Highs were the food which was outstanding and fairly priced for a local bar and the cocktails were great too, strong and potent if a little sweet. We wish this new place the best of luck in the local area.

About the restaurant

Chef Roger Shakes previously head chef at ‘Mango Room’ in Camden Town where he cooked for stars, heavyweights and luminaries from around the globe.

Originally from Westmoreland, Jamaica, Roger came to London in 1999 where his first employment in a restaurant was washing plates. Learning from the chefs around him and combining this with the culinary skills passed down from his grandparents, he soon realised his talent for food and the joy of feeding others. Rising to become head chef at ‘Mango Rooms’ he has spent decades perfecting Jamaican classics such as Curry Goat and Jerk Chicken which now sit alongside new favourites such as his special Pork Ribs and vibrant Vegan Curry.

Over the years he has enchanted a loyal following with his easy-going charm and authentic Jamaican flavours. Striking out on his own with ‘Roger’s Kitchen’ he hopes to bring Caribbean food to a new audience with passion and panache.

As usual the food and service was everything I have come to expect from this excellent restaurant. My starter of pork ribs was beautifully prepared succulent tender and full of flavour and my main course of The Roger's Kitchen Signature curry goat a favourite of mine was as I was anticipating fantastic. To finish off I enjoyed the Caribbean fruit cake with rum and raisin ice cream. At the end of our meal, as we were belatedly celebrating birthdays we were offered a complimentary glass which was a lovely touch to a great experience. Roger's Kitchen is precisely where Caribbean cuisine needs to be in the 21st century as a person from this very culture it makes me extremely happy to make this statement once again. Keep up the stellar work.

We had an amazing time at Patron. Food was so delicious and service was excellent. Anthe was very attendant and took good care of us while Bobby at the bar was very friendly and accommodating while he made some fab cocktails for us before dinner. Would def come back!

Carlos@b&v brings the finer side of dining and service to this unique little part of North London, on the Green in Winchmore Hill, a stone's throw from the mainline station of the same name and a short drive from Southgate on the end of the Piccadiily Line. Carlos himself is a restauranteur with flair, having built a reputation in the area over 30 years and so his experience with executing a dynamic and slick establishment brings much to be excited about. Guests will get that familiar 'welcome back' feeling even if they happen to be newcomers. The interiors are comfortably chic but inviting, with a warm ambience and the atmosphere is busy and vibrant. Live music and niche little magic entertainers are a regular occurrence. With an open alfresco feel in the summer, looking out on to the Green itself and a pavement terrace in warmer months too.
The menu is Modern European with a specials menu that changes regularly and plenty of choice on the drinks and cocktail menu.

Kairo the server had obviously been well trained and he was attentive, efficient and friendly. The menu has been changed lately for the better and both our meals were tasty, well cooked and presented. We stay in this hotel quite often and dine in the G.A. This was the best meal that we have had there.

The brasserie, originally designed by the acclaimed Martin Brudnizki, showcases elegant 1920s Art Deco interiors that include rich wood panelling, brass fixtures and a vintage station clock. The menu is inspired by the warmth and elegance of the grand railway station restaurants of Paris, such as Le Train Bleu at Gare de Lyon and Café de la Paix at Gare Saint-Lazare. What a wonderful restaurant everything was perfect. Was another restaurant ticked off my daughter's list and for her Birthday too. All the staff were great and very informative and advised us on our choice of food. The food and drinks were out of this world, great flavours and expertly cooked. Certainly will visit again.
