Salt & Pepper
Excellent dinner, nice portions. Inside building was alittle musty and smelled, prefer seating outside. Charge for refills, learning that it’s normal for the island. Highly recommend dinner times before 6:30 pm for early bird special. 3 tapas and house sangria for $25. Couples meal 6 tapas plus pitcher of sangria for $55.
The food and service is a hit or miss.
I have been going here for a few years and this will be the last.
I wanted this to continue as a “go to spot”, but there are to many restaurants that are better.
Sad to write this.
Chelsea our waitress was very attentive! Took care of us. Can’t wait to go back next January.
We have gone to Salt & Pepper for many years now every time we go to Aruba!! We love it there!!
Decent small plates, but no standouts. Wahoo was overcooked.
Cena veloce stile tapas. Anche se era tardi ci hanno servito senza problemi
How this has any positive reviews is beyond me. First off, this is not tapas. No traditional tapas dishes. What they do have is greasy and tasteless. Non-alcoholic drinks have so much ice there is nothing in them. Alcoholic drinks are watered down. If you are a foodie, move along.
Good food and reasonably priced for Aruba
Family had a great experience.
Excellent tapas - if you are looking for easy dinner with small plates and great ambiance, this is the lace to go.
Fabulous evening of delicious Tapas and Sangria. We have enjoyed seafood and steaks on the island on several nights so we were looking for a place that offered some variety. Salt & Pepper was it! Our server Jeff was attentive and offered some great suggestions. We over ate because we wanted to try so many different things. If you are looking to take a break from Thanks Jeff, Rod and staff for a wonderful experience.
A variety of choices. Good service. it was bit dark so hard to see the menu.
Loved it. Food was real good. So many choices to choose from
Left hungry. Didn’t care for the food
Very good service. Great sangria. Casual ambience.
The food was edible but the grouper had a large taste of egg on the batter. And the baked Brie was very pungent making the taste off-putting. The stars were the Mahi mahi and egg rolls. the service was some of the best we’ve had in the Caribbean.
salt and pepper is one of our standard go tos when in Aruba! Great value, good food, good specials
Worst meal ever. Totally inedible. Ordered five tapis dishes and they were all served cold (problem was they were all suppose to be hot) and the taste was terrible. Two were so bad (the grouper and the special scallop) that we could not swallow them. The rest were slightly better. Save your money and go to McDonald’s.
Poor quality food. Better off with a TGI Friday’s
We had a great meal of tapas and really enjoyed everything we tried. I wish we ordered more but we had a toddler with makes dinners quick! Service was fast and friendly. We will keep this on our list of go to quick, inexpensive, family friendly dinners
Great tapas and great bartender drinks were awesome
After 8 nights of rich food we were looking for something lighter. We found it at Salt and Pepper. The tapas were great and then 2 salads were just perfect. Good wine list too. Nice music while we were eating from out front also.
Salt and Pepper is fun but they no longer have Coors Light. Nice happy hour specials and pleasant staff.
I came for the Early Bird for 1 special. 3 tapas and a glass of sangria. The food was fine. The sangria was fine, though I've had better. The service was fine too, until it was time to pay. I finished my meal before I finished my sangria, so I told the server I would stay to finish my drink. That's when she went to the bar to eat dinner and chat with another person. She NEVER looked over to see if I was ready yet. After several minutes I had to flag down another server to request my bill. He brought the bill and charged me for the sangria which is supposed to be included with the Early Bird, so I had to flag him down again to correct it, flag him down *again* to re-run my card with the adjusted amount, and one more time for him to return my card with the revised bill. By the time I was able to pay my bill and leave, it was 30 minutes after I was finished. Not once did my original server acknowledge my existence during that entire time. So her tip was also "adjusted" to reflect her nonchalance. I hadn't been to Salt & Pepper for a while before this, and I am certainly not going to return after being treated with such apathy.
Edited to add: Remember when I wrote that my card was run twice? Once with the wrong amount and once with the correction? Even though I didn't sign the first receipt (I even wrote "VOID" across it), they submitted both receipts so I was charged twice! Took me months to get that straightened out. Another reason why I'll never patronize Salt & Pepper again -- my money isn't going to support thieves.
Very good experience.
We enjoyed the tapas special with the sangria. The food was excellent!
Have been to Salt it was just as good as some of the other pricier, nicer toes in the sand places. The first course was a delicious mustard soup. Now we have NEVER, EVER seen something like this on a menu anywhere and were intrigued. Boy, was it good! The wahoo was well done, but that's how most things on the island are cooked. The waffle she did a really nice job. Oh, and the pitcher of sangria was also good! Prices are par for the course for the island and no service charge was added. Worth stopping by for lunch or dinner.
Great little tapas style restaurant. Reminded us of the Izakaya style restaurants we love in Japan.
Our only issue would be the cost in relation to the size of each tappa
We paid $125 for 3 drinks and our meal for 2.
Previous to my booking this reservation I read some incredible reviews. As we were going on our vacation I decided to make a reservation. We were greatly impressed by everything on the menu that we had which was excellent. The service was very excellent and timely and the price very reasonable considering the value overall.
We shall be returning in about eight months to do it all again. Thank you Robert W Stack
Good selections on the menu. Great food. Fun atmosphere.
One of our favorite dining spots but the flies were terrible, especially compared to other outside eating places.
Great atmosphere and value. Ordered the early bird tapas and sangria combo. Excellent variety.
We made lunch reservations for around 1:30 however wasn't necessary. we walked write in and were seated with no problems or delays. The decor was nice with hundreds of different Salt & Pepper shakers on display of all sizes and shapes. We sat outside in the shade with a nice breeze and were able to have a pleasant conversation. The 4 of us each had something different and all meals were good with generous portions.
Great tapas menu. Good variety. We enjoyed the mango shrimp tapas especially. The waitress was very friendly. Service was outstanding
Great tapas
Neat place with salt and pepper shakers all over the walls. Some 1600
So good we went back the next day to have the tapas we missed day 1
Amazing tapas!!!
Wonderful time
Great service
Overall everything was good here. However, there was confusion with where we could sit. I’m not sure why they take reservations if it is a sit yourself type of place. We were a party of 5 and we waited about 15 minutes with a reservation for a table.
The restaurant was recommended to us by a friend, and we are glad we visited it. Food is excellent and value for your money. The place is nice and cozy. We will go back !!
Good but nothing to write home about it.
