Macesz Bistro is an Eastern European bistro in the Old Jewish district of Budapest. It offers the hidden and well known treasures of the Hungarian and Jewish cuisines, with traditional and reimagined courses for their guests. The continuously updated menu is ensured by chef Ákos Tasnádi, beyond the á la carte assortment the daily offer’s seasonal specialties diversify the selection.

We take great care of assembling the wine list, offering from the best domestic wineries with some specialities.

We reopened Macesz after the pandemic in the spring of 2022. We can not wait to meet again our haunters and new guests as well.

The restaurant is suitable for exclusive events with up to 60 people as well.

Macesz Bistro is one of the most exciting culinary spots in downtown Budapest, an excellent choice for a romantic dinner, a family lunch or a business meeting.

ARAZ Restaurant, nestled in Budapest's vibrant 7th district near the Great Synagogue and Szimpla Kert, is a trendy spot for Hungarian specialities. A delicate, elaborately designed interior space, the exciting menu, which tastefully combines the atmosphere of the turn of the century and the modern global cuisine of today, and a quiet and shady terrace located in District VII (the corner of Dohány and Nyár Streets) welcome the guests in the Restaurant ARAZ. Since the restaurant's opening in 2010, the team has been strengthened by Áron Barka, Chef de Cuisine, who has been awarded the bronze medal by the international gastronomic order Chaine de Rotisseurs.
In addition parking is free during the meal in our Nyár utca underground garage.
