Vincent (our waiter) was incredible. He made perfect suggestions, made sure everything we ordered was served exactly the way we ordered. Friendly, inviting atmosphere. Incredible food, orgasmic (seriously from appetizers, oysters, entree & dessert). Highly recommend. I cannot wait to go back!
Bartender was outstanding in making drink requested . Our food was very good and tasty our waiter was sub par to average and was not very attentive . the food server did not speak a word. the bus people were very attentive.
Fantastic as always - the oysters are amazing and the price during Happy Hour just can't be beat. Had the wedge salad with house made bacon to go along with them this time and it was off the charts.
As someone who dines out frequently I was very disappointed with the quality and taste of the food. Service was unfriendly and rushed.
We had the Halibut special and it was superb’. Dish was different than the norm, delicious and just superb! Can’t wait to back.

Starting off with the Hanging Vines cabernet, the oyster special, and halibut special, a tremendous evening was had by all. Food and service was exceptional

Great meal great service
We had the happy hour oysters, which are always are amazing at S&B. The Wednesday night clambake is delicious and plentiful, and comes with a caesar salad or fried calamari. I had the calamari, which was wonderful. My husband loved his shrimp and grits. The service is excellent except that it took quite a while to get served our drinks, but that was due to the slow bar service. Our only complaint is that the martini my husband had was served in a very small glass, so it was about 3 sips, and was $16! We expect to pay that in Manhattan, but not in Bayshore. He will have to stick to the happy hour drink offerings next time.

I went out with a girlfriend and tried Salt and Barrel; she is a vegetarian so we wanted a seafood restaurant that she could enjoy. We were told we had to order an appetizer and our meal at the same time since it was a Saturday night, however the table right next to us (and I mean RIGHT next to us - it was cozy..) ordered their app and then their dinner, so that was a little off putting, however the food was great. My friend ordered tuna and one piece was a little bit over done, but my salmon was perfect. I would recommend it!
Loved my meal there! My husband and I started w the calamari which was delicious but I wished it came w some lemon wedges but no biggie. I ordered the lobster tail dinner, which was so tasty but was also $66. I do feel like for that price, it could have come w a salad as well. The cost seemed high in my opinion for the amount of food received. Other than that everything was very good and service was exceptional. We are definitely planning on going back.
service was not friendly, food was cold and had to be reheated. overpriced for what we paid not one of the best in Bayshore there are much better restaurants to go to

My husband and I have been to Salt and Barrel quite a few times, and we made these reservations about a month in advance. Upon our arrival, the hostess sat us in the back, in the middle of a cluster of two-tops that typically aren’t there (I think they added tables in anticipation of it being busy for Valentine’s Day). It was uncomfortably tight, and we were on top of other couples and could hear their conversations. Other couples were sat at larger tables, in the middle of the restaurant with lots of space, which really made me upset. We ended up spending close to $300 on our dinner, which was delicious, but we were uncomfortable and confused as to why other couples were getting large tables right in front of us. This completely ruined our experience. Why would a couple who made reservations far in advanced, that were nicely dressed, get cramped in the back of a restaurant while other couples were seated at large tables? This was one of our favorite restaurants but this really ruined it for us.
The food was outstanding, our sever was very helpful, and the ambience was great. There was also live music which was excellent. Our cocktails were also delicious. Will definitely return!

Service and food were excellent. We arrived at 7:15 for our meal and were not rushed at all even though the restaurant kept filling up. At 9:30 the band began to play and the music was great...and LOUD. We realized that at that time it was more of a bar crowd so we enjoyed the music for awhile before ending our evening. Definitely would return knowing that dinner on the earlier side is a good choice for us.
Good drinks, good food, GREAT service...always enjoy my time there, whether for dinner, brunch, or just hanging out at the bar.
We all thought it was overpriced for the portion size, but the food was very good. We probably will not go back, but we would recommend it if you like small portions. Thank goodness for happy hour drinks.

Went for Brunch, a unique Brunch menu. We enjoyed our overall experience. The service was wonderful and the Mimosa's were good. The drinks were priced fair, food seemed a little over priced. Interior space very cool and trendy, felt like NYC. Good people watching from our table near window on Main Street.
We had a little bit of a wait for our table but there was room at the bar have a drink.

Cold Smoked Oysters were excellent, as well as the papa fritas. We got 4 types of oysters, the beach blonde was my all time favorite, I could eat a dozen of them easily. The biscuits were light and fluffy and even the ravioli was good. The mains were just average we got the miso glazed cod and the pork gnocchi. Our dessert is in our fridge pending review. Cocktails were delicious, I especially enjoyed the parasol. Will definitely be back.

The service is quite attentive and friendly. The dining room I has good energy and is orchestrated with thoughtfulness and a presence that nurtured our experience with them.
The food, the selection of seasonal ingredients is based on a variety of wholesome dishes created with a care and respectable understanding for creative expression, sound technique and a true nature for restraint.
The Flavors were forward and clean as well as layered to enhance the natural elements.
Our evening was a delight and was timed with precision.
Very underwhelmed with our dinner. Burrata was ok but crostini was so hard it was barely chewable and there was soooo much balsamic reduction. The baked clams were bland and very dry. The gigantic lobster tail (approx 18 oz).my husband & I ordered as entree was terrible. Came sliced on bed of some kind of hash with Brussels sprouts etc. the lobster tail was horrible... very tough, very dry. Left most of dish & no one even asked why. Beautiful place but all our seafood was extremely dried out...like it sat under heat lamp too long. Wanted to like this place but food was a no.
