We’re striving to push the boundaries with Indian flavours, but with cooking techniques from all over the world, some traditional, and some very modern. At Opheem, I’ll be using the same paints as I’ve always done, to create a very different picture, on a very, very different canvas. Why? Because to evolve and adapt is what makes us human, and cooking is what sets us apart from the animals.

Stunning. A bit weird we didn't get a drinks menu when at the Restaurant table but in terms of the food, absolutely first rate. The Aloo and the Sheeps Yoghurt were the best starter and dessert I've ever had. The Guinea Fowl was some of the very best meat cookery I've ever had. The whole experience was just magical and I'll never forget it. Pride of Birmingham. Thanks so much for a great Birthday Opheem 🌟🌟

Having opened in March 2018, and receiving excellent reviews, including the Guardian in our first month, we are proud to offer a unique experience. You can sit around our sushi bar, which sits 10 and watch our chefs creating the sushi right before your eyes! Or if you would like to enjoy with friends we have two tables that can seat up to 6 people.

My husband & I did the Omakase Experience on my birthday, and what an experience it was! Omakase means ‘trust the chef’ and what a pay off! Every single bite was out of this world, only to be matched by the next! The ambience was lovely and the staff we so helpful and friendly, The general menu also looks great & we’ll be back to try! We’ve already been spreading the word to friends! Can’t wait to return!

Wow, first time here and everything was amazing, the food delicious, staff attentive and ambiance and background music perfect. We later went into the conservatory for more drinks. We will definitely be back again. Highly recommend to all .

Set in a gorgeous Grade II-listed Georgian villa, the decor is bright and modern but respects the building’s elegance and heritage.

The food, too, respects classical tradition, but is a contemporary take on British cuisine - combining influences from around the world in dishes based on fabulous impeccably sourced seasonal ingredients.

Enjoy an aperitif in one of the elegant lounges in the older part of the building before moving on to the sleek restaurant with its blonde wood beams, exposed stone walls and bi-fold doors opening onto the garden.

The knowledge and experience of Head Chef Luke Tipping shows through in the assured, confident nature of the cooking – and he has the skill to know when to hold back.
