You won't find a neighborhood restaurant anywhere close to Greenville doing what chef Shawn Kelly set out to do: provide both neighbors and visitors alike the Upstate's freshest and most plentiful meats, produce, and products, both as a dine-in and carryout option.

This concept supports the idea that farmers and chefs can make a living supplying a community with its daily necessities, while also encouraging enjoyment of a simple meal of a sandwich or steak, chop, or bake.

Spaghetti Westurn was founded in 2021 in the city of Greenville, S.C.. The concept is the brainchild of Chef and Owner Jason Saunders, formerly of Jianna in Greenville and Wicked Weed Brewing and Table in Asheville, to name a few of the spots where he made his mark. Chef Saunders decided to open his own concept in 2020.

Spaghetti Westurn was conceived of as an eatery and oasis that prizes the beauty of quality, culinary simplicity and generous depths of service in an environment that is comfortable and welcoming for guests and employees alike. We pride ourselves on providing a great place for people to eat and a great place for people to work.

The best pasta that I have had in the United States, some in Italy is better, but not worth a $3500 ticket to get it in Italy. The service is wonderful, and the chef owner is engaging and a great chef to boot. Highly recommend this treasure, a little off the beaten path, but wonderful!!!!

Food selection is pretty standard _ but there are a lot of choices. Preparation was good to excellent. Service was average, I ordered a cocktail with specific instructions, it was not brought out that way. I asked to have it corrected, and was told " that was how they make it, and next time if I order it I should order it xxx *. Which was exactly how I HAD ordered it. It was corrected, but still.... annoying. We were seated by the window which was nice.

Almost 50 years ago, the Lieu family migrated from Asia to the United States. Since then, they have owned and operated full-service restaurants in cities across the country, including Seattle, Atlanta, Athens, and Greenville.

So, where do the great flavors and tried-and-true recipes come from? The patriarch of the Lieu family handed down his amazing recipes to his eldest sons, David and Peter. Just as good brothers do, they worked together with their father to ensure success for their restaurants. Lieu Family owned and operated “Lieu’s Chinese Bistro” for twelve years on Woodruff Road, came to an end in 2014 when the family sold the business to a Korean family who has now sold the restaurant to another family. We still license the use of the name to the Woodruff Road operators, but you can only get the true Lieu’s Chinese experience and recipes at our latest concept “Lieu’s Asian Bistro” on Beacon Drive off Pelham Road which is a partnership with our friend David McCraw.

Service was great although at the time it wasn’t busy at all. They have a good selection of basic to gourmet pizza. The pizza crust was good with the right amount of crisp to soft. The food was quick to arrive and delicious.
