Ruth's Chris Steak House - Pikesville
Book your next event with us
let me start by saying that the staff did a great job -- we were seated within 3 minutes of arriving and all the wait staff were very attentive and responsive even when the martinis had to be sent back -- so that said, neither I my husband or my guest would ever return -- the steaks they ordered were of mediocre quality, which for a steak house is not acceptable especially at that price -- I ordered the crab cakes -- they were the worst crab cakes I have ever eaten since there was barely any crab there -- there were two cakes and they were all filler with a small amount of crab on top -- I can't believe that a restaurant in Maryland would offer such poor quality for a signature Maryland dish -- the onion rings were not hot and the crab mac and cheese was tasteless -- sorry this seems negative but aside from the congenial wait staff there is nothing nice I can say about the food
Hands down our favorite steak restaurant. Always guaranteed great food and great service. Restaurant week and summer specials are an excellent deal. Winston was our server tonight and he was great!
Ruth’s continues to show their great quality and management. Winston provides outstanding service and does everything to ensure an special evening - in this case Birthday.
Had a wonderful dinner celebrating my son’s 23rd Birthday.
Great service and excellent food!!!
The quality of the food was low and cheap. I will never visit again.
This visit we had the best lobster mac and cheese ever! The dish was prepared with elbow macaroni instead of cork screw macaroni and a full lobster was chopped in just the right pieces and plopped on top so you know it was there and didn't have to hunt for it buried inside the dish. It was really good. The filet Mignon is ALWAYS cooked to chef perfection (medium rare) and buttery soft. We also had chopped salads which were very nice and capped the evening with chocolate sin cake dessert. Great meal. We will be back again before the end of Baltimore County restaurant week. Thank you Ruth's Chris steakhouse for another excellently prepared meal.
My husband was craving a steak and we hadn’t been to Ruth’s Chris for quite some time so we thought we’d go back since it’s just around the corner. We had no idea that it was restaurant week and we were pleasantly surprised. It was great value for the amount of food that was included in their special for restaurant week. The steak was so tender and delicious you could almost cut it with a fork and my dinner the stuffed chicken actually without the stuffing per my request, was mouthwatering. Also the chocolate cake and berries were to perfection. We will definitely be going back again soon.
The restaurant used to be so good. It's a shame, the quality/service has gone downhill over the past few years. They need the old manager back!
As always, our visit was outstanding. Marcus did a great job and the food was top notch
Although it was restaurant week, the service was well below acceptable. From sitting down to getting our check, the dinner was three hours ! That doesn’t include desert which we got to go because we had people waiting for us at home. Waiter was nice, but new and was unable to prioritize. Didn’t get drinks requested, coffee and my entree ended up on my wife’s plate while only a side salad was served to me. We were almost 90 minutes into being seated before we were asked what we would like for dinner. Unfortunately we chose Restaurant Week to go out to dinner, but I’ve never had this trouble before.
It was set up very nice and everyone was respectful. They put rose pedals out and everything.
Great as always
We love this place. We expect to pay for superb food and atmosphere and we get it. I was disappointed for the first time when my wife ordered a glass of sparkling rose. It took a few minutes before our waitress brought out a split (mini bottle) of Chandon. When we got the check, I was annoyed to see $30 for a mini bottle of Chandon. Had it been the Moet & Chandon the waitress mistakenly told us, I could see that as the price per glass, but Chandon Rose alone is $15 a bottle.
Special Occasion dinner and every staff member Congratulated us on our Anniversary. Pamela, our server, was efficient, personable and more than willing to work with us on certain dietary issues with excellent suggestion, custom tailoring the meal to ensure it was special. She has the knack of appearing to meet every need at just the right moment. The food was excellent! Thank you to all.
While we enjoyed our New Year's Eve experience at Ruth's Chris very much, most likely because of the hectic evening and the many people there to ring in the new year, our service was not what we've experienced in the past.
The food was great and prepared exactly as we wanted and we will most definitely return and recommend Ruth's Chris to our friends and family.
Overall our dinner was good. My only complaint was how close the tables were... My husband and I were in between 2 others and I felt it was a little to close but other then that it was a good Dinner...
