I had been given a gift card and decided to use it for our 18th anniversary dinner. We had a fabulous evening TJ our waiter was amazing as we were all of the staff. Food was delicious a hidden gem for sure. We will be back

Callie represents Chef Travis Swikard's debut solo project after spending a decade working alongside the esteemed Chef Daniel Boulud in New York City. The restaurant’s name, "Callie," comes from the Greek word "kallos," meaning "the most beautiful," and embodies its blend of Mediterranean cuisine with local ingredients and terroir, from sea to land from San Diego, Swikard's hometown. In 2022, Callie was acclaimed as one of America's top new restaurants by Esquire and Robb Report, and received both a Bib Gourmand and a Plate from the Michelin Guide. Callie is a dedicated supporter of Feeding San Diego, having contributed over 1 million meals to those in need in San Diego since its launch. Swikard is set to open his second restaurant in La Jolla in 2025.

The service here is always great! The hamburger is fabulous. My wife enjoys the Caesar Salad with a piece of Salmon. Great view of the golf course and is fine place for lunch or dinner.

The food was good and high-quality. The portions were a little small in the server informed us they would be. It occurs to me that if the server is informing you that the portions are a little small before you order, that should be something that the restaurant corrects .

We’ve been eating at Bandar since 1998! Always amazing food and service. My favorite is the eggplant appetizer, chicken kebab plate and green salad! Best place to eat before a show at the Balboa theater!
