Oxford Oaks is such a great addition to Oxford and brings with it so much to our quaint town. Oxford Oaks did not disappoint, with several new items to chose (my wife got the Nashville Hot fish and grits, and I got my "go to" 45 day aged Rib-eye)! They also added a new drink, the Cider Old Fashion, that is now my favorite! Don't let this one out of your sites, stop and visit for one of the best meals around.

Amalia Fumelli is the inspiration behind Amalia’s Authentic Italian Restaurant. She was born in Italy in 1932, and grew up on a farm. As she grew up, she took an interest in cooking and learned everything about the Italian kitchen from her mother and grandmother. For countless hours each day, Amalia began making hand-made pasta with her rolling pin on an old, wooden table. After many years, she had mastered her pasta creations through her skilled handiwork, precise cutting skills, and the amount of love she put into her work.

Over time, Amalia has passed all of her secrets and knowledge about food along to her children and grandchildren. One grandchild in particular, Filippo Fanfani, gained a passion for the art of cooking through her guidance. As a child, he spent all his days at his grandmother’s house preparing meals for his family. The two have a strong bond, that began with their conjoining love of creating meals that are enjoyable for everyone.

Ruth Chris is always a good experience, but this time a few things were off. We all ordered steaks medium and everything came out very rare. I don’t mind, but my wife and daughters sent their steaks back.

We went on a Monday night for our anniversary. The restaurant was not busy. We were created with smiles and sat promptly. The food was outstanding. The service wonderful. Carpaccio, a brilliant mushroom brie soup with truffle oil, a seafood tower and the best brownie we've ever had. We were given two glasses of complimentary champagne for our anniversary. One of the best meals and service we've had in a very long time. Looking forward to our next visit.

I have been a regular at this location for several years and have never had a bad experience. The waitresses are always friendly and work incredibly hard. They even go the extra mile by taking my pictures when I ask. I really enjoy coming here!
