Kizaki is Chef Toshi Kizaki’s long-awaited solo omakase restaurant, representing the pinnacle of his celebrated career and decades of influence in Denver’s culinary scene. After more than 40 years of success with Sushi Den, Chef Toshi returns to his roots with deep reverence for Edomae-style sushi—a 200-year-old Tokyo tradition that highlights the true character of each ingredient through precise Japanese techniques. Kizaki brings Denver its first authentic Edomae omakase, offering around 20 courses featuring raw, cured, seared, cooked, and dry-aged preparations. Guests can enjoy a full bar along with carefully selected sake, wine, or combined pairings to complement the experience. Omakase at the counter or table is $225 before tax. Drinks, additional sushi, and gratuity are not included. Reservation times are at 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Once all guests have arrived, we will transition to Kizaki, where the Omakase experience begins approximately 15 to 20 minutes after the scheduled time.

We have enjoyed Sushi Den since its opening in 1984, and Kizaki is simply another Den of genius! There is no better quality and exquisite Omakase preparation as this, truly. And the ambience and friendly, informed service were a match ti the rest of this amazing dining experience. Thank you, Toshi and all Omakase staff! We will, of course, return soon.

The award-winning Uchi, which translated from Japanese means “home,” was first opened in Austin, Texas by James Beard Award winner Chef Tyson Cole. Since then, Cole’s signature non-traditional take on Japanese cuisine has been warmly received by visitors from across the country and around the globe. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. Patio seating is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

The food was excellent, but we specifically asked for two dishes to come out at the same time and our waiter blamed kitchen backup for why they didn’t (he just forgot). Drinks took forever too. He was just okay and frankly if I didn’t feel obligated to tip 20%, he definitely hadn’t earned it. He did the bare minimum, and I just hope for more when at a restaurant like Uchi and spending $500 on a meal.

Absolutely loved our experience at Hana Matsuri! The food was amazing — the freshness of the fish really stood out, and the udon was delicious and comforting. The service was also excellent — friendly, attentive, and fast. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality sushi and a great dining experience in Cherry Creek Area!

We love happy hour at the bar. The bar manager goes above and beyond to ensure a top shelf experience whether food, drink, values available and overall comfort. And his drinks are so fine.

Went for a birthday. Our server was incredible: answered our questions, recommended us a sake to try, and gifted a slice of cheesecake for my birthday. Died during Sunday happy hour which was fairly quiet and not very busy. Overall a great experience
