What Insiders Are Saying
Bill and Giuliana Rancic force us to like them with excellent Italian food in a trendy setting.
Food is tasty, VERY small
Portions although very pricey. Great wine list.
RPM Italian has a very attentive staff that is well educated on all their offerings, food and drink alike. My fiance and I stopped in on a Saturday night for a date night and left very happy. All of their food is excellent and the staff provided recommendations, describing nearly every item on the menu if we wished. The larger than life wine menu was fun to review.
A perfect location for a girls weekend dinner. Amazing food and wine. Had the best time. Highly recommend!
They kept us waiting over 30 mins past our reservation time. We had to stand in a packed room. Very rude customer service. Extremely disappointed.
Wonderful dinner at RPM! Amazing food! Loved the carbonara and pistachio gelato!
The garlic bread and the bucatini were incredible.
Nice Italian restaurant. Started with a hand crafted spritz and tasty antipasti at the bar. Dinner and wine were amazing. We had a great time!
The ambience is electric. The food is very good. The service is outstanding. I would highly recommend enjoying a meal here
Despite having made a reservation had to wait over 20 minutes to get our table. Food was very good but the portions were extremely small especially given the price. When spending that much on dinner one would not expect to still be hungry after appy, main +side, and dessert....
Great venue for our anniversary dinner! We had a sommelier give us an amazing wine recommendation and our waiter gave us great appetizer and dinner recommendations. We also loved the dessert - Bamboloni - absolutely delicious! Warning - make sure you eat a light lunch because you are going to want to finish every plate!!!
Great waiter. Excellent food. Interesting combinations such as Swiss chard and wild mushrooms. Appetizers are very good. Nice variety. We ate 3 couses and wine. Expensive but worth it. Will be back.
Great food great service great ambience and great people watch
Would highly recommend this restaurant. Had wonderful food, awesome service and an overall great experience. Fried olives were amazing!
Our meal was fantastic!! Our waiter, not so much. You could tell he didn’t want to take the time to explain the dishes to us. He acted very impatient with us. He spoke to us as if we were stupid. We ended just placing an order because he was impatient. Luck for us, the quick choice we picked, was delicious.
Delicious food, great variety. Pricey, but worth it for a special night out.
Great waiter and back staff
Our waiter Kevin was great!
He was very knowledgeable about what we could eat with vegan and gluten free options.
We stayed at bar for dinner and was very nice and comfortable to dinner there
The food was excellent!
The attention was perfect!
The food was delicious, the service was exceptional and the ambiance very pleasant. Our server Kristen was very attentive, personable and very knowledgable about the preparation of the food. The meatballs reminded me of the ones my mother used to make, very authentic Italian. We definitely will return in the future!
this place was great! my boyfriend and I are huge RPM steak fans and wanted to give RPM Italian a try, too. Our favorite waiter at RPM Steak, Anthony, was so generous and sent over an app and covered our dessert when we told him we had a reservation at Italian. We are always blown away with the service at RPM and Italian proved to be nothing short of fantastic. We wished the pasta dishes had been a bit bigger as we felt like after three bites each it was gone! But the wine our waitress recommended was great and we enjoyed ourselves. The chocolate budino is reason enough to go back... we DIED over it. So delicious.
Great food! Great service! Our server Kevin was awesome! We love all of the RPM restaurants but, RPM Italian is our fav!
Great food, fantastic ambience and awesome service.
Seafood pasta had too little sauce but tasted great!
After running the 2018 Chicago Marathon, my friends and I headed to RPM for a celebratory dinner. We couldn’t have picked a better place to devour declious food and toast with great wine. Service was superb as was everything we ate ( and we ate a lot). Highly recommend. The deep fried olives....yum.
Excellent dinner- great service, food was outstanding- the Zucchini Fritti was the best ever!!
The food, environment and waitress was amazing! My husband and I will definitely return!
This is my 2nd time here. We were in town for the marathon. Food was fantastic. The service was excellent! A must go for Italian. Make sure you get a reservation! I booked my reservation 5months out due to marathon.
I ordered the Lobster Ravioli and the portion size was pretty small, but it was delicious.
We had a pre marathon diner at RPM. We were all excited to go for a fabulous Italian experience and I must say that we really enjoyed it. We were in the front/side room where the noise level is not that high so great setting to talk to friends over a good meal.
The black pasta with lobster was outstanding. I didn't really care for the salads to much I must say but they were OK.
As desert we had Canoli, again it was nice but nothing really special.
So for pasta's an excellent option in Chicago.
I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this dining experience- we were here for the Chicago Marathon from Sydney Australia- the atmosphere, service and food were all exceptional.
I love this restaurant! Every time I am in Chicago I come here! Mama Depandi’s Bucatini with a meatball is delicious. The stuffed peppers are a great appetizer! The eggplant Parmesan with a side of brussel sprouts was amazing. Bill’s chocolate budino is an amazing dessert. If you are in the Chicago area, this is a must place to go eat!
We went to RPM for our 34th wedding anniversary and were treated beautifully. The wait staff are lovely, respectful, not the least bit condescending and very eager to please. The setting is also extraordinary. Blacks and greys and soft silvery lights throughout. Elegant and high-end with many happy people milling around. Unfortunately the food was not quite what
one would expect for such an environment and cost for the various items available. We did truly enjoy the lobster caprese and the ravioli with the running egg inside. The lobster caprese was cool crisp exciting and flavorful. The ravioli was soothing creamy and lovely. The crisp roasted chicken was unpleasantly over-seasoned and unfortunately overcooked. Very very little juice. The hanger steak tender and succulent but oddly flavorless. Spaghetti al pomodoro a diavolo also was overseasoned. We love spicy and understand what diavolo is but the heat of that dish was carelessly and insensitively overdone and detracted from what should have been a lovely dish. With tip we spent over $200 and we were glad to see the wait staff get all they deserved with tip but the food didn't warrant the other $160.
The octopus was amazing!!! It’s an appetizer and a great way to start your meal.
Wonderful experience at RPM tonight. Service was spot on and food good was excellent- especially for the price points. Great place for a special occasion.
This restaurant was high on our list during our weekend in Chicago. The food was absolutely wonderful. Fabulous wine list and very attentive professional service
We had the best time! Sat at the bar for pre-dinner drinks and then had dinner. Our waiter was absolutely amazing and so was the food! This was our 5th visit to your restaurant and try to book every time we’re in town!
Had a great time, food & beverages were great.
Would recommend to anyone visiting Chicago
Over cooked vegetables. Fish a little oily.
Dinner was good, but nothing overwhelmingly great. Prosciutto & foccocia was a good appetizer, gnocchi was disappointing.
Absolutely loved the food. Homemade bread, fried olives, great pasta. What’s not to love? Can’t wait to come back again.
Took my daughter to celebrate her birthday.Amazing food, wonderful cocktails and even a free dessert to celebrate....The staff were very polite and attentive.
