Saint Rocco's at Trinity Groves
We enjoyed our experience at Saint Rocco's, but probably won't come back. The food was good, but for the price I expected a lot more. The food was comparable to a good day at Olive Garden, but more expensive. The ambiance was ok, but nothing super special.
Our food came out quick even though there was not an empty table in sight. The waiter was attentive he came by several times. We had a great experience.
This was my second visit to Saint Rocco's. The first visit was extraordinary. The circumstances were different as it was a quiet evening. Everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere were perfect. My second visit was on a very busy Saturday eveing. It was very loud, the service was hectic as the waiter kept bumping in to my table, and the quality of the food was less than expected. I had the braised pork on a bed of polenta. The first time I had it it was extraordinary...a meal for the ages. On this second vist it was mediocre at best. The polenta was lumpy and uneven, not smoth and creamy as the first time. The pork was rather dry and tough, not moist and succulent as the first time. The au jus was rather vapid and not rich and brothy as the first time. It was a disappointing experience.
Food was very good. Service was good, not great. We felt slightly over priced. We would recommend.
Definitely enjoyed the experience. We went for a birthday celebration. The thing I would suggest is if host staff could give better instructions on how we will know when our table is ready. I also wished the upstairs patio was opened to the public again. We were told that it's no longer available just to take pictures but for events only.
St Rocco's is like going home to a gr
I had a late reservation on Valentine’s Day so it was understandable that they’d be a bit busier than usual. Had a few hiccups that management took care of pretty quickly which I was grateful for. Overall pleasureable experience. Would return.
I brought my girlfriend here for Valentine’s Day. The service was VERY fast (not in a rushing way, but anytime we requested something, our waiter had it right away). They started us out with free zucchini chips and bread with a red sauce for dipping. Our cocktails were both delicious. For the entree, I had the spicy shrimp linguine which was just spot on. Like wow. It was very spicy though so some might not enjoy it. But I really enjoyed it. My girlfriend got the crab risotto. Our plates were both practically licked clean lol. We went to the rooftop porch for dessert, drinks, and a skyline view. Overall a very satisfying experience. We will be back very soon
Super unimpressive; food, service, atmosphere. 3rd floor has a great view of the parking lot.
Very good food. We were in a rush to make a play and they were very accommodating by bringing our food out quickly. We'll go back another day when we have time to sit and enjoy. It's pricey though, I'll have to save up.
The food was fantastic, service great, and ambiance was terrific!
Excellent atmosphere and outstanding service. Food was delicious!
Great food and service. We celebrated a birthday and were treated very well. Would definitely return and recommend.
The food was fantastic. For the price, I'd expect more food than what I received. I have never left an Italian restaurant hungry....until eating here.
This has become one of my favorite places to eat Italian. The flavors are real Italian.. which is sometimes hard to find in Dallas, as recipes are "adapted" to what restaurants think Americans want to eat..
The manager is a absolute doll and ready to help with anything.. Go try it out. It's great!
The Ambience is AMAZING! I'm going back just for that alone. I ordered chicken parmesan. It was okay. I've actually had better. I'm going to give them another try. Go to this restaurant you want be disappointed
Really liked the atmosphere. Food was pretty good. I would return.
Great restaurant just kinda loud food great and server was attentive
Saint Rocco's ROCKS! The food was delicious - be sure to try the tableside bruschetta. They serve wines on tap by the carafe and half carafe - a great value and an excellent selection. The entrees are generous and cooked to perfection. Our server, Ray, was possibly the best server I've ever had anywhere. He was knowledgeable, personable, attentive but not overbearing. He made the whole evening fun and enjoyable. I'll definitely be back to Trinity Groves but from now on I'm only eating at Saint Rocco's. Can't wait until their upper patio is open.
Fab menu and great service! What more could you want?
Great food, good service and large portions! The bread with tomato dipping sauce and zucchini crisps are a great tough. The 3 cheese ravioli is amazing!
