Rutledge Cab Co.
The A/C wasn’t working. This is a better place for appetizers and Brew. Not a place for dinner.
Cool place. Smith good food, really good service and nifty ambiance.
We love this place- we live in Charleston so we come all the time. We also bring visiting family members who visit. It’s very relaxed and casual but the food and service are great!
Great burger and fries! Highly recommend. Amazing burger deal on Monday’s too!
Seemed to be short handed. Took an unusually long time to get food. Waitress had too many tables. Tea glass always empty. Fish tacos were not hot. Fries were though.
My first trip to Rutledge Cab Co. was with my daughter for dinner on Mother's Day. It was a delightful experience! The restaurant was busy but our service was excellent. The burgers were outstanding and the French Onion Soup was the best I've ever had. Their Honeysuckle Lemonade cocktail was very refreshing and a perfect complement to the meal! We'll definitely be back!!
Our server was nice but she did not check on us during the meal about anything. Usually our server will come to the table a few times.
Our second visit! Both times everything was superb! Can't believe to go back!
Fantastic food & service!! We will definitely be back again!
The french toast was amazing. Everyone was helpful and accommodating and My mother and I enjoyed our mothers day brunch very much. Even the little one loved it! We will be back for brunch again for sure!!
Great burgers. I recommend the spring rolls appetizers. Nice place to meet up with a friend(s) and catch up over lunch. Was able to park at the restaurant, which is always nice for downtown.
Love the burgers!! My husband likes the French fries while I prefer the coleslaw.
Fantastic food, great server!
Our group got butprgers, shrimp pasta, fish tacos - all were very happy with their orders!
Casual atmosphere but high quality food at reasonable prices.
Rutledge Cab is a casual, neighborhood restaurant that is a good go-to restaurant for casual fare. The food is good, service is good, very casual vibe. Cost is reasonable. We were there early on Wednesday evening so things were fairly quiet, but as the evening progressed, things were busier. On the weekend, it is very busy and noisy. There is a nice outside screened patio. Lots of beer choices. Food is plentiful.
Always great food & friendly folks.
Great food, great waiter, great ambiance until it got dark and the parking lot lights were shining directly on our table, but that's not something they can really help. Would definitely recommend! Great drinks, too.
Our server was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Perfect Sunday brunch spot.
Our waitress was not overly friendly. I ordered eggs, bacon and grits for my 10 year old. It came and was covered in pepper and she barely touched it. I’d expect a waitress to mention to us that this is how it was served since usually kids aren’t pepper lovers. I had to scrape the pepper off the bacon and she still barely touched it.
Great burgers. Good selection of draft beers. Fast service. Friendly staff.
Easter Sunday brunch. Food was excellent and service was awesome as always!!
Hope they will add eggs Benedict to menu! Omelets were best we've ever had!
Went with my in-laws. We were all impressed by the food and it was a great relaxed atmosphere where we could talk, but also people watch.
Where to begin? I’ll start with the positives:
1. Our waiter was attentive and courteous.
2. The beverage selection was good, but not great.
3. The French Fries were cooked to perfection.
4. The Cole slaw was excellent.
1. The fish sandwich was not fit to eat. It was frozen and cooked at a high temperature which converted the fish to a mealy, inedible substance.
2. The hamburger my daughter ordered was not prepared to her specifications and was barely acceptable.
We used to be a regular, then stopped going because of the lack of attention to the food preparation, but decided to give RCC another chance. It didn’t work out!
Move over Crave, I just found the absolute best macaroni and cheese ever! How on earth did you all know what my favorite cheeses are? Everything was absolutely wonderful from the service, food, friendliness of the staff, I can’t think of anything that would’ve made our lunch better. Now I have to wonder if you guys sell your mac & cheese by the tray?
The food was okay, not anything special. The lettuce in my salad was not the freshest I have seen. The chairs on the patio are terribly uncomfortable, maybe they could place a small cushion in them to help make them a bit more comfortable. The service was good, our waiter tried very hard to be sure we had what we needed.
I can walk to you and frequent. The burgers last 3 visits were over cooked and dry. Something has changed since you opened and even as of a year ago. Not the. Eat burger any more. I’m disappointed.
Its a fun place with cool decor!
the food is delicious and the employees are great!
Delicious cocktails and food! Great vibe for a casual bite to eat! Family friendly.
Burgers came out under cooked. Baja tacos had a sliver of fish inside.
We went expecting a run of the mill experience but we were surprised! The menu is simple but very well prepared and tasty. We had the poutine, a burger and a shrimp burger. We left nothing even though the portions were ample!
Food and service was outstanding!
Great food, relaxed atmosphere
Went there from Recognition Day at the Citadel
With all the good restaurants in the area, a restaurant has to do what they do very well to stand out. Unfortunately, nothing stood out for us when we ate at Rutledge Carb Co. The ambiance was the best part about our visit. I like the general vibe. The service was not great. We waited to order a second beverage so long we ended up not ordering one at all. We had to call our server over for condiments after we had had out food long enough to eat half of it without any. The food was average. The bar menu was pretty decent but not enough to salvage the experience and we were only given the opportunity to order one drink.
Never a disappointment. Mac and cheese to die for, delicious burgers. Look forward to eating here every time we visit Charleston!
Great food. Really enjoy this restaurant
Great place for brunch. I had an amazing BLT with candied and peppered bacon. Others at our table enjoyed the corned beef hash (so good it warranted a second serving), the fried chicken biscuit with sage gravy and salmon/spinach omelet. Great place for families, friends and really anyone. Can be loud, so if that's an issue ask for an inside booth.
Our open table reservation made sure they were ready for us. We sat out on the patio, and the service was wonderful ( thanks Tim).
The burger and Ruben sandwich were delicious and filling. We highly recommend that everyone try the potato salad!
A great night.
Food was outrageous, a must stop if you are in the area. Service was impeccable and atmosphere was really fun!
