We went there to celebrate a birthday and we had an amazing evening! The food and drinks were delicious (I particularly recommend the pork and dip) and the ambiance was cozy and romantic. We were served by Camille, who was absolutely delightful and we enjoyed all her recommendations.

Located off the beaten path in the heart of Outremont, Alma is an intimate 24-seat restaurant showcasing modern Mexican cuisine with authentic techniques and flavours combined with local Quebec ingredients. It is operated by the couple, Chef Juan Lopez Luna et sommelier and wine importer Lindsay Brennan. Alma offers a tasting menu experience (5 or 9 courses) inspired by the concept of "mar y montana", largely influenced by Chef Juan's childhood memories of central Mexico as well as the couple's time spent on the coastal region of Oaxaca. Lopez is one of the few chefs in Canada working with heritage corn from Mexico, making fresh masa in-house each morning and tortillas by hand with his grandmother's traditional tortilla press.

The wine list specializes in sunshine-filled Catalan wines from a unique group of winemaker-friends from the Barcelona region. Alma is the Canadian destination for Catalan wines, with a deep cellar of back vintages and rare cuvées.

It was an amazing experience from start to finish! The restaurant is simple but the menu is full of flavors that transport you to Mexico in a subtle way. The portions are perfect unlike other tasting menus that leave you feeling too full. We also love the wine pairing and the staff was knowledgeable and welcoming!

Fun, dog-friendly terrasse in the heart of Old Montreal. A solid place with nice staff. Food was good and nicely plated. The cocktails took a long time and were VERY pricey ($18), esp. given tiny pour. Opt for beer @ $12/pint. Book online if you prefer indoors!

A family owned business since 1971, Restaurant Di Menna was a
simple pizzeria offering delivery service and takeout. The popularity of
the pizza place was undeniable, and founder Franco Di Menna
decided to expand his business next door: the pizzeria now had a
dining room. Evolving in the tasteful world of Italian cuisine, Franco Di
Menna kept trying new recipes and creating delicious meals. In 1988,
the restaurant went under major renovations to match its high quality
menu. Already mixing fine dining and takeout, Restaurant Di Menna
introduced frozen ‘oven ready’ meals and fresh sauces in 2005. Fast forward
to 2016, the dining room was completely renovated and a sit-down
bar serving specialty cocktails and Italian beers was added.
