This is our go-to place for amazing food in St. Louis. Had the Halibut Special - and it was wonderful! Others had the steaks, and the Egg Raviolo never disappoints with such creative sauces. This is one of those restaurants where you TRUST THE CHEF and TRUST THE WAITER to make your experience amazing! 5 Stars all the way! Thank you Acero!

About the restaurant
Café Napoli is a family owned restaurant, established in 1989 by Tony and Kathy Pietoso. Quickly becoming a success, they moved the small basement restaurant to a larger location at the corner of Forsyth and Bemiston in the heart of Clayton. In 2003, sons Ande and Kye expanded their family restaurant by adding Bar Napoli, a swank cocktail lounge. A few years later, Napoli Reserve was added onto Bar Napoli allowing for private event space and an additional bar and lounge for the weekends. After years of a flourishing business, Kathy and Tony decided to take their ventures West to Town and Country where they opened their second location, Napoli2, managed by Ande. Kye has taken the reigns from his father and is now the front man for the 8,000 square foot establishment in Clayton. Café Napoli and Bar Napoli have recently undergone a face lift inside and out. Inside the kitchen, Executive Chef from Napoli2 Jon Berger was recently added to the team, bringing fresh ideas and innovation to the regional Italian specialties.

Austin G was our waiter and he made my wife and I feel so special from our first interaction. We were here celebrating our first anniversary and the whole experience was first class. We were seated at a table with a rose, little bit of heart confetti, and a card signed by the entire staff thanking us for spending our anniversary with them. Austin G was amazing, and we will be requesting him any time we come back!

Steaks are excellent, cooked to perfection, great flavor and they melt in your mouth. Tried the salad this time as we usually get the crab cakes and we were not disappointed with the salad. Nice ambiance and atmosphere. Will definitely return!!

Clayton
About the restaurant
Renown Italian restaurateur Mario Laccarino is pleased to invite guests for a taste of the Sorrento Coast at Casa Don Alfonso. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch, the menu tells the story of traditions passed down for generations in the family homes of southern Italy. These recipes come from a magical place, ripe with the culture and beauty of the Mediterranean. Alongside an unmistakable commitment to hospitality and service, Casa Don Alfonso brings hand-crafted flavors and carefully chosen ingredients with every bite.

Family of Iaccarino honors the culinary heritage of the Campania region, with seasonal ingredients that closely resemble the sun-kissed produce harvested at the Iaccarino family’s farm. Fresh, handmade pastas create an edible narrative of the Iaccarino legacy, while whimsical desserts transport guests to Naples’ nostalgic bakeries.

From Sorrento to St. Louis, we look forward to welcoming you soon.

Our family chose Casa Don Alfonso to celebrate an early Fathers Day this year. The staff overall was very friendly and provided good service. There were many delicious menu options available. Food and beverages were delivered in an efficient manner. Our server Juan Pablo was wonderful and made our experience even better! We ordered appetizers, entrees and dessert. My favorites were the Beef Carpaccio, Quattro Formaggi Pizza, Potato Gnocchi and Beef Ravioli were my favorite. I do wish the Beef Ravioli had been a little larger serving. The Apple Pizza was a very tasty dessert. The "Italian Smoked Old Fashioned" - Affumicato Vecchio Stile was a very nice cocktail. You can't eat dinner at an Italian Restaurant and not have an Affogato! The Hazelnut Affogato was a perfect end. I did not order all of those things for myself! With our group of 5 it was perfect to share tastes of entres. We live approximately 40 minutes away from this location, but felt it was worth the drive and would return.
