With access to panoramic views of Pendle Hill, and a range of seasonal menus, created and tailored by our Chef Patron, Doug Crampton, Eight at Gazegill is the epitome of a 'farm-to-fork' restaurant, being owned by and located directly on a working organic farm, Gazegill Organics, in the Ribble Valley.

Showcasing the best of the produce from the farm, which includes organic slow-reared pork and raw milk, and utilising the seasonal bounty that can be found in the surrounding hedgerows and countryside, Eight at Gazegill reconnects guests to nature through the food.

Our Brunch, All-Day and Sunday Lunch menus are suitable for all, while our Friday and Saturday evening Tasting Menu offers a more grown up experience. We also have specifically designed menus which are suitable to be eaten on our outside terrace area where the addition of a large purpose-built playground makes this the perfect location for families to enjoy the sunshine.

Met up with a friend for brunch, the mushrooms on toast are no ordinary mushrooms on toast, and the griddled sour dough with poached eggs and brown butter hollandaise is next level brunching! The staff are fantastic and it’s just a beautiful place to sit, enjoy the food take in the views and relax. Can highly recommend.

Using only freshly sourced Lancashire ingredients, including fresh seasonal vegetables, juicy steaks, fresh fish along with deliciously prepared vegetarian options, we have a menu to suit all tastes. Being right on the North Lancashire and South Cumbria border, the Longlands Inn is surrounded by farmers offering some great local specialties. Fell-bred and salt-marsh lamb, fabulous cheeses, freshly-caught fish, are then all expertly prepared and cooked by our brilliant resident chef Mark Swanton.

The hotel has recently gone through a complete refurbishment of the downstairs areas and we have created cosy drinking areas, a mixtures of high and low seating and a private dining area. The open pass from the kitchen allows guests to see our kitchen in operation and all this leads to creating a lively buzz and great atmosphere.

It was our first visit to the Royal.Friendly greeting on arrival. Great service, all the staff were friendlyand efficient. Drinks and food arrived very quickly. The dining room was lovely, plenty of space, tables are not crammed in. Ordered 2 Sunday lunches and a doggy dinner. The food was perfectly cooked and large portions. We didn't like the garlic mash, but that's a personal preference. Our dog was made very welcome too and enjoyed her Sunday lunch too. We cannot fault anything and will definitely be back.

Service , good . Welcoming Had an illumination package , sadly the company running the tram left without us , chased it in a normal tram , but gave up . Total waste of time, on this occasion Not hotels fault , but needs more information to be given to client.

We had a great time. The food was amazing - so tasty and fresh. The portions were generous and the range available was excellent. We really loved our meal! The service was great and we weren’t pestered or rushed. It was a birthday celebration and they were very happy for us to bring a cake. Thanks so much to Andy and the team for a great experience!
