Ruth's Chris Steak House - Cary Ratings and Reviews
Our waitress, Justine was also bartending but that did not stop her fron giving excellent service. She was very knowledgeable regarding the menu and wine list. Her suggestions for wine were excellent and the food was amazing. I do feel the sides were a little pricey, especially the asparagus for the quantity and texture. The dessert was an apple cheesecake with icecream in the side served with these pie crust type wafers that were fantastic! While we can only dine at RC for special occasions, we hopefully can return for our anniversary dinner.
After a short wait for our table, the Ruth's Chris staff took excellent care of us. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, they scattered rose petals on our tablecloth - a very nice touch and also nice that the staff congratulated us. We thoroughly enjoyed our steaks. I had the ribeye, and my wife had a filet. We shared Lyonnaise potatoes and creamed spinach for sides, and had room for dessert. Nice wine pairing too - Hess Cabernet. An excellent evening!
Service was VERY slow. Communicated food allergy to server, but meal came out incorrect anyway FURTHER delaying eating. Meats were not cooked as requested, but were afraid to have them take it back for fear of further delays. All in all, not a good value for spending $200 on two people!
While the food was excellent, we were surprised at the price increases. and since it was a Sunday night, we were also surprised at the noise level. we expected it to be comparable to our previous visits there - great food, nice quiet ambiance and good service.
since bananas foster is one of their featured desserts, we were surprised at how awkwardly the server handled the event. she had the tray very close to our table, to the extent that my husband could really feel the heat from the fire. shouldn't they move the tables a little farther away from the booth where the preparation was done?
Their steaks are great and basically everything else as far as food. However they are VERY pricy which is why I would only go for special occasions etc. Mine and my wife's food was 135 dollars not including tip. Just two steaks one side and dessert with water and no other drinks.
The steak they serve here is truly extraordinarily good. If any food item is ever worth paying a lot of money for, it's this one. However, they cannot justify the cost of their non-extraordinary sides. At the price of these steaks, a small veggie side should really be included. Also, I was really disappointed with the crumbs of unimpressive bread served complimentarily at the start of the meal. Surely, RC can afford better bread.
As always great service and food. They are consistent so we know what to expect each time we go. Food is always done perfect to order and the service is just right - not overly attentive, but always right on time. The atm is great and always clean and with a classy touch. I feel it is an overall great value, with exception of the bourbon pricing. I could buy a full bottle for the cost of two oz.’s. - reduce the cost by 2/3’s and you just made more money because then I would have ordered up to two drinks instead of opting to not order at all.
Food was its usual delicious. Was my wife's 65th birthday. Both my adult boys enjoyed their steaks, it was the first time at Ruth Chris for one of them. Will come back next year.
On the turkey option, suggest you simply offer a dessert choice instead of the stock cupcake. We upgraded to the crem brule and the $4 up charge seems picky when you are getting a $40 meal for a prestigious place like Ruth Chris.
Ruth's Chris is our favorite celebration and special occasion spot. They always make the evening special with table decorations and a wonderful complementary birthday dessert.
We love the chopped salad. The bone in filet mignon was delicious. The rib-eye was melt in your mouth tender. Who can go wrong with 1/2 lb. of Alaskan king Crab legs to go along with a wonderful steak. A baked potato to share and Cremini Mushrooms on the side made dinner complete.
Of course, a special occasion warrants dessert. The complementary apple tort with cinnamon ice cream was fantastic. The cheese cake is also a decadent treat that everyone should try at least on their birthday.
I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service this RC provided. I requested a private area for our business meeting which was provided. Food was very good and relatively quick. I admit I've become wary of RC's in other markets. I was called twice the following day to make certain I was happy with the experience. I will be going back.
