Exceptional as always, enjoyed it as much as expected. thanks.
Amazing! Meal was perfect and the service outstanding!
Ruth Chris"s Steakhouse is somewhat pricey, but the food is very good. We were celebrating our 27th anniversary dinner and they made it very enjoyable.
Our server James was outstanding as well as the hostess when we arrived. Great people and superbe food
I ordered the chef's special which was a cognac fillet mignon which was done to perfection and melted in your mouth. Sat in the lounge and the bartender offered several suggestion for acc wine pairing and settled on a pinot noirs from Oregeon which was heavenly.
Excellent experience, from beginning to end. We celebrated our son's 26th birthday the other day. Staff were exceptional and the food was even better! Great atmosphere, does not feeling stuffy at all. Highly recommend!
Wonderful as usual, although I personally am not a meat eater. The king salmon at Ruth’s Chris is excellent, we have the best of both worlds , my husband gets his favourite steak and I get the salmon that I love so much .
The server and staff were great, our meal was good. I don’t know what I was expecting but I thought there would be more to this meal. The food was prepared well, quality was high but still left me desiring something.
it was very nice dinner. We had been awarded a gift card which apparently there was a problem with. Rather than just giving us the $20 difference they insisted that we pay it.
There was not offer special dessert for a birthday person and we were waiting for our dessert for long time and not offered any coffee after dinner
Perfect for a romantic evening or to celebrate a special event
Great service, waitress (Aggie) was very knowledgeable and helped us decide on our meal. Overall great experience and would definitely come again
Food was excellent
Service was not
Everything from the staff, service, food and ambiance was excellent! Would definitely recommend!
Fantastic evening! I am on their email list and decided to book when I saw the 3 course special this week. 3 courses for $45 is an amazing deal. In reality, the email, the restaurant menu and the server were all different and not consistent on the offer. Still a wonderful night, but I felt silly having to point it out in front of my hot date...
Food was great and our server Darren was fantastic.
Food was very good. The steak was cooked perfectly. The only thing that I would improve upon was the attitude of the server. When asked how we wanted our water I made a joke about drinking 'Edmonton's Finest' tap water and the waiter said under his breath while leaving the table 'This isn't McDonalds'. Then we got the wrong side (potato wedges instead of Broccoli) but the server never came back to our table after dropping off our food. We were almost done our meal by the time the floor manager came to check on us and promptly went to swap out our side and apologized for the mistake. When we were finishing dessert the waiter was much friendlier and actually smiled for once. Made us think he was just being nice at the end because the bill was coming. I still tipped 15% but had the waiter been a bit nicer maybe he would have received 20%.
This was my first visit to Ruth Chris. Such a beautiful room and atmosphere. The food was delicious, wonderful service. I'd love to return!
Dining at Ruth's Chris is always a pleasant experience. It certainly isn't the cheapest place to go for dinner, but you are always guaranteed to have an exemplary dining experience. It is well worth the investment.
The steak was phenomenal, and the sweet potato casserole is the stuff dreams are made of. We had the bread pudding which was delicious, but my favorite dessert is definitely the creme brulee.
I have never had anything but a wonderful experience at Ruth's Chris - we will definitely be back.
The beginning of our evening was fantastic, right from the time we walked in. I was feeling like it was going to be a great evening, and excited to share this place with our out of town guests. Our first server was Jody she was amazing, however she got called away to work a private function for the Maple Leafs hockey team. She introduced us to our new server who was no where as good as Jody. You could tell she wanted to work the other function. We ordered a great bottle of red wine and surprisingly she did not decant it, when we asked her why the other tables had their wine decanted she claim that they do not have enough decanters to go around and you must ask for it. ( that is the first time I have heard of that). We were left to our own devices, my guest got up to get us coffee and water, just not the type of service this place is known for. Our guest ended the night stating great food and great atmosphere, too bad for the poor service.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food tastes amazing and the portions you get for the price is awesome.
James was our waiter and he is a wonderful waiter and a very humble human being. He is what waiters were like in the past - polite and all about service!
Very disappointed with our service. Our server was very arrogant, as he had a response to everything we said in a very negative undertone. Waited a very long time for drinks (over 25 mins). Forgot to bring out orders, just sloppy. For what we paid we truly expected the service level to be top notch. Very disappointing, won’t be returning.
A wonderful dining experience. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. I was glad we came before 6:30 to take advantage to the "Prime Menu". I would suggest that this menu be available all evening as your steaks are huge or offer a smaller steak in the regular menu. I love steak but there there is no way I could eat the steaks offered in the regular menu. My only thing that could pick on was both of our steaks were slightly under cooked. I ordered a med-rare and it was pretty rare and my wife order a blue-rare and it was really blue. They were beautifully cooked and tasty but next time I will order a medium. I was my wife's birthday weekend and the staff went out of their way to make it special. Thank you.
First time in Edmonton location. What a delightful evening we had
The food was amazing. Very pricey but for a one time for sure one must try. The ambience of the place is really nice. Great place for adults, but not children.
Remarkable service to create a complete dining experience
It was my wife’s 40th Birthday and first time to Ruth Chris. She loved it and couldn’t believe how awesome the banana cream pie was!
Bday for wife
Amazing! Always the place to go to. The food and service are amazing as is the great wine selection.
Amazing service, beautiful atmosphere and fantastic food. We will be most definitely revisiting the experience in the future!
I am very sure that the $69 Ribeye I received was clearly not USDA prime and it's highly likely it was AA. It was cooked perfectly but tough, and the grain of the meat was running in multiple directions so it was quite tough.
It was our first time at ruths chris and although the price point is much higher than we normally spend it was worth every dollar. Exceptional food and ambience and our server tamara was extremely knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome. We would recommend ruths chris for any special occasion.
Service you won’t find anywhere else. They’re attentive, polite and conversational without being overbearing. Five-star service to accompany five-star food.
Went for our 6 year anniversary and were surprised with anniversary confetti and a free dessert. Meal was amazing and our server Kevin was a joy to have. Would highly recommend even with how expensive it was. Was totally worth it
The service was phenomenal but honestly the food was no better than the Keg ( the appetizers were actually not as good as the keg) and it was significantly more expensive. Oh well - we can say we’ve been there .
The food was great but one of the waiters spilled an entire glass of water on me and didn’t even say sorry. Then when we went to pay the waiter didn’t even thank us for the gracious tip we gave him. Like overall the food was worth the crappy service but I was just a little unimpressed for how much money I spent.
The waiter was very friendly and chatted with us a few times. Didn't feel like a rushed restaurant which is how other places feel. The food was to die for (except the sweet potato fritters - I would avoid those). We each had steaks with lobster tails and shrimps. Everything was the best I had ever eaten! I will treat myself and go back sometime soon. It really is worth the splurge for a special occasion:)
Somewhat Frustrated with my Ruth’s Chris experience. When I’m paying at least $60 per plate and el la carte sides and a minimum of $60 for a bottle of wine, I like to be well taken care of. Being Valentines, they were busy and I understand that every effort was being made to keep our water glasses full and our wine topped up. However, not once was my wine topped up and my water glass sat empty for several minutes.
I also tried to use my open table dining cheque for $26 but they declined to accept it as they thought the cheque was expired. The date on the cheque is December 18, 2018. This is the date the cheque was issued. Not the expiry date.
Everything else s top notch; great attention to
Detail as well.
