A colleague at work recommended dining at Woodfire before a concert my wife and I were seeing at the Kansas Star casino. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much. I've eaten at several of the top restaurants around the world. At home, I cook wagyu steaks in the sous vide before smoking them for 45 minutes finally finishing them in a cast iron skillet. I was very pleasantly surprised. My steak was cooked perfectly. It was tender and had excellent flavor. Our server was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was very nice. Needless to say, my wife and I will be back.

Longtime restaurateur, Bryce Kuhn, brings over 14 years of experience to Twelve Restaurant & Bar. Bryce's experience includes 8 years of management with Houston's in Kansas City, Denver, and Los Angeles. Bryce returned to his hometown of Wichita, KS to open and manage the Bonefish Grill. He later opened and served as General Manager of the Newport Grill. Most recently, he was General Manager of the Lakeside Club. Opening Twelve fulfills Bryce's dream to open and operate a neighborhood restaurant serving his hometown friends and families.

The Twelve menu includes several of Bryce's personal favorite dishes including smoked salmon, sweet corn risotto, spinach-artichoke dip, hand-cut steaks, ribs, and fresh seafood.

We go for the Sunday brunch at least two Sundays a month. The staff is always friendly the food is always good. Try the French toast with the blueberry mascarpone. It won't disappoint.

We had lunch at Newport Grill to celebrate a birthday. Heather was our waitress, and she was excellent! Several different items were ordered such as sandwiches, salad with coconut chicken, and salmon from the fresh catch. All items were excellent. If you have not tried the peanut butter bomb, you’re missing out.
