Excellent food, wonderful location. Two of us had the pistachio crusted salmon which was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The Il Pollo (chicken) was excellent - tender and delicious. The Agnolotti al Mais (corn filled pasta) was great - sauce was delicious. We ate outside so the noise level was not an issue. It was very comfortable on a day where the high in Davis was 99. We started at 7:00.

Mattone is a hidden gem on Folsom near Corti Brothers market, cooking the best Italian-inspired cuisine in Sacramento and serving it flawlessly. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable about food and wine pairings, helpful with menu suggestions, and never overbearing. The dining room is comfortable and casual, the bar is lively and the drinks are top notch. We have been here several times, lunch and dinner, as well as special occasions. It has always been a satisfying and pleasant experience, without exception.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Fabian’s last night! They have a fabulous special Sunday meal including Caesar salad, choice between two different pastas and a special chef’s dessert. We especially loved the Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese and the Pot De Creme dessert…butterscotch pudding, caramel, crème fraiche, and sea salt! Look forward to going back soon! PS….Excellent service too!

Great dinner last night. Sat at a high top near the bar. Table was served by the bar tender, who was very attentive and made good recommendations for drink/wine pairings. I had the shish kabob and my husband had lamb chops. Both very tasty. Was a very enjoyable evening.
