We had an amazing meal! I Definitely recommend the truffle butter topping to the steak!! Lyonnaise potatoes were fantastic!
Very pleasant experience, waiter and trainee were very attentive, informative and added to the experience. Need to state on menu which items are cooked in bacon grease or pork products!!!
As always it was a pleasure dining At Ruth’s Chris. We had friends from out of town and it was their first time eating there and they loved it.
I have been to Ruths Chris before , they fell down on there job. My wifes steak was so tuugh she would not eat eat it .They did credit back the cost , but that is not what should happen at a restaurant like Ruths Chris
been to ruth chris's on more than a few occasions and it is always a great experience ! we go maybe once a month , and will continue to I'm sure .

A group of 4 of us dined here for Valentines Dinner, including myself, my adult son, my sister and her husband. When we arrived and tried to get Valet parking we were told it was full (at 7:15), and had to park a block away in a parking garage. Upon arrival at the restaurant at our reserved time, we had to wait for about 15-20 minutes for our table. Once seated, we again waited about 15 minutes before getting our water and drinks and bread, then another 20-25 minutes before the appetizers arrived. Followed by another several minutes wait for our dinner to be served.
The food itself was outstanding and perfectly prepared, cooked and presented. We only had dinner, no desserts. The server was very attentive and kind, and he did an outstanding job. The noise level was a bit loud as there were several tables of 7-11 people close by. From start to finish we were at the restaurant over 2 hours. All of this waiting is understandable given the holiday. But next time, I think we will come again on a less crowded night to have an overall better experience.
Service was a little slow, but it was valentines, so very understandable, food was amazing, was not loud at all, had a very enjoyable time at Ruth Chris

The food was very expensive, but 100% worth it. They made the perfect Valentine’s Day atmosphere, and the service was incredible. We felt like royalty just for one day.
My Ruth’s Chris experience was not a pleasant one, My wife and I visited the Charleston South Carolina establishment 02/14/2020.
The hostess was not welcoming, she was very short and unaccommodating and it almost seems if she didn’t want to be at work.
Our waiter was nice and friendly, he wasn’t familiar with the menu so questions we asked were met with hang on let me check. But he was very polite and we didn’t mind that about him.
Our appetizer selection was the spicy shrimp and it left a lot to be desired. The shrimp were butterflied to give the appearance of having more than just 5 shrimp on the plat that cost $20.00. Also there wasn’t any spicy sauce on the shrimp they put it on the plate to make the plating look good, but the shrimp were bland, and there wasn’t any sauce for them to rescue them back to flavor town.
My wife ordered the bone in filet, and when it came to the table, we saw that someone had already cut in the steak, probably to check the temperature.
She cut into that filet and it was dark purple on the inside, so the waiter apologized and said they would make a new one. Five minutes later the same filet came back to the table cut up even more just butchered looking and not new as he promised.
We also ordered Lobster Mac, again not good. I have eaten a lot of lobsters in my day and I never knew lobster could have a fishy taste to it, but the lobster in that mac was FISHY.
The loaded baked potato was big but the bacon they used tasted like cheap bacon bits from the grocery store and just ruined the flavor of the potato.
$330.00 spent on this meal and it’s safe to say I don’t think we would be back. The floor manager came and said hello to us but never apologized for the muffed up $65.00 filet nor did he check on the table and see if it was better the second time it came out. There’re better places to go, I’m going to stick with my favorite on king street and this was clearly my punishment for going astray.

The porterhouse for two was fantastic along with the sides we selected. $105.00 was steep for meat that did have dat on it but what meat was without that was outstanding. We think we would forgo ordering this again and choose separate steaks in the future. Scott, our server, was so attentive and fantastic with wine selection. We loved our dining experience.
It was my first time, but it will not be my last. Excellent experience.

When this reservation was made I requested a seat by the fireplace and a birthday recognition for my son’s 19th birthday both of which were not done. I had to remind the hostess about my son’s birthday when it was obvious that this had been forgotten. The chairs we sat in were in disrepair. The restaurant was obviously short staffed. I have a been a Ruth Chris fan and reliable customer but would not go back to this restaurant.
Absolutely delicious! The sweet potato soufflé was the best I have ever eaten in my life. All the food was quick to come out after ordering and everything was mouth watering.

