We love having our date night at Ruth's Chris. We come often because the quality of the food is superior. We had steak and creamed spinach which we excellently prepared. Our server Cole was professional, polite and attentive. We will continue to patronize this restaurant.
Birthday , it was nice
As always, the steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned.
Service not like it use to be. Waitress was very nice but not sure if she had to much on her plate as it was slow.
Excellent service and food
Love going there for birthdays! Great food and great service!
I like to treat myself every now and again to a great dinner experience and Ruth's Chris is typically near the top of my list. Our steaks were cooked perfectly to order and the sides were tremendous. Brian was a great server providing quality recommendations as well as friendly conversation. Of the three Baltimore area Ruth's Chris I've been too this was the most enjoyable
It same great food but the location on water st in Baltimore is always going to be my favorite and seems more Intimate setting so sad to see it close
Our server was great! Food was excellent and consistent as usual. Love this location.
I have tried really hard to enjoy this place and this was our first time back since a horrible service experience some time ago. It hasnt changed. The ambiance is snooty. The waits and waiteeases kept squeezing by our table with trays full of glasses with liquid making us wonder each and every time if they were going to spill it on us. Didnt like seeing their hips etc brush up against our table either. If you need more room, make more room. Food was mediocre. Just not worth the $$$$.
Reserved my table on OpenTable two weeks out for a Saturday Valentine's meal. My previous experiences with Ruth's Chris were mouth watering steaks that melted in your mouth and a great ambiance. This visit failed at both of those memories. First, the hostess seated us at a table for two right beside a family of four. This was not a separate table. The couple had manners and used their indoor voices. The two couples that replaced them turned our Valentine's day meal into listening to these two couples TALK very LOUDLY. I had the servers' buttocks in my face every time they served the table beside us. There was a large birthday party in the meeting room and they were VERY LOUD and OBNOXIOUS. They deserve to have a fun time; however it took away from the ambiance of customers on the dining floor in my opinion. Our server CJ was the best. Very professional, nice, and thorough. The only comment about service is our water glasses were NEVER refilled. We had to ask CJ for refills. The food (we both ordered Filets Medium with Lobster tails) was good but not worth the money. They did not melt in my mouth like my previous RC experience. I have had better steaks at lower end restaurants for a much lower price. The side garlic mash potatoes and brussel sprouts were excellent. The desert was excellent. I asked a hostess if Opentable had certain seats and HOW could I get a separate booth if I return. She said call the restaurant directly and ask for a booth. So this is my second experience where I believe OpenTable "tables" are NOT the best seats in the house; in fact they are probably the worst. The ambiance and quality lacked despite a large bill and desire for a special Valentine's dinner. I probably will not return to this RC but will be open to trying another location in the future.
The server, Tasha was excellent. She is definitely an asset to the business!
My server was excellent and provided great service. The food was very good too
Me and My boyfriend spent our Valentine’s Day at Ruth Chris. Service could’ve been better as the waiter forgot to get us water and he kept forgetting the salad dressing for my boyfriend. The food was soooooo good though. Other than the waiter my experience was great. It was a little noisy because we were seated in a both eat the bar. We were ok with that but someone else may have been a little upset.
We have eaten here on several occasions. Two on Valentine's Day this time. They seated us in a back room not the restaurant which I assume was a banquet space. Obviously, not very romantic. Food was good, but over priced. Our bill with a few drinks no desert was $340. I will go to the Prime Rib in Baltimore next time. Always excellent with no surprises and about the same price.
No such thing as a bad meal here.
Tarsha was a great waitress. Very attentive and made sure we were happy with our meals. I have not been disappointed with the service or ambiance. Ruth Chris will continue to be first choice for a great steak dinner and the sides are fantastic as well. Thanks for making my hubby’s birthday celebration wonderful!
My experience was good overall, thanks to our waitress- Valerie. Just a few issues: a.) I had reserved my table a week earlier, but when i got there on time, i was asked to wait in the bar while my guests were still arriving, before i could get seated at my reserved table. I did not like this, as i am a first-time visitor at this restaurant. b.) They took TOO LONG to take our orders and to give us our meals, the waiters were not within sight, had to keep asking and searching for them. We finally had our meals about 3.5 hours later! I certainly did not like this, as my guests and i were here for 4 hours total, just for a birthday dinner? Unacceptable i must say. Regardless of these issues, the food was good and tasty, and only Valerie (besides the 3 waiters we were assigned to) paid us any decent attention. Please, do better at your customer service/delivery.
