Some of the fish quality was subpar specifically the scallops and Serrano slices of the tuna. For the price I believed the quality on the premium fish cuts should be better. Ambience and service was exceptional. Ali the tataki dish was disappointing for the price and so little fish.

What an incredible plant based dinner! Our server and the bartender offered impeccable service and the food and drinks were outstanding! We shared the Solmon Tartare, LOV Calamari, Truffle Mushroom Risotto, Fettuccine Carbonara Style, and the Comforting Brownie. All were superb and we will definitely return!

La Cantina is also serving a range of innovative cocktails. There are awesome margarita and mezcal cocktails of course.

We are located in downtown Montreal, beside undergrown malls (cour mont-royal et centre eaton), in between Concordia and McGill universities, 2 blocks from the bell center (go habs!)

Very good drinks especially the margaritas. For the food everything seemed freshly made, all ingredients were bright and fresh unfortunately every plate we ordered were a bit bland. Just a bit more salt, lime, cumin, etc.. is missing to be very good. We really liked the temporary cactus tacos. Service was friendly and efficient. The place is small, cozy and totally casual. A fun place to have a quick dinner before going out to a concert, festival, etc.. We shall return for sure and hopefully have room on the outside terrasse ;-)
