   Menu is very limited. I know it is early in the season but that should Be an opportunity to shine. Service was not good. No one asked if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered an appetizer that never came. When we asked the waiter acted like we never placed the order. Asked for rolls never got any. Never asked if we needed anything dessert coffee The food was very good. Scallops were done nicely and very tasty. Steak was cooked perfectly and the salmon also great. Greens were pre dressed. To much dressing. Overall it was an ok experience but service very lacking .

   Hello Lynn, thank you for taking the tine to share your feedback, it is a very important tool for us to make sure that our service and food is always not just meeting but exceeding our guests expectations. I am extremely happy to hear that your scallops, salmon and steak were tasty and perfectly done. I do however regret to hear you experienced some concerns with service and will definitely address that issue. As you can see from our other reviews, this is not something that we have happen in the Safari Room. We take great pride in that fact and hope that you will come back to visit us and see that. In 10 days we will be transitioning to the peak season for Newport and we cannot wait to expand our operation as the business demand in the area increases and look forward to you joining.

   We didn’t really think about the fact that the outdoor patio wouldn’t be open for the season (late April), so it was definitely a different vibe than we had anticipated… This was more our fault than the restaurant’s, but it could be nice to get some heaters and have the outdoor patio open for the “early” season, because the view is the real draw. Because this is a little out of the way and part of a hotel, it was much less busy… which depending on your needs this could be a good or bad thing. We were just having a girls night dinner so it was fine for us to be able to hear our conversation and leave the table for a picture outside. The decor is fun and modern, service was wonderful and we all liked our meals. The clam chowder, goat cheese salad, parm truffle fries were fantastic. Note that because it’s a hotel, there are often weddings going on in the rooms adjacent to the restaurant, but the noise wasn’t too noticeable and didn’t bother us. We would love to come back in warmer weather!

   This was my first time here and I must say, this was one of the most beautiful locations in Newport! Not only was the location away from the hustle and bustle of Newport, there was plenty of parking, the menu had a great variety of options, and the staff were very attentive! Needless to say, we will be back and can’t wait to see the outdoor area when summer arrives!

   Thank you for making my daughter’s birthday so special last night! I highly recommend dining here. The service, food and atmosphere is top notch. We will definitely be back when we return to Newport.

   I took my grandmother to the Safari Room to celebrate my recent engagement. It was the perfect spot. The food was delicious, our waitress was perfectly attentive, and we were able to hear each other (which can sometimes be a challenge when eating out with my grandmother).

   I totally enjoyed the hotel and the dining room. The food was excellent. The view was fantastic. The service was first class. We had a wonderful dinner

    The menu was quite limited, food was good but not great . Admittedly we had high expectations but nothing was above average , the cocktail specials weee poor, one had to be returned, the service was average, but waiter seemed confused the whole night, the desert was bland, the wine pour was about as small as they come, so for the cost ( which we understood ahead of time) we did not receive much value for this dinning experience.

Guest feedback is one of the most valuable tools we have to assure that we are providing the very best in service and cuisine. We regret to hear that your experience did not exceed your high expectations. Regarding the limited menu, as advertised, we are currently running our special Valentine's pre fixe menu through 2/23 so the selections would vary from a full menu. In regards to your other comments, please know that we will share them among our team. As you can see from our other reviews, exceeding expectations is what we do best and strive for.