My friends and I frequent this location and the food is usually top quality. However the steaks were dry. The waitress was not very attentive. The bread pudding came out cold. The manager gave us complimentary drinks because of the bread pudding but we didn’t ask for free drinks and no one asked what drinks we wanted as complimentary.
The waiter did not know that the accompaniment dinners for $40 was only Mon thru Thurs and had to be informed by us
I requested a quiet table as my parents have a tough time hearing in noisy places. The table we had was perfect! We al enjoyed out meals and the wait staff was very pleasant. Thank you for a wonderful experience for the father's 88th birthday!
I have always enjoyed the Annapolis Ruth’s Chris. Our food and experience at the Pikesville location does not come close.
It was so crowded. The wait staff kept bumping into my chair. They could barely get by.
Otherwise, it was very good
We are a jovial group of ten and had a great time in the banquet room. It was perfect for our group. Food and service were great! Plenty of space and not hurried. A wonderful Christmas Eve!!
The petite fillet was fabulous. Everyone loved their steak!
Compared to other high end steakhouses, Ruth’s Chris continues to trend toward Outback. Service nowhere near high end costs, with waiter disappearing for long stretches, water and drink refills taking extremely long. For cost of steak, wife’s was cooked Improperly. Probably be my last trip here for awhile.
Another delicious meal from start to finish!
Our server, Jeff, was very attentive and helped us celebrate a joint anniversary with my in-laws. Our anniversary dates are two days apart, and since they had never been to a Ruth's Chris before, I decided to give them something to check off their bucket list after 55 years of marriage! Jeff gave us a great complementary dessert at the end. We will be returning to a Ruth's Chris near us soon.
Great service! Porterhouse for two we made for three and we still had some left over! The beef was tender and delicious. Bria, our server was so pleasant and nice. Very wonderful experience overall!
Our waiter was totally out of it and quote slow. He mixed up two steaks; they were made the wrong temperatures. He also almost put an 8oz steak on our bill but it was for the table next to us. He never offered us more water after we finished our bottle of Perrier.
Always a wonderful Dining experience. One of my favorite places !
One of the best lunches I’ve ever had. My 93 y/o mother enjoyed her rare hamburger and creamed spinach. I loved my 6-oz filet minion with Cremona mushrooms (and some creamed spinach. For dessert, we each had chocolate ice cream. Wow, everything was great.
We had a 7:30 reservation and arrived somewhat early. It wasn’t a problem and the hostess was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was not at all crowded, but getting our server’s attention was quite an effort. We ordered a bottle of wine then waited a good 15 minutes before we were told that the wine we requested was not in stock. Our server was pitching some wine and before we ordered the first bottle, our server brought out samples of the wine he was pitching. When we had to make another wine selection, he tried to steer us back to the wine being pitched and again brought us samples. This all would have been very nice if we didn’t have to keep waiting for our server to put in a wine order,
The food was decent but nothing special. We started with the crab stuffed mushrooms which were swimming in butter and seemed to have been prepared far in advance and reheated for us. Our steaks were okay and our sides of mashed potatoes and creamed spinach seemed to have been prepared the day before and reheated for us.
This Ruth’s Chris is fairly close to our home, although we hadn’t eaten there in a number of years. It was raining the evening we went out and chose Ruth’s Chris because of its proximity. It will again be a number of years before we return.
Been to this location every year for the past decade on our birthday. Our server was the worst. Worst experience ever!! Not attentive at all and slow getting our food and checking us out.
The issue was my husband and I were seated, the dishes on the table were absolutely dirty with old food stuck to them and I immediately requested to see the Manager. Who came over and verified our experience. There was nothing he did to compensate for our experience.. a dessert, drink, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! Through my Lenses, I have my perspectives on Why, nothing was done ! But I will Stay High!
Family dinner for kids home from college
I’ve been to Ruth’s Chris many times and several different locationst. This location is beautiful on the inside and the food was terrific.
Have gone here every thanksgiving for years with family. Service good but food not as good as past. Increased price in turkey dinner ridiculous and quality not Worth it. We had to get one meal to go and dessert not packed in bag. Husband had to drive back other side of beltway to get it. This was our last thanksgiving here.
