My wife's Chilean sea bass was a huge disappointment. This is her favorite dish and was not up to other fine restaurants. I had ny strip. Cooked perfect but very little flavor. This was our 55st anniversary and we were disappointed.
OUR WAITER STEVE GAVE GREAT SERVICE! WE WILL RETURN IN ABOUT TWO WEEKS.
We stayed in the Inn at Biltmore for our 35th Anniversary and chose to dine with Ruth's Chris for our special dinner. We were waited on by Elijah and Aya. They were a great team and we lacked for nothing. Our meals were delicious and he even brought us a small dessert for my husband since my meal came with one. He lit the candles and took our picture, then brought us a champagne toast. What a special night, one that we will not forget Thanks to Elijah for making us feel special!!
Great experience. Wonderful service. Perfect steak.
What a fantastic evening. It was the perfect restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Elijah was our server and he was phenomenal!
Food and service were very good. The serving dishes the steaks were too hot. My rare steak was well done on the bottom as it kept cooking as we were eating. The waiter did warn us the plates were very hot. I bumped the side of the plate and have a blister on my finger.
Celebration with friends
Elijah and Erica were a great team who provided the best service to ensure our meal was enjoyable! We love Ruth’s Chris
Awesome as always.
Great food, great service. All of our waiters were attentive and made our 55th wedding anniversary most enjoyable.
Friends came to visit and were just as impressed as we always are. Our waiter, Steve, did his usual outstanding job. The service was impeccable. We enjoyed everything.
Great service, a little overpriced
We come here about 6 times a year for some reason our food was awful that night. We got the porterhouse for 2 the ribeye part was tough and gristly . We barely touch it our dog loved it. The lobster macaroni was dry it was like u put cheese on top of dry noodles with lobster meat. The bread and calamari was great. And our service was excellent
I’m sorry to say our experience was not good. I had flowers sent to the table from Shady Grove Flowers for my wife and they were beautiful. It was our anniversary. We were sat in the back- nice table but the room had an old musty smell which my wife is sensitive to, I’m not but I could smell her point ;) It smells like old furniture to me. Kind of like an old men’s smoking lounge without the smoke. We both had the filet and they were both gamy tasting, didn’t say anything at first because we thought it might just be our palette, but we just couldn’t do it. We told the wait staff and they were surprised and took it away immediately. The cheese potato stack was undercooked and was only warm, I ate it but my wife didn’t like it, it was bland and so I used lots of salt and then it was pretty good. The asparagus was over seasoned and a bit cold. Good taste just too much of it. I had the creme brûlé and it was excellent. My wife had the bread pudding and it just seemed old and burnt on the bottom. Weird because it didn’t look burnt but it sure tasted like it, and not fresh. She couldn’t eat it. Since it was our anniversary and we had good company we only told them about their steaks. We probably should have said more but we felt bad and didn’t want to create a weird environment by complaining about it all. Jonathan was a very attentive waiter and was very warm and engaging. We gave him a nice tip since it wasn’t his fault. Was it just the cook that night or something that is happening all the time? Not sure if they are not doing well so they just use their older stock and hope no one says anything. Is it because the clientele are older and their taste buds are lacking.. lol. Does none else complain either? Again, the wait staff and manager walking around were very nice and gave us plenty of opportunity to complain. Again, our responsibility to say something. BTW, the steaks were not taken off our bill. Anyway, Ruth Chris, please take a good look at the kitchen management
As usual for Ruth’s Chris, the service was excellent and the food was fabulous. Zoe’ was extremely attentive to our party and she knew just when to check on us as well as the rest of the wait staff.
The live music was great and added a nice touch to the evening. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The dining experience was wonderful and I expect it won’t be the last time we dine there.
Our server Elijah was just as amazing as our steaks. Both he and Ashley made our night. We will be back.
Best service, food, wine and drinks, ever! Awesome night!
It’s is very formal. They know how to prepare a good steak. My daughter loves this place, so I took her for “girl’s night”. Very quiet, almost had a geriatric vibe.
