During July and August we only take telephone reservations, please call to check availability.
We are happy to welcome dogs into our bar area. Please note, we only serve food in the bar from 12-3 (excluding Sundays when we exclusively serve food in our restaurant). The restaurant does not allow dogs except for service dogs. Please make us aware of any dogs you have with you upon booking. On Sundays we exclusively serve our Sunday Roast Menu.
The Tartar Frigate is one of the only 18th century flint restaurants in Kent. Widely renowned as one of the best seafood restaurants in Kent, the harbour restaurant boasts stunning panoramic views over Viking Bay. You can take advantage of the extensive menu, which also includes mouth-watering traditional dishes from around the world.
Entertainment: Live Music Wed, Fri and Sundays in the Bar.
Please note - We have no baby changing facilities and no disabled toilets and no disabled access to the top floor Restaurant due to the age of building.

The Captain Digby, a family friendly restaurant and bar which caters for all ages & occasions, with sea views overlooking Kingsgate Bay. We serve generously portioned fresh, home cooked food from our bar, restaurant & children's menu. Food is served from 12 noon each day, all day until late check our operating hours before arrival.
Choose from our family dining area, close to our indoor play area or our cliff top restaurant with sea views.
Alfresco dining is available with 40 benches overlooking the bay but these are non-reservable and work on a first come first served basis. Please note we can not guarantee window tables. We do not allow dogs inside our venue but they are welcome in our outside dining areas. Being so close to the shoreline we tend to have issues regarding internet connections and advise all customers also bring cash as an alternative payment.

Had a brilliant meal last Sunday. As I'm a oap I couldn't manage normal size of Sunday roast, so was very pleased that I could have a smaller plate! Staff very helpful and attentive, will definitely come again.

Clean friendly restaurant with lovely sea views. The staff are professional and attentive. The menu is varied and caters for dietary needs. I would advise to book to avoid disappointment as it can get very busy. The cheesecake is the best I’ve eaten and every meal has been well prepared and cooked. Amazing restaurant!

Absolutely superb food in a beautiful setting overlooking the harbour. A good wine list and very helpful staff. Service was a little slow which was fine as we were not in a hurry but could be a problem for others. Will definitely be returning.

Named after probably Broadstairs's most famous previous resident, The Charles Dickens pub and dining rooms in Broadstairs had a complete refurbishment and re opened in the summer of 2012.
This is one of the largest pubs in Broadstairs, with the main bar downstairs and the dining room and bars upstairs commanding excellent views of Viking Bay.
