Set in a gorgeous Grade II-listed Georgian villa, the decor is bright and modern but respects the building’s elegance and heritage.

The food, too, respects classical tradition, but is a contemporary take on British cuisine - combining influences from around the world in dishes based on fabulous impeccably sourced seasonal ingredients.

Enjoy an aperitif in one of the elegant lounges in the older part of the building before moving on to the sleek restaurant with its blonde wood beams, exposed stone walls and bi-fold doors opening onto the garden.

The knowledge and experience of Head Chef Luke Tipping shows through in the assured, confident nature of the cooking – and he has the skill to know when to hold back. Dishes are balanced and pure, with subtle modern touches and a pleasing clarity of flavour; be sure to try the signature tapenade bread rolls and delicious soufflés.

Service is enthusiastic and brims with personality.

From the start, the hospitality was exceptional - relaxed yet professional. The food was light, flavourful and beautifully presented. My mum’s dietary needs were handled with care, making the experience even more special. The ambience was perfect, and the team’s attentiveness made it a memorable birthday dinner for all of us.

This was our first visit and we really enjoyed it. The cuts of meat were excellent quality and beautifully cooked, and we really liked that it was a relaxed and unpretentious place to have a great steak. Staff were friendly and attentive but not over the top. All in all a great experience.
