Brunch was great. Our server, Hannah, was very pleasant and gave us some recommendations of places to visit while in town.
Did the coolinary menu. Frizzle sticks should be avoided at all costs - the gorgonzola dip that comes with them is terrible. Market salad was good. The Croque Benedict and Crawfish frittata were fine but I expected more flavor from dishes with a crystal hollandaise. Dessert here is the star and the s'mores skillet was good but they ran out of bread pudding severely limiting options.
The staff is incredible and super friendly. When they saw my gf didn't like her doberge they made a custom replacement dessert of macarons and gelato.
Overall a nice space and might be fun for a boozy brunch but not some place I particularly want to return to
We were running late & I called to let them know, but did not get an answer. Within minutes, they were calling us and held the table. Thank you for the great service-we know it's not always possible to accommodate such changes.
The staff was awesome and the food delicious!
We did the afternoon tea which was truly lovely. Three courses of wonderful sweet and savory bites. The upstairs Salon is well appointed and even has a balcony seating option. My only criticism is the device was initially a bit confused. The server appeared to have been in training and didn’t know how the tea service and menu operates. It took about 15 minutes for someone else to
Pick up on and address the confusion. After that they tag teamed at the table and all went well. I’d definitely recommend this lovely island in the Quartet. Oh. And the bakery below the Salon sells wonderful, perfectly crafted treats.
Birthday Brunch was great and the food was fantastic.
They were out of the first two things I ordered but my third choice was delicious none the same.
Excellent spot for brunch and/or desserts! Take your lady here and she will definitely enjoy :) On Sunday, they may run out of their award winning eclair, however... The ambiance modeled after a salon is executed very well; she was very impressed! Very cool spot for a date or ladies brunch.
This was a long awaited birthday light. Service was poor. Friendly yet profoundly forgetful waitress took our wine order and had to remind her when main course came - appetizers cleared before she ever returned. Brought a festive personalized plate with my name in chocolate with candle on a birthday flavored cup cake - very odd - brought it with the salad! Timing poor and I do not care for that kind of dessert let alone timing. Main dishes arrived after salads but the frites did not arrive until just before the check- which was brought to us without asking if we wanted coffee or anyone one of the special desserts Sucre is known for serving. Very loud without any sound absorbing interior. Filled with young ladies getting most of the wait service attention for their bottomless mimosas. Nota good impression - and we are locals looking for a spot in town - not Salon de Sucre for sure.
Always loved Sucre’s desserts and macarons. So I wanted to tried out their afternoon tea. Lovely experience. The creativity of the courses set them above. I’ve had afternoon tea in all major cities and internationally. Salon was in my top favorites. Can’t wait to visit NOLA again just so I can have afternoon tea at Salon. Highly recommend it.
The service here cannot be beat. We had a fantastic girls’ lunch. The waitstaff made this even more of an experience. The brunch is not to be missed. The tea is good, but the experience was more fun than how the food tasted with only two or three things tasting outstanding. The brunch, however, was absolutely delicious. The sliders were flavorful and the macaroni and cheese were unparalleled. Salon knows how to elevate everyday fare to something fancy and amazing
Well not exactly Windsor court ( tea room temp and food well only three shrimp in the salad ( it’s New Orleans ) I wouldn’t go back ( if you want excellent. Afternoon tea go to Windsor Court ( but macaroon are delish) management needs to go have tea at Windsor Court to understand afternoon tea
Never disappoints! Cute atmosphere with a fun - seasonal menu. I got the sliders - delicious! My husband got some type of BLT with a twist. French Fries were the bomb. Several couples in there at the time - one celebrating anniversary lunch and one couple having tea and a selection of desserts. Something for everyone. Be sure to stop in the bake shop in the bottom and get a truffle or macaroon for dessert!
We loved the afternoon tea at Sucre! The food, tea and pastries were so yummy! And the waitstaff was so great!!!
We went and got the full 3 course tea option. It was so so good! We will definitely be coming back. The only complaints we had were that our server could have been better and the menu was kind of misleading. The menu said “tea + soda” or “tea + cocktail” was included in the brunch price. We each ordered a tea and a drink and our ticket revealed our drinks were not included. Also, our hot water was only filled once, so we each only had one cup of tea over the entire 3 courses. But the brunch was great because we got to sample a little bit of everything, and it was very yummy! Would recommend!
I had decided to wrap up my trip to New Orleans with an Afternoon Tea service at Salon by Sucre and WOW!! I am so glad I did! I read the mixed reviews and honestly they were busy but they were able to accommodate my schedule when I told them ahead of time I had to leave in an hour to catch my flight. The waitress was kind enough to ask the chefs and came back and said they could deliver! I also don’t eat ham and they made substitutions for me on the fly - it was I credit impressive! Service was a bit slow but the waitress was incredibly busy. I think they need to hire more people or have the hostess and bartender help out with tea refills or clearing the tables. Overall the staff were friendly and the overall experience was delightful. Had it been a little cooler - I would’ve enjoyed being out on the cute balcony. Since I was dining alone, I couldn’t finish all the bite sized desserts and was able to pack it with me. The Afternoon Tea was a bit pricey but I felt very satisfied afterwards. Definitely worth the $45! Yea selection was also good with pretty standard offerings of loose tea which was nice. Definitely recommend this place! The food was delicious and the desserts are amazing! A must try!
