Jack Stack Barbecue originated in Kansas City in 1957, by Russ Fiorella in a traditional storefront barbecue, with a modest selection of 5 or 6 items. Jack Fiorella, the eldest son, worked with his father until 1974 when he decided to branch off and start Fiorella's Jack Stack of Martin City.

To stand out in the competitive KC barbecue scene of the mid 1970's, Jack and Delores, began cooking with Gourmet Hickory Wood and created the most extensive barbecue menu in the country. The menu included Certified Angus Beef steaks, tender chicken, award-winning lamb ribs, and mouth-watering sides like Hickory Pit Beans and Cheesy Corn Bake.

Wonderful meal!! Hostess Camille went above and beyond to accomodate our large party during a busy evening and we all had a great time. The lamb ribs, brisket, and cheesy potatoes I had were fantastic!!! Thanks again!

Owner is very “hands on” checked on our table multiple times, food is always great, love the chill atmosphere, and love that they take reservations! We travel from a different county for special occasions and love how well tended to we are each and every time! Thanks Marty for taking such good care of us!

Our family dinner was fabulous Dave the manager came over a few times to make sure our drink & food prefers were correct & suggested my grandson play 1 game of bowling. It was a huge hit with everyone. Our drinks, kids meal, pasta & desserts were prepared exactly to our liking & served on time. The atmosphere is so welcoming friendly, just like we like! Thank you for helping us make another happy memory dining out.

We tried the quinoa bowl with chicken and the Korean bowl with steak for dinner - both were bursting with flavor. The Korean bowl was our favorite! Portions were just right. We suggest the non-alcoholic jalapeño margarita—it’s a must-try.

We asked for a private room and they didn't give it to us despite having them available. Food was good, a little expensive but not bad for portions. Waiter was very accommodating and attentive. Table location and set up was biggest issue given they weren't busy but we did enjoy ourselves and will be back.

The food and the staff were exceptional! We brought our two, young kids (ages 3 and 5) and the staff was amazing at making the experience wonderful for them, too. We will definitely be back!
