Always a great breakfast. The best grits in town!!
Good food options, okay service, and good atmosphere.
A number of veggie options were available but the vegan members of out party had quite a bit of trouble and ended up just ordering fries and kale. Otherwise everything was great.
My second trip to this establishment in as many weeks. Both times the service was sorely lacking in both promptness after being seated and attentiveness throughout the service. Drinks were allowed to run out both times and the process from being seated to receiving food was more than 40 minutes. At least during my first visit the food was good. During the second visit not so much - salty, charred and soggy were all adjectives used by my guests in describing their food. We were also served "banana" pudding with NO bananas - inexcusable in the South! I was embarrassed to say the least as my recommendations is what brought my party to the restaurant for the second visit.
Food was ok, shrimp & grits and Thai curry were underseasoned. The restaurant was VERY noisy.
Awesome place. The food was delicious! Atmosphere was great. We will return!
Always friendly service, food consistently good, atmosphere is cheerful and friendly.
It's a cozy, happy place and we enjoy meeting friends there for a stress free dinner.
Rutledge Cab Company never fails to impress me. I always get the BLT with potato salad which both are amazing choice and very delicious!
Service was a bit slow, but the food was good. It was a Sunday night and within walking distance to our Airbnb
Great food and atmosphere. Waiter was cordial and thorough but had a lot of tables to service.
Dinner was great and so was the service. We were right next to the kitchen so it was a little loud and busy. But someone has to sit there. Would definitely go back or recommend this place to anyone!
We have been to Rutledge Cab many times and have always been pleased. That made this experience even more disappointing. Admittedly it was SEWE weekend, so everything was busy, but that doesn't excuse the fact that no-one seemed to have known we had been seated (despite the fact that we had a reservation and arrived timely). After sitting without drinks or service for over 10 minutes, we finally flagged down a trainee and she did an excellent job. However, my husband and I both ordered the steak. It was over cooked and full of fat. The fries were basically crumbs from the bottom of the fryer. At $25 per person for the steak, we won't order this again. We will however, come back and try the BLT again to make sure that Rutledge Cab hasn't lost its fastball.......
Casual sports bar like but with a unique atmosphere. Food was good. Feels like a place that the locals would go to.
My husband and I ordered the pu pu platter, I had the fried chicken salad and he had shrimp and grits. Pu pu platter has a lot of food for 2 people. Shrimp and grits were the best I have ever had, but be careful if you order the fried chicken salad! It has smoked bleu cheese crumbles on it which I realized I hated. This is not at all the restaurants fault at all, it simply was not palatable to me. Maybe ask for it on the side unless you are familiar. Great service!
Very noisy out on the patio. Great food choices, friendly service. Reasonable prices.
We were excited to try Rutledge Cab co as we had heard great things. We had the poutine and that was by far the best part of the meal. Our service wasn't great and the restaurant didn't have any clean app plates when our shared apps arrived. The noise level on the patio was HIGH, music was super loud.
I did think the music was too loud
Food amazing. Service great! We love this place
While my husband enjoyed his burger my omelette was overcooked and didn't have enough cheese and ham. Also the ham was white in color. My side of bacon was very limp. I'll come back but will order something different.
4 adults and 2 kids - our server brought the kids food out quickly and the rest of the food wasn't far behind. Everything was delicious and our service was great even though they were busy.
Always a delicious and enjoyable meal. Very popular place so be sure to make reservations and expect it to be noisy with conversations during peak times.
The food was good. Our server was very short and inattentive. We seemed to be a bother to him.
Great meal and great beer! Keep “Hi Wire” IPA on tap and we’ll be back!!
More than just a burger place! Had excellent food and will be going back soon. The staff was very kind in giving us a location where two guests could join even though the got caught in traffic from Atlanta. The outdoor space is well heated in the winter and very comfortable. Can’t wait to see you again.
Great fun at Rutledge Cab Co. Good food, lively setting. I would definitely recommend to my friends. I had a burger which was AMAZING!! Everyone in our group was very pleased with their meals. We had a lovely young college girl as our server, Alyssa, who was professional, informative, and courteous. I can see why this has become both a local and visitor favorite restaurant!
We go to Rutledge Cab for Burger Mondays when burgers are $5. It's a seriously good burger, and you can't beat the value. I recommend you make a reservation on Mondays. The word is out.
Service, food, drinks and atmosphere are always good.
The fries were a little too salty this visit
Great food selection, great service.
One of the best brunch places in charleston
Great setup. Food was delicious! Can't wait to go back.
Great restaurant with a solid menu and excellent service. Parking spaces are plentiful which is often difficult to find in Charleston.
Fun, casual spot. After excesses of Christmas, wanted an easy spot for immediate family. Varied menu provided something for everyone. Pupu Platter was a fun addition for our table of six. Sandwiches, burgers good eats & good value. Easy parking. Only downer was Bar was out of pineapple juice for a house cocktail. Send somebody out for cocktail ingredients. Easy access, fun spot; will return & recommend.
Good food and ambiance.
We chose this restaurant for brunch on Christmas Eve after Church in the morning. We used the location as a venue to gather as a family and open gifts. The location was easy to find in a nice neighborhood on the edge of industrialized Charleston. Indoor and outdoor seating available with the outdoor seating surrounded by seasonal plastic drapes, overall typical for a southern town in the winter months. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Lovely and accommodating waitress. Ordering from the extensive menu was easy and the selection reflected regional fare. Prices were reasonable for a town that has seen its reputation as a "foodie" destination increase over the last few years. Short wait time for our food was complicated by a delay in one order, which resulted in the waitress and the restaurant owner delivering the order three minutes later with flourish and on the house. Overall, a great dining experience that I would strongly recommend.
Two of us split the Pu-pu Platter and Mac & Cheese which was delicious and different. Warming the skewers over the open flame was fun and it was a perfect amount of food for 2 of us.
Brought my family for dinner a few days before Christmas. Atmosphere in RCCo is always welcoming, and the hostess staff seemed glad to see us. We got a booth, as requested, and had water and were greeted by wait staff immediately. Everyone loved the varied menu, the cocktail menu, and we had a wonderful time. Food was great and service was attentive and efficient. Onion soup, macaroni and cheese, and beef skewers were huge hits.
The lunch wS great and our waitress was very attentive
Excellent! We come every time we’re in Charleston!
Great value! Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. The shrimp and grits are first rate!
