Best steak I’ve ever tasted! Everything was delicious. Wait staff was courteous and had the perfect amount of interaction...not too much conversation, but attentive enough to remove plates, refill wine, etc. We loved it!
Great food and service. Our waiter Chris was excellent. Steaks superior.
The food had good flavor, but it was not prepared as well or as creatively as I would have expected for a meal at this price point. My salmon was slightly overdone and my partner's stuffed chicken was a little dry and was cumbersome to eat. The bread and salad were just okay. Positives were our server and the chocolate sin cake which was rich in chocolate flavor and had a good texture. We went during Triangle Restaurant Week and won't return at the full or promotional price.
I’ve dined here before. Sometimes a little loud, but this is a favorite for my hubs and I. Steak is always delicious
Our waiter John D was absolutely amazing! He was very informative of the menu and suggested a great wine to pair with my steak.
We went to Ruth's Chris on a gift card, so we weren't as concerned about the bill as we might usually be. We had a lovely experience, treated like royalty by all the staff members, including the General Manager. We were there to celebrate our 60th birthdays, and everyone wished us happy birthday, and tended to us very warmly. The wine we selected was delicious, and although my caesar salad was delicious, my husband liked the seafood gumbo "ok." Our filets were cooked perfectly to end up being served on the 500 degree plate. The lobster mac-and-cheese that we shared was amazing, and our desserts delectable! We were seated early against the wall, which was quiet and seemed private. Two families were seated later, and the music was loud enough that all was stil well. Our excellent waiter, John, was personable and knowledgable, and helped us to have a very nice evening at Ruth's Chris at Southpoint.
I frequent Ruth Chris often and love the atmosphere and attention that I'm shown.
Excellent Restaurant Week Meal. Lovely waitress (Chelsea)
Had a great experience at Ruth's Chris for restaurant week. Thomas was an excellent server and the food was delicious.
Always great service and food!
Great! Ambiance was quite nice and meal was at a relaxed pace.
Very nice place relaxing atmosphere , waiter was very attentive and helpful. Food was wonderful a little pricey with everything being a` la carte. Everyone makes you feel welcome.
This would be a great place for a special evening out with family or friends.
I have never been disappointed with Ruth's Chris. The steaks are the best of any I've ever had. Ruth's Chris is pricey, so I pretty much only go during Restaurant Week. Our dining partner brings his own fine wine to share; I think that the corkage fee of $50 for two bottles is too high. Our server was particularly good on this recent visit.
Fantastic meal and value with the Classics Menu. Lauren was very courteous and professional
Overpriced as usual but one of few places serving Prime cuts. Ambiance and wine choices give them a slight edge over other sparse steak choices but otherwise, meh.
We dined here for my daughters boyfriends birthday and to celebrate her getting a new job. It is one of our favorite places. The steaks, sides, deserts and the service are alway excellent. My wife and I alway get the Porterhouse for Two and it NEVER disappoints. A bit pricey but you know you are going to come away with a great meal and some good memories.
Love this Ruth Chris!!!
Excessive wait time for food which was undercooked (chicken). Meal was reheated, rather than replaced... rather unsanitary to take partially eaten food into the kitchen.
I mentioned that despite our 5pm reservation, we were running late for a 7pm show. I asked for and did not receive replacement silverware. I had to waste the entree and was not even offered a discount. No mention of the fact that we missed getting the dessert included with the meal. Nearly forgot, that our original Bill's were wrong adding further delay. Needless to say, we were late for the show.
Great service and food.
everything was great on mothers day and i understand its very busy but we had to ask for bread and more water and we werent checked on for a long time after meal came.ive been to ruth chris 30-40 times in my life and the service is usually impeccable.meal was great as always.
Took entirely to long for food to be served. Servers not really utilizing team work. Our waiter was good but just not the caliber for a fine dining experience at the cost.
