We’re famous for our fajitas and margaritas. Our margaritas are made with freshly squeezed lime juice, and our food is made fresh, from scratch everyday. For added flavor, all of our meats are prepared over a mesquite grill. We’re open daily at 11 am and 9am for brunch Saturdays and Sundays. Lo encontramos por casualidad en Open Table, es un lugar muy bonito, en centro comercial pequeño, pero la comida y el servicio excepcionales, los mariscos muy frescos, la variedad muy buena y lo mejor el sabor, fue una comida no planeada pero en verdad que fue de lo mejor, lo recomiendo mucho.

At first glance, you might think the name of Rouj Creole is misspelled. Besides “rouj” instead of “roux,” a quick scan of the new restaurant’s menu shows the word “gonbo” where you’d expect to find “gumbo.”

But owner Stephen Hightower isn’t a bad speller. He’s just bringing Baton Rouge a taste of Creole cuisine—complete with the authentic Haitian Creole spelling of traditional dishes.
