Always enjoy eating there. Excellent spaghetti and meatballs. The arrabiata sauce is very very spicy but I mix it with marinara sauce. They now have a wonderful dinner salad . The staff is very accommodating and anxious to please.,

Many of the clientele are on the first name basis with host Franco Catullo who supplies ample amount of Italian charm to go along with delicate antipasti, splendid pastas, fresh fish, hefty veal chops and fabulous desserts flown in from Italy. Pastina strikes a perfect balance between favorite dishes of the moment and trusty standbys with waiters that have the Italian enthusiasm for seeing diners happy.

Capo is hard to explain - it is housed in a totally non-descript building in Santa Monica, but once you walk past the velvet curtains, you enter a temple of cool. European vibe, with open hearth and eclectic art work. Then there’s the music - I don’t know another restaurant that can make Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin mix well with The Bee Gees and George Michael. Their wine list is exemplary. It is very expensive but totally worth it. Capo is our “go to” spot for special occasions when in LA.

Great service and presence. Feels like a family operated restaurant. Welcoming with no pressure to order and move along. Ambience is cozy and romantic. Great bar with sensitive lighting and appointments. Real candles! Many types of table/seating arrangements for street facing people watching, to cozy booth for eye gazing. Food is great and surprisingly reasonably priced. We were a party of 4 sitting outside enjoying the night and interesting people on Abbot Kinney on a Saturday night. Had a marvelous time that felt personalized for us. We’re going back very soon.