We were seated promptly at 1:00. Our entrees arrived at 3:00. The restaurant took conference rooms at the adjoining Holiday inn to seat more people than can fit in the restaurant. But they couldn’t handle that many people. Greed for more heads resulted in a poor experience. Food was good, but not special. Ordered their version of filet Oscar. RC is proud of their 500 degree plates. But serving lump crab directly on that plate (instead of on the steak) ruined the crab and asparagus.
Didn’t know about the room with windows, we sat in the dark, dank part of the restaurant with no ambiance. The place needs an overhaul to reach RC standards.
Absolutely terrible service. Our reservation was on Mother’s Day for 12:30 and we were not seated until almost 1. It took another hour for us to get our food after placing the order. Half of our party had to leave early and they bagged the wrong food in the to-go order. Instead of remaking the order so that those of us who stayed would have our correct order, they brought out the food that they forgot to bag and said they made a mistake but made no attempt to correct it. The manager was nice enough and came by and ended up taking the order they screwed up off the bill. I left hungry after paying over $400 for the meal. Absolutely not worth it.
A little pricy but great food and service for a special graduation dinner
I have never been to a Ruth Chris. It was my first and last time there. Everything was nice but there was a table across from us and the woman literally YELLED our entire dinner. We couldn't even hear each other speak. My boyfriend had a Rib-eye and it was good. Great cut and flavor, very tender but for $60, I have had better on a grill at home. My 10 year old had the lamb chops. Those were really good but a little tough. Great flavor though. My other son and I had crab cakes. Definitely NOT worth the $21 or $36 we spent on one and two of them. I can get jumbo lump for $35 and make six crab cakes with more crab than these had. I know because I did it not too long ago. We shared creamed spinach and Au gratin potatoes. The potatoes were too hard and too thick. Neither dish had much flavor. Overall, while the food was decent, it definitely was not worth the price spent for dishes with no sides. I've had much better for much less and I travel and eat out A LOT. Try the Capital City Chop House at the airport, Second Empire in Raleigh or Littler in downtown Durham before you spend money going here. $250 dollars for four people with four entrees and two sides to share. NO one had BEVERAGES! It was WAY too much to pay for the meal we had. It was a huge disappointment. I've worked and eaten in a countless number of fine dining establishments. This one did not live up to the hype. I think at this point, Ruth Chris and Angus Barn are just phoning it in on name alone.
I have been to Ruth’s before. The level of attention and quality of service at this location was not the same that I am used to. They also overcooked my meat selection which I decided to just accept as served. Overall it is still a nice restaurant to visit. I think they just had a bad day.
Wonderful service, and I was happy to have a selection of vegetarian options.
Dining at Ruth Chris Steakhouse was a pleasure. The service was very pleasant and efficient. We both really enjoyed the food. It was flavorful and delicious. We definitely will dine here again. It is at the top of my partner’s list for enjoyable fine dining.
11 oz filet drastically undercooked. Sweet potato casserole overdone with sugar and cream Spinach served cold.
Our waiter AJ was awesome for the second time. We had the pleasure of being served by him in February (Valentine's Day) and in April (Earth Week). Everything was perfect on both occasions!
Had a new waitress (1st night at Ruth’s Chris) but she was great and very friendly. Manager checked several times to ensure all was going well. Another fantastic meal at this location. Always feel at home here
Wonderful service by Andrea. Staff made grandson feel special on his 15th birthday celebration.
Husbands birthday... great meal and service!
The Waiter (AJ) was very personable, knowledgeable of the Menu and attentive to my guests specific questions and requests. The Food was prepared to everyone's satisfaction and beef cooked exactly as requested by each person in the party.
Service was great at the bar. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
Everything was done with excellence! The food, the ambience and the service. Our waitress was the best. She was very accommodating and did everything to ensure we had a positive experience.
I had the small filet, and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life. Cooked a perfect medium-rare, melt in your mouth, perfectly seasoned. Amazing dinner.
