Quality food is always hard to find it seems anymore. Nice establishment and staff. Perfect vibe and great for an anniversary and date nite or every time you want pasta. Highly recommend. We will be back to try 3 different pastas. Yummmm

We had a great experience at Fortunato. It was quiet and appeared to be a date night favorite. It was easy to find parking. The food was great. The service was great. I would definitely recommend it.

John R. spent time at many restaurants both locally (Nicholas’ at the Omni, La Bella Italia, Café Society {Executive Chef}, Bodegas & 456 Fish) and nationally (Lacey’s Restaurant/ Manhattan & East of Athens/ Long Island). John M Mannino is an Honors Graduate of Culinary Institute of America. He was the Executive Chef of Bodega & 4 5 6 Fish prior to opening Mannino's. John M also won the Inaugural 2012 Taste of Hamptonroads Iron Chef competition.

This place is simply the very best! You have to start your meal with the crab soup. Just a cup, otherwise, it will be your dinner! It is soooooo good. Have their caesar salad - perfectly seasoned and tossed with home made croutons - YUM. For dinner, I had to pollo portofino. Their twist on marsala, but what they do with it...devine! The sauce is as it should be, not some thick, congealed gravy. Ask for James or Diane, and you will feel like family. James knows your wine preferences and chats you up like an old friend. Diane, makes excellent suggestions about the menu and keeps you smiling! No rushing you along. Italian as it should be. Family sharing great meals and enjoying the evening!

Overall experience was good. We were seated right in front of a large party so the noise level was a bit loud till they finished and left. We ordered the Focaccia for an appetizer and it was delicious but we both were wanting something to dip it in. I thought maybe olive & spices and my husband thought spaghetti sauce. I saved a few pieces to eat with my dish. There was no other bread served. The Chicken and Sausage Florentine was amazing. The sauce that is on that is so delicious. My husband had the Veal Parmesan. He forgot to ask what pasta came with it. It was a fettuccine and he is a thin noodle person but he said the sauce was good and he ate more of the pasta than I normally see him eat. His only complaint was that the veal overlapped so he was missing the cheese on those parts. All in all, it was a great meal and I look forward to going again.

Perfect Sunday Date Night! The booth seating as requested had a reserved sign and the host greeted us upon arrival with a big smile; a delightful start to our Italian dining experience. No disappointments with wine selections or our beautiful plated entrees. Service was outstanding!

What an experience !!! We returned after first visiting over 25 years ago and we were not disappointed. We all enjoyed the six-course chef’s menu. Each course was better than the last. We savored the meal and ate in a nice leisurely way. Service was top-notch … attentive and friendly. We hope that we don’t have to wait another 25 years to return.
