Great food, amazing staff, and an amazing server. Great food with a nice ambiance, our waiter Matt gave the experience an authentic feel while still remaining extremely friendly. As someone in their early 20's, it's always nice to receive the same level of service and attention as the older guests. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

Osteria Amore came to life because we believe in the power of food to change your day, or in our case, change your life.

Owner Eduardo Daja has been working in restaurants since he was a teenager growing up in Italy, and his time in culinary school only strengthened his passion for food. After culinary school, Ed stayed in Bologna to work at a family-owned restaurant. He moved to Utah eight years ago, and found himself missing his first love, food. For the past three years, Ed has been managing an Italian restaurant while also maintaining a career in tech and finally made the life-changing decision to open his own restaurant.

That big decision was made possible for Ed when he met Marco Cuttaia, Osteria Amore’s executive chef and partner. Ed’s training in Bologna, considered the food capital of Italy, and Marco’s upbringing in Palermo, known for its incredible street food, bridge northern and southern Italian culinary tradition in a way that’s never been done in Salt Lake City.

Stoneground Italian is located downtown in a second-story loft overlooking the architecturally acclaimed Salt Lake City Public Library. Since opening in 2000, owner Bob McCarthy has been cooking up a dining experience that’s warm, welcoming and firmly planted in his Irish-Italian roots. He takes a simple approach to serving delicious food: always fresh and house-made.
The environment at Stoneground is cool and casual; some describe it as a rustic/urban vibe. You’ll feel comfortable dressed as you are. We dined here for our 25th Anniversary and it was top notch. From the front desk staff being amazing and seating us at our table even though we were 20 minutes early for our reservation, to the server assistants being on top of our drinks and clearing our table, and to the amazing server Brenda. When she walked up to the table in a sling and immediately started with banter about how she was injured and she had us laughing the entire time. The food, just wow! It was outstanding.

Everything was outstanding, from the appetizers, especially the calamari, cocktails outstanding, entrees outstanding, and the service made the night, Sean knew the menu and made great recommendations and even took care of our expecting mothers with non alcoholic cocktails Thank you for a great evening
