good but the noise was ridiculous.
A group of seniors with a smelly dog seemed out of place in the restuarant - surprised that they were seated inside.
The food was just okay I for sure had better!! And they didn’t even bring our cake to sing Happy Birthday I would have paid for it!!
Made reservations for brunch. Their Idea of “brunch” was a lunch menu. Huh? No eggs, porridge, pancakes, waffles, bacon, etc.
Unfortunately, we bought the “breakfast and valet” package. Stupidly thought brunch would have some resemblance to breakfast.
Found a restaurant elsewhere.
The food was not up to par. The fish was undercooked and .frozen . the filet was not cooked properly. However, the chicken was very good. And the dessert were superb. The Caesar salad was excellent. The beet salad was also very good. It was very noisy so we had to move our seats.
Excellent service and food in a lovely setting right on the Marina. There are also tables and soft seating near fire pits outside. I will eat here again and would entertain clients there. It’s pricey as are most hotel restaurants but good
Great service, great ambiance and excellent food. It’s one of my favorite MDR restaurants. Keep up the good work!
Beautiful Sunset and good service.
Chopped Salad very good Mahi tacos not so much... very little Mahi.
Overall a nice experience
Really poor service (forgot to provide utensils), ingredients not as listed in menu. Big disappointment
Tried breakfast. $6 for parking, service slow, coffee Luke warm, food below average and not worth the price. Will pass on this restaurant
out of many meals this was the best ever at Salt
oysters, cocktils filet, and halibut perfect
We have eaten here before (within the last 4 months). At that time the server had to many tables, but he did his best & was very personable. He received a nice tip. 12/24 my date & I went here again. A 10oz pork chop & a few steamed vegetables, $38. I asked if 🍞 was available? Billed $2.50 for a small roll. One bowl of clam chowder, 2 ☕ s. Granted we didn't "Have" to eat here. I like returning to a place where there were reasonable prices, service. But Christmas Eve I feel we were completely taken advantage of. With a 18% tip (not the waiters fault) $98. I wouldn't return here on a bet. We've had 30+ booking through Open Table. Be prepared to pay with your 1st born if there is a quasi holiday (days before or the same day) Best to Open Table. Not their fault
If you can sit outside and enjoy the views of the Marina, this is a wonderful place. It's not noisy, the ambience is top and the service and food are excellent.
Regulars here and service has regressed over time. Front hostess staff needs attitude check. But, Manager tried to make it up to us by repositioning us to a nicer table. She represented a real customer service minded person!
Delicious food and an incredible view. Our waitress was one of the best. She was incredibly attentive, kind and gracious.
Wife’s Birthday that was not recognized, will never book this restaurant again. Noisy and unfriendly!!
Catching up with friends, it was our first visit. As it was a chilly night we decided to stay inside,. The ax ambiance is modern and comfortable. The selection were tasty and beautifully presented. Ordered avocado hummus, clam chowder and beet burrata salad. Salt tequila drink was tasty. Looking forward occasion to return.
Salt was a lovely place for a quiet breakfast on the water in Marina Del Rey. Not the cheapest place in town but quiet lovely.
Everyone was so friendly and service was great. The fried chicken sandwich should be higher on the menu, as it was cooked perfectly and was delicious!
Nice restaurant. Food is very good. It was very disappointing that only a turkey dinner was offered on Thanksgiving.
Average food for thanksgiving dinner. Not proper turkey but some kind of brisk turkey rolled together. Inedible.
The food is wonderful. We’ve been before and it’s consistently good, but our server was not. He was inattentive and just not on top of his tables and the restaurant wasn’t even busy at the time. We will for sure go back, but not have him as our server
Food was delicious and came out of the kitchen fast and service was great.
I thought it was over priced for what it was. Limited menu. We sat inside and it was hectic with waiters and customers walking all through the place.
Really wanted to like it more.
