Hate to see this restaurant close. A bit pricey for lunch especially, but good food in a nice atmosphere. Hope to see them reopen in a new location.

We went to Sabio for a date night and it was pretty good overall. We had a reservation and they satus in the bar area (Detention). It's cool and still has a nice ambiance but I could have done without the televisions for a date night. We had the egg roll, the fried green tomato salad, the sirloin, and the shrimp and gnocchi. My husband rated his sirloin second only to the one he had at Ruth's Chris. The gnocchi was ok--not as soft at I've had fresh gnocchi before--and the shrimp served with it were cooked perfectly. The dish was too heavy itself (butter and Parmesan sauce was very buttery), as were all of the menu options. I would like to see them add a few lighter flavors to the menu especially with the season being summer. The egg roll was very good. The salad was ok--the breading on the tomatoes seemed a bit thick. Service was very good. We had a good amount of privacy for date night conversations and very much enjoyed our evening at Sabio.

This was my first visit to Lexington, and Sabio played a large part in giving me an extremely positive impression of the city. The food, service and ambiance were all stellar. The tortilla soup was one of the best I've had.

Sound dreading materials need to be added to this environment.
The food is amazing, but you can't have a conversation. More comfortable chairs would also be nice

The architecture of the dining room is interesting but it was VERY LOUD. There were 5 tables in our room and our server literally had to yell to tell us about the specials. The food was good but not great. Good wine. I never bothered to eat my leftovers. It's okay if someone else wants to go, but I wouldn't go back intentionally.

First time at Sabio and definitely won't be our last. Definitely try the shrimp gnocchi and the chocolate cup as a nice sweet ending. 5 stars for sure.

I've had brunch and dinner at Sabios. The brunch was easily a 5-star experience. The dinner, however, was 3-stars, at best. The differences:

(1) Atmosphere: The brunch atmosphere was quieter (a table of 10 and we could all hear each other); Dinner was extremely loud (a table of 6 had to shout to carry on a conversation)

(2) Menu: The brunch menu was superior to the dinner. Steaks were average compared to others in town; the seafood was mediocre - nothing special; the brunch sandwiches and quiches were fabulous.

(3) Price: Brunch prices were very reasonable - about $8-$12 and, for the quality, very good and very worthwhile. Dinner prices were very high, considering the quality (seafood was a where from$24-$30 and steaks were $40); dinner is way overpriced.

(4) Service: At brunch, we received water and bread immediately after being seated. At dinner, it took 10 minutes to get water and 20 to get bread. At brunch, the meals were delivered in a timely manner. At dinner, my daughter's (ages 13 and 11) received their meals 20 minutes before everyone else. We did not ask why at the time as we assumed the rest were on their way out. Dinner service was very slow; it took us 2.5 hours to get out of the restaurant. I don't like to be rushed, but, even for me, that is entirely too long.

I would go back for brunch but will never do dinner at Sabios again.

We had a business dinner among friends on the patio outside and our dinner was flawless. As a hometown host, my colleagues from around the country loved the atmosphere, food, service and choices. Great for big groups and catching up with colleagues or friends.
