   As a regular at this Ruth Chris, the kitchen last night was awful. After send my steak back twice, I ended up going home a made.me a sandwich.

   It was my wife's birthday and we truly had a fun time. We were early and visited the bar just in time for happy hour. The bartenders were happy & joyful that added to the fun time. After an hour of laughing and joking with them, we ordered the filet mignon, Shrimp and wine special. We added brussel sprouts and enjoyed everything. We are definitely coming back.

   I have been going to Ruth’s Chris steakhouses all over the USA and Mexico and have always enjoyed the food and service! UNTIL my last 2 visits with guests at Walnut Creek. The food quality has dropped significantly! Wait staff has lost its golden touch and service is mediocre at best. The restaurant was the slowest I have ever seen it but the host placed all parties in an area back of the restaurant leaving many tables open and squeezing parties together the noise level was high from conversation. They should balance the restaurant better. Appetizers were a major disappointment as well. I am not liking their changes and have dropped this restaurant off my favorite list.

   This experience was a let down, I made my parents a reservation here for their 29th anniversary and filled out a credit card authorization form to take care of the bill for them - this never happened, my parents paid the bill even though I called to confirm prior to the reservation. My parents told me they waited 30 minutes for the table even they had a reservation and they also mentioned the service was extremely poor, practically non existent. Huge letdown as I am a fan of the food and coming from an established restaurant there is a higher expectation that they did not live up to.

   Kitchen was not on point but the service was great! Sides cane out room temp on the prefix menu. Side went back to get heated and the kitchen was slammed so they came much later. A bit of a bummer .

   I would like to start out by saying I love RC but this particular occasion the service was not up to the standard that i have been accustom to considering this type of restaurant . My service was very slow considering the slow night that they were experiencing . My steak was not the level of what i have wanted .

   It was my boyfriends birthday and he was dress coded because of the sweater and hat he had on yet there was people wearing sports jackets and hats around us. The steak was not cooked to the level I asked for and my crab cakes did not taste how they usually do. The waitress made it seem as if we had never been there before yet we’d actually been to Ruth Chris many times prior. We also noticed the portions of the food did not match to the ones we’ve gotten times before. The service was horrible they did not make us feel welcome at all yet instead uncomfortable.

   Food is good, expensive but good. They NEED to work on their CUSTOMER SERVICE big time! Waiters need to check tables and clear them more often.
