It is a fantastic place and a must when in Hamburg. You just have to get used to the big portions and that one of the waitresses is grumpy (must be part of the image) If you are afraid of oily food then avoid the schnitzel as the chef loves to make them like French fries and not the good old traditional way with lots of butter. .

We had a wonderful view of the Elbe with all the excitement of watching the many and varied boats and ships going by against the backdrop of the working port - fascinating. The food was excellent. They did a very good version of the local speciality of Labskaus and my plaice with little Busum shrimps and parsley potatoes was beautifully cooked and presented. The service was friendly and efficient. All in all a great evening.

Nice mittagessen menu. Before 18:00 theres a smaller menu, but very nice, fullfilling dishes. My pork chop was nice, and nicer the salad. I love the bread and the orange spread they offer. Nice spritz and very comfortable setting.

Absolutely beautiful food. Felt like a really quality indulgent meal but also good value for what we had. We are from England and wanted a more German menu, my husband had the schnitzel and I had the cheeseburger. Truffle soup to start and rollmops. Absolutely outstanding food. We are still talking about it. Very friendly and helpful waiter too. Couldn’t fault it.
