Family restaurant; the mother actually cooks in their kitchen. The place was packed (Sat night) with an enthusiastic crowd. I have been going there for years, and it is better than ever.

Rustica is one of our favorite restaurants. You are treated like family. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. The food is lovingly prepared from scratch and beyond delicious! Rustica has a nice variety of foods for every palette from the heartiest meat eater to the vegetarian and everything in between. We have been many times and suggested Rustica to many friends and family. We love this place!

We both tried a pasta dish, since our server informed us that all of the pasta is fresh and made by the husband/wife team in the kitchen. My fettuccini di mare was notable in that the various seafood items—large shrimp down to tiny bits of squid—in the sauce were all cooked properly, nothing tough or undercooked (the very thin fettuccini was slightly overcooked, however). A small restaurant but very quiet even with every table in use. The desserts are made on premise, the bread (not great) is not. We’ll definitely return to try other entrees, this is a serious little restaurant with high standards. Service was very good, helpful and not overbearing. Everything came out on time and hot.

Enjoyed our friends dinner with our attentive servers. Good variety of wine by the glass and bottle.
Salads and starters were enjoyed although the Caesar was too light on the dressing. The homemade pasta was delightfully light but overcooked for one of us. They have a full complement of specialty coffee to sip after the meal. A nice option is homemade biscotti yet it was a recipe that didn’t feature a crisp dense cookie that we were hoping for. They have made good accommodations for dining indoors with ongoing Covid concerns. The lighting is just right and the noise level allowed us to converse well.

Despite the somewhat uninspiring location, this husband & wife-owned restaurant should not be missed. All handmade (except the bread), the starters, pastas, salads, and entrees are delicious. My husband and I somehow found room for dessert, also made in-house, and we were glad we did!
The service and decor are just right for a not too upscale Italian dining experience as well.

This restaurant is a treasure and a real favorite of mine. The setting is lovely and relaxing, with attention to Covid spacing, and the food, the food! Last night I ordered the Linguine di Mare, which featured a variety of shellfish (shrimp, scallops, etc.) over the lightest, most delectable home-made pasta I've ever eaten, finished with a home-made red sauce. The husband and wife owner-chefs really know what they're doing in the kitchen, and I highly recommend this restaurant if you love good food.

2 couples out for a nice dinner. Restaurant was full so we Had to sit in bar area at high top table which was more comfortable than expected due to nice bench seating on one side. Chairs also reported comfortable. We had a variety of apps, salads, entrees and desserts which all of us enjoyed. The veal chop was outstanding. Despite the full restaurant we had a relaxed delicious dinner with very attentive service. It’s a bit noisy in the bar section but not unpleasant. Will definitely return.
We had not visited this restaurant since the Covid shutdown and we’re very happy they have survived and thrived!

Service was exceptional. The server, Mat, was there for any wishes we may have had before and after dinner. He was never intrusive, and we were never forgotten about. Our meal was prepared to our requests. We both had Veal Chops, that were very, very good. There was ample garnish with the meal, but not overpowering. We can not adequately describe how pleased we were with Rustica Ristorante, Chester. We will be back and with friends.

Excellent value. The food is fresh, cooked to perfection and the staff could have been nicer. They offer a proper selection. My wife and I frequent the areas best restaurants and found this experience a pleasant surprise. Well done.

We have gone to this restaurant twice in the last few weeks. The first time we thought the food was good although our waitress was rude to us. We tried to order an app with our drink while we decided what to order for dinner and she immediately told us we had to order all at once or not at all and walked away. Other tables were able to order in steps but not us. Then last night we waited 45 minutes and never received our first drink but the waiter came over and wanted us to order food and said our drinks should be ready soon. Then told us we needed to be patient! The service you receive in a restaurant makes or breaks a meal and this one was awful! I definitely do NOT recommend going here.

Really nice place with very nice people. The outside is deceiving but the inside is very rewarding. Each interesting dish was prepared perfectly and presently beautifully. The fig appetizer was a surprise and a true delight.
Small, intimate and COVID sensitive dining room provides ambiance and ( imagine this) you can hear yourself think!! Andreas makes delightful cocktails and Matt serves dinner with style. I did not catch the chef’s name ( Andreas’s mother) but I can honestly say I would love to have her be my friend—- such a lovely person. And boy, can she cook!
Prices are on par with any good restaurant and every thing made fresh in house. What more could anyone ask for??!

A great experience. This is a nice little restaurant that is a hidden gem. A unique menu, food was nicely presented. Delicious! The staff was very attentive. We will be back.

The bartender is always super friendly and fun to talk to.

The pasta dishes here are terrific. We always feel at home coming to this restaurant – this is a regular favorite for us.
