Way back in 1975, the Sail Loft lit the fire for Steve Silverstein, who went on to open nearly 40 restaurants. Located in the quintessential seaside village of Padanaram, it was the neighborhood place where you could get a good (strong) drink, chef prepared comfort food and relax in a convivial atmosphere with familiar faces. The Sail Loft was everyone’s favorite place; it was a hangout where some came for food and others for drink.

When the Sail Loft became available in 2021, Steve jumped on the opportunity to take the wheel. Steve and his wife Judy transformed the Sail Loft into an elevated neighborhood restaurant with a distinct updated boatyard feel. The spot is nautical with a chef-driven yet approachable menu, a deep selection of spirts and an intriguing wine list. As with all of Silverstein’s places, while the food, drink and design are always top-notch, it is the warm hospitality that keeps ‘em coming back.

Went for Taco Tuesday and was not disappointed! Able to choose one of each and it was delicious! Black raspberry Margarita was also delicious had to order a 2nd one!! Until the next Taco Tuesday!!

Excellent drinks and food. Plenty of gluten free options & staff was knowledgeable about them. Dark & romantic, great for a date night! Very friendly server! So glad they expanded and take reservations now.

This is one of my favorite spots! Foxboro is the halfway point between me and my best friend so we meet up at Union straw a few times per year. The food is always fantastic! We had the ( fancy name that I can’t remember ) corn nachos which were out of this world! Just needed a little extra hot sauce! 😋 We also shared a smokehouse flatbread and watermelon salad, both of which were good. Service was great, as always!! Another fantastic dinner at Union straw!
