   On Wednesday April 30, 2025  730 reservation# 128917  at Salt and Barrel and were initially very impressed. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, the service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by the specialty cocktails. The drink glasses were shockingly small—perhaps only 4 ounces—and priced between $17 to $20. This was a significant disappointment, especially given that on a previous visit, the drinks were served in standard-sized glasses. This change felt almost insulting, as if the guests were being taken advantage of. It’s a real shame, because Salt and Barrel has so much going for it. But this kind of pricing and presentation on drinks leaves a sour taste, figuratively speaking. Sadly, we won’t be returning and can’t recommend it to friends or family based on this experience.

   All the food was salty and salmon over cooked. One of the Gin drinks tasted like cough medicine - had to send back. Server wasn’t friendly. We came here for my husbands birthday and unfortunatly we didn’t enjoy the restaurant - won’t be returning.

   Always a perfect 10. We could write a review every week, and probably should. We always get a great table and one of our two favorite servers, Effi or Vinny, but all of the servers are great. The drinks are over the top, the shellfish always fresh, and the food perfectly cooked. There is a reason that we go there almost once per week and will continue.

   My husband, daughter and I celebrated Easter & my birthday. The service (Emily G), was excellent. Food was amazing. We are very happy we chose salt & Barrel for today’s dinner. My husband & I go for Happy Hour, oysters and drinks, often. But today’s dinner was perfect!! Thankyou so much for a great dinner!! ♥️

   Top shelf service and food. Oysters were fresh, cocktail was deliciously smooth. What a great spot for Happy hour and beyond. Will 100% return soon

    Excellent meal with varied menu. Salmon was excellent as were drinks and clams. A bit loud so not the place for romantic dinner , but great addition to south shore
