   Super place to go. For the first time (out of 4 visits). My Ribeye was below standards. It was cooked as I requested……..just was a tough piece of meat. Not sure it was a prime cut piece of meat. I ate what I could, paid the bill…..then told the waitress what to tell the cook. Everything else was outstanding, just the meat. Not Sue the chef could have rescued the meat. I will be back!

   Was very disappointed to learn there are no changing tables for use in the bathroom. A mother out on Mother’s Day was unable to change her child. This is not okay.

   Had to take an 8:15 reservation due to capacity bookings only to get there at 8 and the place was half empty. We would have come at 7. Steaks were great. Appetizers were so so. Wait staff good

   Made the mistake of choosing this restaurant as a celebration for my son’s college graduation. He ordered his steak medium rare and it came out so rare that when he showed it to the waiter, he exclaimed ‘whoa!’ Waiter proceeded to take it back so now the graduate was sitting there with no food and we didn’t want to eat our meals in front of him as he waited. Mistakes happen, so we were calm about it. The manager brought the plate back and it was the same steak re-cooked. First of all, I don’t expect a high end steakhouse to bring the same steak back out. Because now the part my son cut was overcooked. But second, when he cut into the rest of it, it was STILL very rare. The manager said, I can take it back again but if I do it might ruin the steak, and our medium rare is more on the rare side. First of all, the steak wouldn’t be ruined if it didn’t have to be sent back twice. Second, there’s no such thing as a medium rare steak being ‘more rare’. Doneness of a steak is universally a temperature range. The manager gave my son attitude about it on his college graduation day and it completely killed our celebratory mood. I was appalled by his attitude. He then said he would comp this now piece of garbage steak, to which I said “as you should”. From that time on our waiter basically disappeared. The manager did come back later when he saw my son wasn’t even eating the steak, and offered him a dessert or drink, which my son declined because he was rather bummed out about the entire experience. I deeply regret choosing this restaurant for our celebration. Frankly our entire meal should have been comped, as the rest of us waited to eat our food while the steak was taken back twice, and we all ended up eating a very expensive cold meal. Absolutely ridiculous for a restaurant of this level. Will never go back.

    Way over priced!!!! Nothing special about the food served … Steak seasoning and garlic mashed potatoes were both very salty … had to send potatoes back as they were served lukewarm. … waiter was pleasant and handled request for hot potatoes well … Wouldn’t return to eat here as the food was average and the prices were ridiculous for what was served!

    A nice and relaxing evening dining experience! The two of us started with a beverage each and the ordered dinner: a dinner salad for me with oil and vinegar, the lamb chops featured entree and a side of mushrooms to share. Partner ordered a Caesar salad and a Featured New York Strip steak. Everything was great! - cooked to desired temperature and served up well by our waiter, Ismael. I’ve been following a Keto diet plan; it’s great I can get some foods that are compatible with it. Everything tasted wonderful, and we left happy.

    It’s always good! The service is excellent and the food is amazing . I wish there would be a dress code, seeing people with baseball hats and shirts / t-shirts kind of makes the atmosphere seem less than optimal.

    Very inviting atmosphere; quiet and able to carry on a conversation. Our service was spectacular. Very attentive without being obtrusive. Our food, filet and New York Strip were cooked to medium rare perfection. The sides were good. It would be nice to have individual sides offered as well as the larger table sized sides. Al told, a great place to celebrate or just spend time with family and friends.

    They have the best cream spinach. Shrimp cocktail was fantastic. Steak and lobster were good, but not as good as we have had in the past. Our waitress was exceptional.

    We always have a fantastic meal here. Great service. Great food. Always comes out piping hot. The filet Oscar style is my go to meal. The Caesar salad is yummy. The Gambler Old Fashioned is on point. The chocolate sin cake is also delicious & super rich! We love coming to Ruth’s Chris for a great dinner.

