Michael, our server was phenomenal! Our steaks were perfection.
We had a wonderful dinner, our server Ann, was fantastic.
The food was very good, the preparation was fantastic.
The sommelier introduced us to some wonderful champagne.
Can’t wait to return
My only concern was the lack of dress code enforcement. Two men were in colored plain t-shirts; one man was in medical scrubs; at least one man (at another table) wore his baseball cap the entire time - there may have been more, but the entire table was not in my line of sight. Blue jeans and tennis shoes as well as the above mentioned items are NOT business casual attire. They should have been stopped at the check in desk.
I realize that may be a touchy situation, but a dress code requirement is a dress code requirement.
A particular bonus for the evening was having our picture taken at the table and presented to us in a nice folder.
All in all, a lovely evening.
We made reservs at Ruths because it was a special birthday for my husband. We have been going to Ruths for 25 years and always had the 16oz New York, its my husbands favorite steak anywhere. They had a special that was a 16 oz NY and 8 Crab legs it sounded good so we ordered it. The steak was not sizzling and it was thin, tough and full of grizzle.
WE HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A POOR STEAK at Ruths before!
My husband told the server to take it off the bill, a manager never came to the table and when the birthday dessert was served it was a cold doughy little apple thing. We didn't eat it VERY DISAPPOINTING!
We truly appreciate your feedback because it helps us improve. This is not at all the experience we aim to provide. So we can learn more, please consider sending us your contact information, including a phone number. Thank you!
Reserved a nice round table in the center room and received a very nice center table.
Great service -great food
Amazing food!! Service was beyond the best. Just an incredible experience.
We were very disappointed in the service and quality of food . Have been to Ruth Chris over many years and everything was below par . The Tomahawk steak was tough , and overpriced for the portion size !
Service was disorganized and overall poor .
May not return ...
Our first time there , the ambiance is very nice and servers are very attendant and friendly ; the food was good but not excellent for the prices .

