La Garrigue es un bistró francés situado en el 31 de la calle Jeffrey Street, cerca de la famosa Royal Mile de Edimburgo y a pocos minutos de la estación de Waverley. Este restaurante está inspirado en especialidades culinarias de la región de Languedoc de Francia y ofrece una cocina casera y rústica francesa con un toque moderno. Su propietario y chef, Jean Michel de Gauffre, conoce bien la región y ayuda a introducir lo mejor de la cocina francesa pastoral en un ambiente que evoca el sur de Francia. Bringing 1940s Paris to modern-day Edinburgh, Café St Honoré restaurant is a charming bistro serving up traditional French cuisine (with a few Scottish favourites thrown in) to a loyal clientele. Tucked away on a picturesque cobbled lane in the New Town, the cosy dining room at Café St Honore, with mirrored walls and black-and-white tiled floors, provides an atmospheric retreat. The team here are passionate about local, organic produce, so the menu changes daily. There are prix fixe menus on offer at lunch and dinner if you’re after a bargain, or just need an excuse to indulge in dessert. In the evening, a seasonal menu du jour is available alongside the full a la carte, which features dishes like roast pheasant with red cabbage and pancetta; Our warming Cafe St Honore Cassoulet; and vanilla crème brûlée. The wine list features some excellent French wines – a real treat for novices and connoisseurs alike.

With a wide range of local and sustainable suppliers at our doorstep, from our Lobsters and Crabs at Belhaven Lobsters in Dunbar to our vegetables and Native breed meats at Free Company Farm in Balerno we’re lucky to be taking advantage of Scotlands unique and unrivalled natural larder.

Cooking over coals helps add an extra layer of flavour to whatever we’re cooking on them, it’s more intuitive and engaging as cooks and we feel like that comes through on the plate.

Tasting menus are our bread and butter but we also offer a pre fixe three course.