    We waited about 15 minutes to be waited on. Our waitress was MIA most of the time. Food was amazing, but for the price I would think the service would be just as good. Overall, I’d say not worth the cost.

    Fantastic restaurant that we would recommend to all. The service was fantastic, they let you take your time, were very knowledgeable and accommodating. The only downside is that the entire restaurant is very dark. Lighting needs to be updated. But all-in-all, a fantastic restaurant.

    Sat us late. Steak was over cooked. Waitress and service was ok. A two appetizers, some drinks, four meals and a few sides, $600 with tip. A bit high for overall experience. I think Madìson has better options.

    Great experience from when we arrived until we left. When we checked in we were wished "Happy Anniversary", then Wilton our server wished us a Happy Anniversary. Food quality was outstanding from the Caesar salad to the steaks, Garlic mashed potatoes, and the special dessert. My 11 oz Filet was outstanding, hot, tender, and prepared as requested. It's been ages since I have eaten a quality filet that was this tender and the taste was outstanding. The shrimp were seasoned nicely and crisp and the garlic mash potatoes were really good and hot. Bread was warm and tasty. The wife had the twin filet with six shrimp and she loved it. In my opinion, the best steak in Madison, Wisconsin. Our special evening was made special by Wilton who was efficient and understood the menu and took care of our requests. You don't expect this level of service at chain restaurants but you do at upscale restaurants. Very polished and fast and extremely courteous. We did appreciate the conversation with the manager who spent time at all tables. He started off by wishing us a Happy Anniversary, the secret was the red paper peddles on our table. Most managers at better restaurants visit tables and quickly leave, this was not our case. Nice discussion, very personable and polished. Great job. Of course, I had notified the staff when I made our reservations that it was our anniversary. Everyone we came in contact with knew it was our anniversary which made our evening. When they delivered the special dessert with the small cup of outstanding cheesecake in one corner and another cup of quality ice cream in the other corner, and with the words Happy Anniversary in script on the plate was the highlight of our meal. They lit the candle which was really nice and of course, the Happy Anniversary wish by a couple of staff members. Oh, by the way, the cheesecake was outstanding and very "rich". Overall an outstanding evening celebrating our anniversary. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

    A great experience from start to finish. There is ample parking right in front of the restaurant. Our server, Young, was amazing. Very attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The food was excellent and definitely worth the price. I would highly recommend.

    The two of us decided to go out for an early dinner, desiring a relaxed, quiet ambiance. I’m also on a Keto eating plan and knew I could get some menu options that wouldn’t violate my diet. Our waiter, Leo, was attentive and friendly. We started with salads. My partner got the Caesar salad which he loved. I ordered the house salad - just the greens with oil and vinegar on the side. Lovely fresh greens! We each ordered a steak; he ordered a New York Strip, and I ordered a Petite Filet. We ordered two additional sides: the sautéed mushrooms and steamed broccoli. Our steaks came perfectly cooked - medium rare- and were delicious! The Crimini mushrooms were cooked to perfection and were a perfect side to our steaks. The steamed broccoli was initially a big disappointment as most of the florets were yellowish/brown. They looked like really old florets that had begun flowering and were then steamed/cooked. They didn’t taste very good. I expressed some disappointment to our waiter, Leo, but said he could just leave the dish and I would pick through for some green florets. Next thing I knew the manager came to look at the broccoli, and he immediately took it away and said he’d bring me another! The second serving of broccoli was much better. That’s what I like about Ruth’s Chris - the whole staff is committed to making sure you enjoy your meal and experience there! We had a lovely meal, and I’m grateful for our relaxing and delicious dining experience.

    Usually, when a member of staff spills a cocktail on a guest they replace the cocktail. Or, if not replaced, it should at least be removed from the bill. But not at this location! Ruined an otherwise adequate meal.

    The food was not good at all for the price. Went there for my birthday dinner and was highly upset. Out of the 10 people in my party, only two of them liked their food. Desert was decent but I won’t be back.
