Birthday dinner, very expensive for the food offered. Paying for the area

Awesome food with great service. Chef Jay made our anniversary date one to remember. Also the upstairs bar has incredible views of the Dallas skyline.

It wasn't very busy but the service seemed slow. It was my first time in there and I would go again as long as I'm not in any hurry.

Food was mediocre and service was just poor. We ordered an appetizer, an entree to split. Their bread was good, but the dipping sauce not so much. Their zucchini chips are greasy and not crispy.

When the main course was brought out, by another waiter, he just placed it in the middle of the table. I had to ask for plates and he came back with bread plates!! Are you kidding?
My husband was still eating when the waiter came by to ask if we were ready for dessert. I

We had to tell him we’re not finished but if you want to bring the dessert menu go ahead. We felt rushed and for splitting everything it was too expensive. We won’t be going back.

Mixed experience. Appetizers kind of blah including over fried, over breaded, dry, horrible calamari. Pastas were pretty good. Nice patio area.

My wife and I went there again this year on the 4th, we had a great dinner and the service was even better. We were just about finished and asked our waiter if the upstairs was open already for the fireworks show. He explained to us that it had been rented out for the evening and closed to the public. Very disappointing that there was nothing posted about it not being open to the public. My wife and love that ambiance every year on the 4th there at Saint Rocco's.

Very disappointing as we went home for the evening. Was looking forward to the bar upstairs and the fireworks show in the cool air conditioned bar.

Food and service were excellent like I stated before!

The food at Saint Rocco’s was absolutely amazing! We also had a drink on the third floor bar which has a great view of the Dallas skyline.

We had a party of 4 and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The zucchini chips were addictive. My main gripe was the restaurant was dead (maybe 3 other tables) and our service was sloooooow. The server disappeared for long stretches. We wanted dessert but by the time he reappeared we'd changed our minds. We walked down to LUCK instead.

After hearing rave reviews, I was excited to try St. Rocco’s as I haven’t had good Italian food since I left Boston. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. I ordered the lasagna, which oddly contained smoked brisket. My boyfriend ordered the Bolognese that tasted exactly the same as my dish. The antipasto was also disappointing. Only one artichoke heart and Gorgonzola cheese??? Strange choice. I was hoping for an authentic Italian meal but unfortunately they were trying to be too clever and ruined the classics. I will not return.

Melita (mgr) always makes her guests feel special, and the wait staff are attentive without hovering. Outstanding dishes at our table included linguini and clams, lasagna, and Chef Jay’s amazing lobster ravioli. The wine list is also outstanding.

The dining room was really nice and I was glad I was able to make reservations for my anniversary night. I had high hopes for the food based on reading reviews, but maybe due to it being a busy sat night I was so disappointed. I had the baked penne pasta, which was a featured dish that night. I couldn't eat half of my pasta because it was left in the oven so long it cooked the pasta till it was rock hard. It was also supposed to have a cream sauce, and I thought maybe the kitchen ran out. The pasta only had a drizzle of olive oil. I also ordered a bottle of wine that I ended up having to pour myself. My wife had the lasagna and we ended up just sharing that.

I was celebrating my wife's birthday and we haven't seen each other in 2 months because of work. It was recommended from a friend we visit because of the view from upstairs. I called and asked what was needed to get a seat with a nice view and was told to simply put that on the reservation online. When we got to the restaurant we were sat downstairs without a view. I asked the hostess about our nice view she said upstairs was a private event. I shrugged it off and sat down. The food was okay, but i can get better italian food in Tulsa for half of the price at Mondo's restaurant. The waiter informed us they only had one bartender and it took 15 minutes for our drinks to come. Then there was no special thing for her birthday despite having an option online for celebrating a birthday. What is the point of the online features at all if none of it is taken into consideration? Anyway would not recommend the restaurant based off of food, service, and price.

They didn't have a great variety on the menu. And I requested something special for our anniversary and they did absolutely nothing. Didn't even bother with a dessert menu.

Negatives - No recognition for birthday. Cocktails were poor tasting. Server offered to remake one - still meh. Every single dish has meat - non vegetarian friendly; even got rid of a dish that was.

Positives - everyone liked their dish - picky child ate up his food. Bread was good. Service overall good. They made a bow tie pasta dish without chicken.

We have been here more than twice. Service was super slow again!!!! And the restaurant was not even busy. Our server was not in it or mentally checked out. Our apps and soup and salad took forever we saw they were just sitting in the window and others servers were just waiting and talking on the side. If your fellow server is busy run your fellow servers food. It’s about customer service this restaurant definitely lacks it!

Specifically told them ahead of time was a birthday celebration. No acknowledge was made. Server seemed standoffish because I bet he assumed a no to small tip. Unacceptable when you are dealing with the public. Food was good. It was loud due to being placed in between a bridal party group and another group. Disappointed regarding atmosphere for my husband birthday.

St Roccos offers wonderful Northern Italian food in the heart of Trinity Groves. The inside of the restaurant is filled with warm reds on the walls and in the kithchen tiles, which is open for you to see where the magic happens. The white table cloths and low lights create a cozy atmosphere. When weather permits, I prefer to eat outside where you can dine at little cafe tables and watch the sun set over the Dallas skyline. The wine selection is very nice. Best of all, it is affordable fine dining.

The food was good and the location is great. My only gripe is that we were seated at 7pm. Waited for one more guest who arrived at 7:20. By 9:20 we were still there. Either the kitchen is slow or the server was new but there was not a huge crowd. The time it took to receive our food and check was entirely to long.

Really nice first visit to Saint Rocco's. Bartender and before-dinner drinks were top notch. Appetizers were tasty, as well. Entrees were okay, lots of spice but, ironically, not lots of flavor. ?? Will definitely go back and try it again, tho, because the atmosphere was outstanding. Service was great. Really nice place for a date night. Loved the music they played, too!
