Javier's presents a rich heritage of elevated Mexican cuisine in a friendly and captivating ambiance. Enjoy hand-shaken margaritas, rare tequilas, craft cocktails and a vast selection of beer and fine wines. Dine with us in the main dining room, in one of our private dining rooms, or at the exquisite bar with one of the largest selections of the world's finest tequilas on west coast.

All guests must be present to be seated. The minimum per person is $20, , no split checks or personal checks. Javier's does not accept contactless payment. Parties of 6 or more a 20% gratuity will be included on the bill. In order to accommodate all guests Javier's dining experience is limited to 2 hours.

As a safety precaution Javier's does not allow strollers. Multiple reservations will be treated as separate reservations and will not be accommodated together.

We do not allow pets in our establishments.

Miss the high tops that used to be outside. Tables inside are crowded especially when a table was set up for a table of 16 young men right in front of our lovely booth. Made it difficult for servers to move around the restaurant. Wish we had been able to sit in the area near the atrium.

Service was very friendly. The staff was not super personable or animated, which is fine if you are more so just looking to be in deep conversation with your company. The food was well-made nothing over the top. We also ordered a pitcher of Margarita, which seemed kind of weak nevertheless it was tasty, but it didn’t feel like you were saving a whole lot of money instead of buying single cocktails.

Blue Plate Taco is a coastal Baja-meets-Santa Monica destination on Ocean Ave. We are dedicates to creating all our food from scratch including the agua frescas and margaritas from the bar, the tortillas are made by hand fresh all day, and our salsas are made daily. The entire menu is fresh, light and delicious.

We hold most of our tables for walk-ins so if you don't see any reservations, don't fret! We'll get you seated after a short wait while you're admiring the Pacific and taking in the famous Santa Monica pier.

Reservations are limited to 90 minutes, we hold reservations for 15 minutes.

Exceptionally high quality experience! The staff is very professional and knowledgeable about the drinks and food preparations. They allowed us to move our reservation inside when the air got chilly. The service was on point and friendly. The food was AMAZING! The restaurant is donating this month a portion of their proceeds to a very important organization, the LA LGBT Center. I cannot think of anything they could do better—as a Chicago foodie, that evaluation should have some weight.

SOL Mexican Cocina in Playa Vista is a lively, Baja-inspired Mexican spot with solid tacos, great cocktails, and a fun, upscale-casual vibe. The outdoor patio with fire pits and live music on some nights makes it perfect for groups or date nights. Prices are on the higher side, but most say it’s worth it for the quality and atmosphere. Just know it’s more “Westside trendy” than hole-in-the-wall authentic. Live music is a nice touch.