Brunch out on the balcony is amazing. Perfect place to people watch and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Quarter. Drinks are always amazing. Food is consistently delicious. Definitely a favorite brunch place!
The food and drinks were great. Food came out a little slow. Took over 20 minutes for appetizers alone. Other than the wait the food was amazing!
Went there with some friends for brunch, and the food an atmosphere was amazing!
We were the first table, and our food came out cold. It's average food. Restaurant smells like Bourbon street. It's meh.
The place is cute and very chic. The drinks were great and the brunch was amazing!
After me and my daughter were seated not one waitress acknowledged us or stopped by our table. We waited 20 minutes and no one ever came to our table to even take our drink order!! It was not that busy and there were about five waitresses, a bartender, and a hostess. We walked out and still no one ever noticed us. Very very disappointing since it was a birthday lunch for my daughter.
We could not have asked for a better experience. We’re celebrating a birthday and we picked out the cake downstairs and they served it upstairs with cocktails and festivities. Lovely experience. ❤️❤️
We were there for brunch celebrating my granddaughter’s birthday. The experience was delightful!
Went to salon by sucre for bachelorette brunch on a recent trip to NOLA. The first floor is the sweet shop & the aroma is so inviting. Upstairs is the actual restaurant and the staff who assisted us were all so warm and informative on their menu. Food was so good & the servings were more than we expected. Would definitely go back if I lived closer!
Most of the food was good. They did not have any whole grain bread options but I was able to substitute salad for fries with my BOLT sandwich and the oysters and bacon were perfect. The Afternoon Tea was unimpressive, ginger sanwiches were on the dry side and some of the deserts were a bit stale or tasted like they had absorbed refrigerator odors. The tea my daughter ordered was on the menu but was not available. Downstairs the Macrons were much fresher and we saw the tea that wasn’t available upstairs in boxes downstairs. I would eat at Salon again but I don’t recommend the Tea.
How excited we were to visit Salon by Sucre for the first time. Unfortunately, we didn’t have wonderful experience that we were expecting.
First, the cheese and charcuterie board was not available.
Second, the wait staff that we experienced were super polite and courteous. However, the disappointment came from the wait staffs service skills. The two servers didn’t bring drinks when requested, did not keep our water glasses or coffee filled without having to ask.
Third, the food was presented in a manner that was very enjoyable to look at. In addition, the taste of the good was really nice.
Based on our individual groups experience, we would not return to this eatery, except for deserts of course.
I’ve been to your place a lot... I work just around the corner. Our waitress was kind and very professional, but slow... took her at less 10 minutes to acknowledge the table....
I got the caprese sandwich and the bread was bit over done...very crispy and dark. Very hard to eat. The toppings delicious.
All in all it was good. But usually excellent.
Our food was amazing! Our drinks were good as well. My only complaint is the service. Our server barely checked on us even though we were in an area that she constantly walked past, she just completely avoided eye contact! Also, one of the food runners was rude to me when he brought out the food for the other 5 people at my table. I just looked around wondering if someone else was behind him bringing my food and he loudly said "BE PATIENT". My food then came out 10 MINUTES after everyone else's. Although I enjoyed the beet salad, I was not warned that it was not the listed ingredients in salad form, but instead as like a rolled beet volcano. Very delicious, just caught me off guard! That probably had something to do with why my food took even longer than the cooked meals my friends got but nevertheless, I was expecting a salad with beets on/in it so I was offended by the rude tone of the food runner. Go, get bottomless mimosas (or just 1 like I did), and have a good time chatting with your friends over brunch!
Wonderful as always
Girls Night Out
A little underwhelming. The scene was great. Cute sweet shoppe below and the restaurant was great. But the service was SLOW. Was without silver ware even though our food was at the table. Had to ask multiple times. The food was also VERY bland. This was the biggest surprise because it’s New Orleans and we expected better flavor. The sweet shoppe was lovely, probably wouldn’t come back here.
I was so excited for this place, but left disappointed (and on my birthday nonetheless). I requested a balcony table in my reservation and mentioned it was my birthday. They said the tables outside were booked, as well as an inside booth table we requested afterwards. No one was ever seated at those tables. No one even wished me a happy birthday. Our appetizer came out wrong, and our Benedict's came out cold. All of my stars go to ambiance. Will not be back and don't recommend.
Such a fun place to have a birthday party, baby or bridal shower. Excellent food and great ambiance!
We were a party of five celebrating my husband's birthday. We are all foodies. None of us enjoyed our meal. The only exception was the cheese board we ordered as and appetizer.
Four for afternoon tea. It was delightful! Maybe a bit heavy on the sweets versus the savory, but every bite was good!
Mardi Gras tea was just fabulous!! Food was so delicious. So enjoyed it.
Beet salad was heavenly. Server provided extraordinary service. A bit loud with everyone having fun! We will be back!
Horrible service. This place is usually my favorite go to brunch spot but today was very disappointing. 25 minutes after we were seated we ordered the tea service but were informed they were sold out. No water for 30 minutes. It took 2 and a half hours to get our food. The waitress took 20 minutes every time to bring cocktails to us. The place was not even crowded. There were empty tables around us.
Great food!! Great atmosphere!
