The Veranda is a lovely, old-school restaurant filled with historic charm. The food was as to be expected, classic and good, though quite pricey. Our waitress seemed distracted, even though it was not terribly busy. We were disappointed after she finished taking our order and asked, "only one appetizer?" As if we either needed prompting for another selection or simply did not realize what we requested. The other disappointment was that there was no candle in our dessert, though we specifically mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday. At least two other tables had candles for birthday celebrations. It's a minor thing, of course, but it was still disappointing.

Great Wine, Food and Service all wrapped up in a beautifully designed space. This is a staple for us, can sit at the bar, dine in the bar area, for 2 ppl up to as many as you like. Menu offers everything from a great steak, delicious seafood or amazing salads and handheld sandwiches. Save room for dessert- the smore dessert is the best!!