Great service even on a super busy evening. Food is always
Love their lobster mac and cheese! Filet mignon and gumbo were also delicious! Enjoyed the chocolate sin cake at the end of dinner.
Wonderful as alway. Was the last day of Restaurant week but that special menu was not displayed, you had to ask for it (although I wasn't interested in it, it still should have been offered)
Great food. Excellent service. A very calm and relaxing atmosphere. Always a pleasant experience.
let me start by saying that the staff did a great job -- we were seated within 3 minutes of arriving and all the wait staff were very attentive and responsive even when the martinis had to be sent back -- so that said, neither I my husband or my guest would ever return -- the steaks they ordered were of mediocre quality, which for a steak house is not acceptable especially at that price -- I ordered the crab cakes -- they were the worst crab cakes I have ever eaten since there was barely any crab there -- there were two cakes and they were all filler with a small amount of crab on top -- I can't believe that a restaurant in Maryland would offer such poor quality for a signature Maryland dish -- the onion rings were not hot and the crab mac and cheese was tasteless -- sorry this seems negative but aside from the congenial wait staff there is nothing nice I can say about the food
Hands down our favorite steak restaurant. Always guaranteed great food and great service. Restaurant week and summer specials are an excellent deal. Winston was our server tonight and he was great!
Ruth’s continues to show their great quality and management. Winston provides outstanding service and does everything to ensure an special evening - in this case Birthday.
Had a wonderful dinner celebrating my son’s 23rd Birthday.
It was a great birthday celebration! The waitress was superb!
Great service and excellent food!!!
The quality of the food was low and cheap. I will never visit again.
This visit we had the best lobster mac and cheese ever! The dish was prepared with elbow macaroni instead of cork screw macaroni and a full lobster was chopped in just the right pieces and plopped on top so you know it was there and didn't have to hunt for it buried inside the dish. It was really good. The filet Mignon is ALWAYS cooked to chef perfection (medium rare) and buttery soft. We also had chopped salads which were very nice and capped the evening with chocolate sin cake dessert. Great meal. We will be back again before the end of Baltimore County restaurant week. Thank you Ruth's Chris steakhouse for another excellently prepared meal.
My husband was craving a steak and we hadn’t been to Ruth’s Chris for quite some time so we thought we’d go back since it’s just around the corner. We had no idea that it was restaurant week and we were pleasantly surprised. It was great value for the amount of food that was included in their special for restaurant week. The steak was so tender and delicious you could almost cut it with a fork and my dinner the stuffed chicken actually without the stuffing per my request, was mouthwatering. Also the chocolate cake and berries were to perfection. We will definitely be going back again soon.
Even though we had reservations the wait was lengthy. Service was mediocre but food was delicious. Room we were put in was cold.
The restaurant used to be so good. It's a shame, the quality/service has gone downhill over the past few years. They need the old manager back!
As always, our visit was outstanding. Marcus did a great job and the food was top notch
Although it was restaurant week, the service was well below acceptable. From sitting down to getting our check, the dinner was three hours ! That doesn’t include desert which we got to go because we had people waiting for us at home. Waiter was nice, but new and was unable to prioritize. Didn’t get drinks requested, coffee and my entree ended up on my wife’s plate while only a side salad was served to me. We were almost 90 minutes into being seated before we were asked what we would like for dinner. Unfortunately we chose Restaurant Week to go out to dinner, but I’ve never had this trouble before.
It was set up very nice and everyone was respectful. They put rose pedals out and everything.
Great as always
We love this place. We expect to pay for superb food and atmosphere and we get it. I was disappointed for the first time when my wife ordered a glass of sparkling rose. It took a few minutes before our waitress brought out a split (mini bottle) of Chandon. When we got the check, I was annoyed to see $30 for a mini bottle of Chandon. Had it been the Moet & Chandon the waitress mistakenly told us, I could see that as the price per glass, but Chandon Rose alone is $15 a bottle.
