Bastible is located just a short stroll from the landmark St Patricks Cathedral in the vibrant postcode of Dublin 8.
The restaurant overlooks the junction of Clanbrassil Street and South Circular Road in what was once the old Jewish quarter of Portobello.

Chef Killian Walsh leads the kitchen team and creates seasonal tasting menus using his varied and considerable industry experience. Bastible was awarded a coveted Michelin Star in 2022 and proudly retains it today.

Bastible's atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive. There is no required dress code and we pride ourselves on friendly and knowledgable service.

Wonderful dinner overall. Delicious food and interesting combinations of ingredients. Only slight grumble was a twenty minute wait for first drink as we'd chosen wine pairing. Sommelier very good an and made some complicated pairings easy to understand Explanation of dishes also very good.

Excellent restaurant right in the heart of Temple Bar area! Food was delicious - inventive French dishes made with Irish ingredients. Service was attentive and open kitchen was fun to watch. Highly recommend for a special upscale meal in Dublin.

What a fantastic experience! We started our evening with cocktails in the bar area…delicious! Then onto our fantastic dinner - Caesar salad & scallops to start and then salmon and seafood risotto. Every dish better than the one before. The service was excellent, including the hostess, the waiter and the wonderful sommelier. A fantastic end to our visit to Dublin! Highly recommend!!

Lovely place to eat. We both had pork belly to start which was delicious and wonderful flavours to accompany it. For mains we tried the steak and the hake. Both dishes tasted great. Desserts were fab. Portion sizes varied from dish to dish, although we were both satisfied at the end of the meal. Service was excellent, all staff members very attentive polite and welcoming. Definitely worth a try for a special occasion.

Great food and service, cosy setting and brilliant atmosphere - especially appreciate the attention to detail from my initial booking to recall we were out for a birthday celebration, and the candle they brought out with my boyfriend’s dessert. Thank you all, we will definitely be back!