We went to Ruth Chris for restaurant week. The food was delicious. I had a salad, an amazing chicken dish and the bread pudding. My fellow diners had some sort of fish soup, steak with shrimp and the bread pudding. We were all very happy with I food food. The service was terrible. Our waitress, when she did pay attention to us, seemed to have her mind on something else. After we finished our entrées, she came over and said she would be back to clean up our dishes. She never came back. We waited 35 minutes until we got a busboy to come over. We asked him to find our waitress, but instead the manager came over. We explained what was going on, and she had somebody clean up our table and bring us dessert. When the manager brought our bill, she also gave her business card to us. She said she would like us to come back to the restaurant and we should call her when we do. We did not know what that meant. They did not comp any of our meal, and I am not sure that if we came back again they would comp that meal. While the food was good, the service was not. With so many restaurants in Charleston to pick from, I do not see any reason to go back there.
Great steak. All the food was terrific. Unfortunately the waitress could have been a little better.
Apparently “Restaurant Week” is not a good time to patronize Ruth’s Chris. The quality of the food was far below expected and what we typically receive at the restaurant.
I was a little disappointed in the manager. Waiter was fine but the entire experience was not up to normal Ruth’s Chris standards.

Steak was overcooked and looked as if the filet was cut in half through the middle. Extremely thin to be a filet. Won’t be back.

Big disappointment. The chairs are peeling, service extremely slow even with only a few people in the restaurant. The food was cold, the bread was hard and no way fresh. It was presented very sloppy. We had such a wonderful experience at the one in Atlanta so very shocked at how different this one was. The best part of the experience was the Valet attendant, he was very nice and professional.

a great atmosphere in the market area. relaxed dress code and the seating was really nice..for x2 people.
Had a few overall service issues. Overall experience was not consistent with a high end restaurant and other Ruth Chris I have been to.
Valet parking in the back of the restaurant was very convenient. The staff were polite and courteous, they could’ve been a little more prompt at times but that could be attributed to the rush from restaurant week. The food was delicious as usual and our waiter was kind enough to remove one of the drinks I didn’t care for from the bar to replace it with something else. The atmosphere was well arranged for both more private, intimate dinners or social gatherings. The only thing that could’ve went more smoothly is our check in initially with only one hostess and another party needing more extenuating assistance but other than that, Overall an enjoyable evening for date night.

Food was excellent! Server was ok. She told us no one informed her about my Birthday and only offered to take back my small dish of ice cream to place a candle in it! I declined. My husband thought I should have been offed a Birthday dessert.

We were there on Friday of Restaurant Week. Had a 6 p.m. reservation but were able to be seated by 5:30. Kudos to our server, Kevin, who guided us through our selection and whose service to the table was impeccable. Kudos to the kitchen....the chicken breast for my wife and my salmon were incredible. We SHALL return.

We went there for New Years Eve for a 9:45PM reservation. The restaurant was not at all crowded, but it did appear to be shortstaffed. It took 45 minutes for the waitress to bring us our cocktails. Surprisingly we saw her bussing other tables. So we got her attention and asked where our drinks were. She told us the bartender was backlogged and jokingly my husband offered to help the bartender. In response she told my husband to go right ahead. The cocktails finally came minus the cherries for the manhattans. We asked her to please get the cherries and guess what, she forgot to bring them. We had to ask a second time. While our intent was to enjoy our cocktails before the appitizers, voilà the appitizers showed up. While other tables had bread we had none. So we had to ask for the bread. We ordered a bottle of wine for the table. The waitress did not even let my husband taste the wine before pouring into my glass and then everyone elses. Two of my friends ordered medium steaks but they were delivered well done. When we told her they were not medium she apologized and said "yeah I know". She did offer to have the two meals replaced but we all wanted to eat together. I shared my meal with my friend because his steak was not eatable. We had the manager come over he listened and he told us he would take care of us. He took the two steaks off the bill which was very nice, but did nothing about all the other mishaps. I never expected this type of service from a restaurant like Ruth's Chris. We just expected treatment that was comparable to the price we paid. Shame on you Ruth's Chris!!

1. I put in the occasion of my wife’s Birthday Celebration but no one recognized it of knew of it so why check off this during reservation if it doesn’t mean any thing.
2. Both me and my wife ordered the praline bread pudding to go but wanted to have the ice cream during dining, waitress never brought the ice cream on the side. When we got to our room and opened our boxes the attached picture is what we got in both. Just sad looking crumb in my opinion and not worth biting.
Desserts are special but this crumb ticked me off.