Always great service and and my steak was prepared perfect. Can’t wait to go back.
Always enjoy our evening there!
Our waiter was great!
Another delicious meal ! We loved our server Jonathan who Always guides to the best selection of food and cocktails.
Love the entire experience. This is probably our favorite Ruth's Chris location just because of the way the room is laid out. You may be dining in a room with other people, but the tables feel private and intimate!
Delicious food as always. We both had filets- cooked perfectly. Our waiter was friendly and enthusiastic. Lovely evening!
EVERY THING WAS OUTSTANDING. OUR WAITER, STEVE, DID A PHENOMENAL JOB. WE WILL RETURN IN A FEW WEEKS WITH OUT OF STATE VISITORS.
I loved our waiter, he was very knowledgeable about the menu. Everything was served in a timely manner and the staff was excellent.
Love the food and great service. Wish the prices were cheaper.
Great value and delicious choices on the daily specials menu!
As always, Ruth's Chris is a great dining experience. Knowledgeable wait staff, great food. Thanks, we'll be back.
We always visit Ruth’s Chris on our vacations and this one was okay. The staff were great.
My wife and I came to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary. We were expecting a perfect and over the top experience. What we got was far from it.
The staff were amazing. The ambience was very nice but not as intimate as we were hoping.
Food: Our steaks were not "sizzling" as we were told. My wife ordered a Filet and Lobster tail. Steak tasted like beef liver and wasn't sizzling. (VERY DISAPPOINTED) Lobster tail was great. I had filet and shrimp. My steak was not sizzling and the garlic mash potatoes were warm at best. No HOT as promised.
We were treated very well and our anniversary was celebrated with our wait staff. Which was nice. Steve was definitely an outstanding server.
Sadly, we were very disappointed in a meal that cost $220. The cost isn't an issue if the quality is worth it.
Very disappointed with our visit to Asheville Ruth Chris
Our server Rachel was phenomenal!! She went over and beyond our expectations. Our dinner was the most enjoyable my daughter and I have experienced together. Thank you so much for a wonderful dining experience.
Excellent food, excellent atmosphere and excellent service. Ruth Chris Steakhouse specializes in providing an one of a kind experience, every time you visit.
My wife and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary, Our waiter, Steve, and the rest of your staff made sure that our evening was special. The food selection provided us many choices and the attention to detail was wonderful.
My wife commented on the way home to Lake Lure that she enjoyed this special evening and I want your staff to know how much I appreciate their efforts in making this a memory for both of us.
Thank all of you.
This was our first time and it was to celebrate two birthdays. You made them feel special with the birthday card an cake. The food and service was excellent! Thank you!
Had a great meal and great waiter!
Steak ordered was delivered to table almost raw when it was ordered medium rare. Salmon ordered delivered to table raw inside when it was ordered well done. Dinner, as result of above was not enjoyable. In summary, entire dinner was overpriced.
Would not recommend this restaurant.
Once again, the restaurant lived up to its outstanding reputation. From delicious craft cocktails to signature Ruth’s steaks and shareable sides, this restaurant never disappoints. We have visited several cities and the Asheville Ruth’s Chris is the best of them all!
My strip steak was so tough there were areas I could barely cut through. The small bits that were edible were quite nice though. My baked potato was undercooked and more 'steamed' than baked. They comped the steak and my dog got a nice treat out of it. I told them I had a dairy allergy and they handled it alright but brought us a free side of creamed spinach which I obviously was allergic to.
We have enjoyed previous dining experiences but were disappointed in the food this time. Lobster Mac’n Cheese lacked sauce, crab stuffed mushrooms were soggy, lamb chops lacked flavor, steak had to be re-fired. Tomatoes/mozzarella salad and sweet potato casserole very good.
However, our waiter was very accommodating and attentive.p
I know you shouldn't go to a steak place for fish but we did. The Chilean sea bass and the salmon were both cooked perfectly. The whole meal was delicious, start to finish. The service was very good and the chef went to great lengths to address my wife's food allergy.
