With modernist architectural design, fire pits and classic cocktails from an indoor/outdoor bar, Shangri-la is a full-service restaurant and private events venue that feels like a Palm Springs resort. We have two beautiful indoor dining rooms as well as a 6,500 sq. foot patio featuring bocce ball (adults only) and corn hole (all ages) and full-service seating inside and outside. (Voted Best patio and Best restaurant by Sac Magazine). Well behaved pups are also welcome on our patio when weather permits.

In a word, delightful. We had Maydoon on our list for quite some time now, and took advantage of being in Midtown for the Chalk It Up festival at Fremont Park to finally make a visit. We loved it. Even though it was Labor Day Weekend and quite busy, service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant itself is lovely. We started with the appetizer combo plate and every morsel was scrumptious. Best hummus ever! I had Fesson Joon, something new for me, but very good. My son had the chicken shish kabob which was also very good. Servings are generous, but we weren't going to leave without trying their Persian ice cream and baklava, which thankfully came in a combo but still very generous servings. Next time we'll try one of their beef dishes. We highly recommend.

It was frustrating that we made a reservation then when we arrived we were told it would be a “10 to 15, maybe 20 minute wait” and it was nearly 15 minutes. Also the bathroom was a mess.

Went for dinner for my birthday recently. We were seated right away and in a good spot. They still had burnt ends available, so those were a must! My wife loved the Wagyu burger she ordered. Overall, it was a great dinner!! we have been there before and will certainly go back.

My husband had the spaghetti with meat sauce, which he described as "okay." I had two sides because the entrees were just too pricey for one person. I understand they are a family style restaurant but as they try to climb out of bankruptcy, maybe they could consider "regular" menu items either in addition to or instead of family style. So, I had 3 mild Italian sausages and Brussels sprouts both were okay but really nothing to rave about. The bill for the two of us came to $120 with tip. Granted, we both have enough leftovers for dinner tonight but I'll have to add some rice to make mine more balanced. Sadly, the restaurant was nearly empty and it was 6 PM on a Friday night. My husband and I joked about doing our part to keep the restaurant open, but last night might have been our last time trying to make family style dining work for a retired, senior couple. Maybe when our children come to visit ...

Had a great experience at Pampas Brazilian Steakhouse. Was able to make a last minute reservation for 11. Service was amazing. Every single person working was attentive, helpful and super pleasant. The food was plentiful and very tasty. I didn't even ask about any specials for the evening but when it came time to pay, they included specials and discounts on my final bill, can't beat that
