Salito's Crab House & Prime Rib
The food is delicious and the wait staff is very accommodating. The San Dobs never disappoints!
View of the water is wonderful. Food was overpriced and over cooked.
This was my third visit to Salito's. On my past visits I would have rated the food very high. On this day, the restaurant was slow as it was a holiday weekend and I am guessing folks were traveling. I love the ambiance and the waterside dining at this restaurant and the service has always been good for us. Unfortunately the food was not up to par this time. We ordered prime rib to split which was $49 and came with a few potatoes. For the price, the serving seemed small, but we are not big eaters and usually split a meal. We also had the crab cocktail which was enjoyable. We ordered the prime rib medium rare, but arrived medium to medium well, not pink at all. We ate it without complaining, but after we left my husband and I discussed it and both felt it was not worthy of the price. I would still go back and recommend to others because of my past experiences, but would not recommend the prime rib. We did enjoy the $50 bottle of Rombauer Chardonnay which was a bargain :-)
Wonderful lunch at the restaurant. The food was superb, delicious and presented very nicely. The view was spectacular. Would love to come back again. Strongly recommended.
Amazing food, amazing views
garlic cheese bread, Wedge salad , muscle crab shrimp plater , Prime Rib... Half bottle of Coppola Zinfandel.. food was amazing, last for wine , do Plan ahead if it's busy and there we had a reservations and was in there immediately..
I was pleased. I told them we had out of town visitors and they gave us a water view table. The food is a little pricey but I’m sure it’s not cheap to operate in that location and the portions they give you are very good. The rombauer Chardonnay at under 50 a bottle is a bargain. (Not sure if they are still doing that. )
Even with reservations my.wife and I had to stand and wait for almost 40 minutes. Waiters we nice but very forgetful and spread thin.
I celebrated Valentines Day with my wife. I came here for Father’s Day in 2019 and loved it so much I had to return.
Great Food and Service we were very pleased with everything also our waitress seated us at a fantastic view table
Will return again
This was our first time here and it was amazing we will be going back.
Very pleasant valentine's day dinner. They placed us right at the waters edge and got us in earlier than our reservation. They had some portable heaters to take the chilly edge off.
Great food and service! The views are lovely as well. Overall - one of our favorite places.
no good service but write tip only 18%, 20% only. salty foods
The Manager is one of the best I have seen and our waiters are always on top of it checking in on us at the appropriate times. Have been going here for over 6 years and love every minute of it.
Great place. Location is tight on the water so it has a beautiful view. Food and drinks were delicious.
The shrimp was undercooked and the side dish of potatoes tasted like it had been in a warmer all day. The quality of the food was terrible. I don’t understand why it was busy. I will never eat there again. On a positive note the staff was very nice.
Excellent service! The crab legs were well seasoned but could've added a bit more and ceasar salad was bland. Overall when in Sausalito again we plan to return to Salito's.
This trip was a Xmas gift and the food and ambiance helped make it a very special weekend
Salitos twice did not have my reservation from open table. Once in May 2019 and Sat 8 2020
It was fantastic. Megan is the best server in Marin!
We went for the crab and the food was a disappointment. Crab cakes tasted like deep fried soggy breadcrumbs. Crab enchilada was flavorful but little crab and and the spiciness overwhelmed the delicate crab flavor.
Crab bisque was good. Ambience good. Service very good.
Probably would go back but certainly not rushing there. Would try something else for food
Party of 6 for my mother’s birthday. Each of us enjoyed a delicious meal and thoughtful and prompt service. Many were first time at Salito’s and all were impressed and gave a thump!
The food was good but the service was terrible. I asked for water 3 times before the waiter acknowledged it. Never saw anyone when I wanted the bill.
First time in this restaurant came during lunch time, perfect view, not crowed. Food was delicious and staff was friendly. Specialty plate Crab Dungeness is a must have!
You can always count on a great ambiance and quality food at Salito's. It's one of my favorite spots to dine when I'm in Sausalito!
Great view and food!
Absolutely delicious! We stumbled upon this place last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. The food was to die for, the server was excellent and attentive, and the views were fantastic. This is a sister restaurant to the Dead Fish in Crockett. Similar menu. Just gooooo!
Filet mignon was outstanding! Side dishes were so so. Cheesecake was terrible.
We had a 9:45 reservation and the kitchen closed at 10pm. Felt a bit rushed
family went for new years eve dinner. we went in 2018 and again in 2019. we got the same waitress both times and she is the reason why we keep going back.
-the wait time was short due to online reservations
-ambiance was nice outdoors with heat lamps
-food was on point. we ordered the garlic crab and prime rib. crab was easy to crack open and the prime rib melts in your mouth
-parking was easy
we definitely wouldn’t mind making this place our annual go to
This place is beautiful and has great views. We carne on a busy night (New Years eve) so I feel like the servers couldn’t keep up with our needs as well (drinks). Our filet was also VERY underdone. The center was completely raw when asked for medium, but it was taken care of right away. I would also blame that on the busy night but everyone at the table that had been there before said that that’s how they do it. So just a note for next time. But I will definitely be back on a slower night!
We told people we were coming here for New Year's Eve and everyone told us that it is a total touristy restaurant. I hesitated in going and almost canceled. So glad I didn't. Such a charming spot. We sat close to the water. It was a very cold evening but the heat lamps were perfect. The place was very busy but the service was still impeccable and the food delicious. What a treat! We will definitely be back.
We were seated by the window and the view was incredible. The food came quickly and it was awesome! We would definitely go back again. Loved it!
Nice, big bar area
We arrived early and they were able to sit us before our reservation which was great. However, after we were seated, they had water brought to the table but we didn’t see a waiter for 10 plus minutes. We decided to leave sensing this might be indicative of how the evening would play out. Maybe next time - or not.
Great service from our sever
Pretty good! It’s nice to be able to go out for dinner on Christmas, I appreciate everyone who worked on a holiday. But the service is really lacking. Had to ask several times for water, and our waiter pretty much just showed up to take a drink order, take our food order, check in once, and then bring the check. But it seems like there were dozens of workers milling about, and they were having a great time chatting with one another. This was our third visit, and I have felt the same way every time. That they don’t really focus on the service aspect. The food is acceptable, and we will probably visit again, but only because it’s a nice place for Christmas dinner.
Busy because it is Christmas, but the food was incredible!!!