Well the waiter was so busy we never saw him after the food came, even though the restaurant was only half full. The was Terrible. I ordered the pulled pork with polenta, it was Aweful. I wasn’t sure if it was pork or beef, but whatever it was, it was so Dry, the polenta was Lumpy and thick - not creamy and smooth the way it’s supposed to be. Plus if it was beef, my version is a thousand times better. The presentation of the food was Terrible, they must have put a pound of meat on my plate if not more, it was ridiculous no one would even want to eat that much. You know Grodan Ramsey said, if you can’t cook better than a home cook, they will not come back. That is Exactly how I feel, since the plate of food I brought home went to my dogs, at least they liked it.
food was salty and just simply not good. Edible, but not good enough to go back.
Love St. Rocco’s! Food is amazing and service is fantastic.
Not worth the prices.no personality from servers they completely ruined a veal chop with a heavy sauce . I can't stand restaurants that use new York in their name..nothing like it!
Great spot for dinner, True hidden gem in Trinity Groves!
We were greeted immediately by the most friendly and fun hostesses. Our waitress, Jessica, was amazing and the Manager was fantastic. She helped us choose our wine which was a Chianti and it was truly delicious! We had spaghetti, manacotti, spicy shrimp linguine and lobster ravioli and everything was fantastic! This will be one of our favorite and regular places to eat.
Fantastic. Lady who seated us explained the wine menu, then the manager came by to say welcome. Our waiter came quickly, and drink refills and empty plate removal was immediate as we needed it. Gosh, our meals were delicious, with our waiter checking on us, but not too annoyingly much. My date ordered a dessert port, and the manager came with a bottle with not enough left for a full glass, and gave her the last of the bottle complimentarily. We chatted with the manager for several minutes, and she was delightful.
We were going to see Hamlet later that night, and a few reviews I read made me concerned that service might be slow, but that was not the case. Fast, friendly, knowledgeable service was constant, from the manager down to the busboy, and the food was awesome. I'm going back.
Service Was fast and efficient food was hot Flavorful and excellent. After dinner dessert drinks were very flavorful and ice cold . I will definitely go back there again .
We visited on a Sunday night 1-5-19 and they were not busy. We had Fred as our waiter and he explained a lot to us as we talked with him through the evening. Our food was excellent and the service was impeccable. We will visit again. I would imagine they get really busy because the food, service and good prices that do not break the bank. We are anxious to visit the rooftop bar.
Celebrating a promotion
The service was great. We enjoyed the food as well. We will definitely come back again.
What a great find this place is. The food was beyond compare, so delicious, and a nice quiet atmosphere. The prices are way lower than I expected, especially for the quality. Will definitely be back!
It was during NYE when my girlfriend and I dinned at this establishment and the food and service were both exceptional. I would highly recommend this restaurant to my friends and I will definitely be back.
Good food, great service
NYE 2018! Family style options were a great choice.
Service was SLOW but friendly; had to ask for pepper twice, more tomato sauce for bread twice, had to pour our own wine (didn't have a decanter for a very nice bottle of red). I ordered a round of bellinis to start with and it took another 25 minutes before the waiter took our order; we ordered a large salad to share and we never got salad plates so we had to get our own plates from an area by the windows. I also had sent the restaurant an email and called and left a message the day of our reservation requesting a special birthday dessert plate. I asked the waiter about it twice and he finally came back and said they didn't have any information or know anything about the request. No manager every came around asking how the food/service was.
Otherwise, the food was good - interior reminds me of an Italian restaurant in NYC; portion size was of good value. I'd come back to sit on the rooftop bar.
The food was exceptional until my companion was caught off guard with the style of banana pudding offered by the Chef. I am allergic to bananas, so I couldn’t judge the pudding. Everything else was great!
Great food and service. First time here and will be back.
EVERYTHING we ate was marvelous. Bread for the table had a crispy crust and soft inside. Tomato Basil soup was creamy and slightly sweet--the best tomato basil soup I've had. We are vegetarian, so we ordered the MARGHERITA pizza. It was sublime. Our friends had the Veal Parm and the Chicken Parm. They said it was one of the best they'd had and they Italians from NYC. The two items that stood out for me were the bread and the soup. Would go back again and again and again.