This is the 2nd time we have had this server and honestly she’s not a favorite. She doesn’t come back enough to check on you but that may not be her fault perhaps she just has too many tables. I asked for my vegetables cooked a certain way they were not, our steaks were not cooked the way we requested either but we ate them anyway, 2 of us asked for Bernaise sauce she only brought 1 so then you are waiting while your steak gets cold for it to come out. We ordered the chocolate duo for dessert the whipped cream had turned sour. We had to flag down the lady seating a new table because the server never came back over. She took the dessert off our check so that was good. Im sure the management doesn’t care about my complaints but we eat here once a month and we expect more for $300.
We have eaten at several different Ruth Chris restaurants, but the atmosphere at this one in Palm Desert was so much nicer - quieter, and a warmer feel.
The food, as always, was excellent. The servers are very friendly and attentive. Ruth Chris is just one of my very favorite restaurants.
Wine list was disgusting. Chardonnay starts at $47.00 for a bottle of Kendall Jackson - and not the good Kendall. It was the cheap Kendall with a screw top. Same as they sell at Stater Bros market for $10.00. Top Chardonnay was Far Niente for $145.00. Did not offer any “Daou” or Robert Talbot. We both ordered the fixed price 3 course dinner, filet with creamed spinach and bread pudding. None of it was nearly as good as the similar fare at The Pacific Dining Car in Santa Monica. The coffee was inexpensive but poor. The San Pellegrino was reasonable. The service was excellent. Definitely not worth the exhorbitant price. I don’t plan to ever visit any Ruth’s Chris again.
For some reason, service was spotty. Took much longer than usual to have order taken and long delays between order taken and food served. Also, this was a birthday dinner, but no recognition was given to the birthday person. What's the point of indicating a birthday when no one acknowledges it at the restaurant.
Also, the glass of a very average red wine priced at $24.00 was excessive. Nothing special! This is a bottle of wine I can purchase at Cosco or Trader Joes for a fraction of the cost. I find that this is price-gouging when they're already making a ton of money on alcohol.
Finally, my filet mignon (price $55) that I ordered medium rare was very rare. The server offered to return it to the chef to cook longer, but I decline, fearing the steak would be either ovecooked putting it back on the fire.
Always love the food, ambiance and atmosphere at Ruth’s Chris. Worth the money! Some of the best filet I have ever had!
Ordered the combo king crab legs and New York special
The crab was a joke it was pretty bad , really sad little pieces of king crab, they should be ashmed to serve and charge a large fee for that meal
Ruth Chris never lets us down, there ribeye is simply the best. There banana cream pie dessert is to die for as well.
We really enjoy the menu and consistently great steaks at RC but this time the food fell short of our usual experience. We all ordered our steaks medium well and all of them came to us at least medium rare and in my husband’s case rare. He had to send his back. They were also completely out of their signature bread pudding which one person in our party had really been looking forward to having. The waitress gave a free portion of another dessert option but it was super small and not as good as the original. The service was great and the waitress apologized for the steaks but it left us disappointed with a meal we were all looking forward to enjoying.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoy our dinner. Whenever we are in the area, we try to get to this restaurant.
It was our first time there and loved it from our first steps in the building. The food was amazing! Our Server (Devon) was awesome and had great recommendations for us. We’ll be back for sure.
Valentine’s Day after dinner.
After making a reservation 2 months earlier via OpenTable, still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. Restaurant was very loud, making conversing quite difficult. The filet was okay, but not great. Chef's staff neglected to remove all of the silver skin from filet.
We go to Ruth's Chris every Valentine's. I had the Rib steak which I would rate as just fair. Wy wife had fillet minion which I would rate as excellent. We had potatoes Au Gratin which were good. Sorry to report that their corkage fee is gone from $15 to $20 little pricey in my opinion.
Service was below Ruth’s Chris standards. We dine at different Ruth’s Chris Restaurants periodically. It was Valentines Day, and I made reservations in December.
Samatha was the name of the gal at the reception desk. She was not in a good mood, never smiled, and was not pleasant to guests or her co-workers. I don’t think she could handle the pressure of so many guests waiting to be seated. I saw the manager come to the front desk to talk to her, but don’t know what about, as her attitude didn’t change.
After finally getting seated, which was a nice table, service began w/the young man who poured water into the glasses. He poured water into my glass, but he missed and water was all over. I used my napkin to mop it up. It was soaked. Things like this happen, but he should have been trained to clean up the mess, not stand there and let the guest do it.
Our server, Gerrero, was not that great, either.
I think he had too many tables, and therefore, his service suffered.
The food was very good... the salad could have used a little more dressing as noted by the only two who had salad, and the béarnaise sauce was too thick and the quantity was about one tablespoon. Thank goodness the steaks were cooked perfectly.
We left very disappointed in the service at the table and front desk ( just Samantha). The other hostess was very friendly.

We had a reservation for 12. We were on time and were told it would be a few minutes. After 20 minutes we asked if there was a problem and were told the Manager would talk to us. Ten minutes later he appeared and told us that we would have to break up into two groups. Our Servers were nice and the food was good. But, you get a much better experience on all levels at LG.

We went for Valentines and it was wonderful. Manage gave us a 25 gift card amazing!
Love everything about this place except the super small cocktails that cost 2x more than anywhere else
In the area, in the future no more cocktails will be ordered also no Pinot Grigio on wine by the glass menu.
Great meal and team
The food and the service was excellent. I ordered the filet with the twin lobster tails. The filet was prepared as ordered. It was very tender. The lobster tails were delicious. My husband had the ribeye
Ruth's Classic. It was seasoned perfectly. The service was outstanding. I will definitely dine there again.
The environment was wonderful, the service very good, and the food was excellent. The nicest feature was table placement, as we were a twosome and were placed among other twosomes which allowed table to table conversations which were very enjoyable.
We had a lovely 3 hr dining experience. Excellent server Guerreo, quiet setting, perfectly prepared food.
Service was not quite as good as we have experienced in the past. Also, my filet had grizzle, not the usual Ruth Chris filet. I should have complained but I didn’t. With that said, we will still return to Ruth’s Chris.
Excellent food,, fine service, brought our own wine, lovely ambiance. All superb!
My wife and I went over the weekend. The service was amazing and the food was excellent. My steak was cooked perfect. The sweet potato casserole side is one of my favorites.
Amazing amazing, on all aspects!
An early Valentines date, we enjoyed everything! Excellent service!
Fantastic all around. Great food, and excellent service.
