We usually visit Roy’s every Anniversary. We noticed that the menu change and the prices went up. We don’t think Roy’s will be our choice in the future.

We had the spicy ribs, lump crab fried rice, bacon-wrapped pork chop, and macadamia nut bread pudding. All were good and nicely presented. Especially good was the fried rice. Friendly and attentive service. Server asked if we would like to split the green salad ordered by one of us. We appreciated that and it was perfect portion to get started. We would go back.

Wonderful experience. They greeted us with a Happy Anniversary and then seated us at our table where we found a sign with 2 flowers acknowledging our anniversary. The server was great and attentive. Maui wowee salad is best. Drinks and entrees and dessert was great. Love their chocolate souffle.

I booked Roy’s for a birthday dinner. Roy’s was my first choice because of what an amazing birthday they do with the birthday picture, the personalized menu and the dessert. I was very disappointed to find out that they no longer offer the birthday picture or the personalized menu. I highly recommend they bring this feature back. There’s nothing like feeling special on a birthday or anniversary and having The memorabilia to take home. I hope the owners read this review and seriously consider bringing back such a special Touch that Roy’s presented in the past. The food was amazing as always and service was outstanding.

Simply scrumptious! Everything we tried from calamari to himachi was attractively served and delicious. Our waiter was particularly attentive and entertaining, to boot. Just the right noise level; great for conversation and, though considered to be one of the pricier restaurants, excellent value for the money, in my view.

Tried the Korean inspired menu. The appetizers were terrible.
The main course was not bad, but I expect more "Korean" touch.
I've much better chocolate souffles.

Butterfish had a fishy flavor like catfish/salmon, $41 I thought it would be better.
I recently had the same fish in a sushi restaurant in TEMECULA that was fresh & it was amazing for $21.

We usual get the same items when we eat at Roys. This time the ribs were more fatty, the shrimp salad was not good - sent back because lettuce was wilted and brown. I usually rate excellent but this time I rated fair.

The manager never greeted us when we walked in. Didn’t even look up from what he was doing! Pretty sad for a birthday dinner. Server forgot about us. Very nice lady who was helping her out did a much better job and made up for it by comping our drink after my husband had to get up and go over to the bar to try and get me another drink after our waitress disappeared. I guess they also stopped doing the photo thing which was kind of disappointing. Or perhaps no one felt like doing that either? I’ve always had a great experience at Roy’s but not this time.

Great experience from top to bottom. Two of us ordered butterfish and two, the scallops. Everyone was very pleased. The portions were perfectly sized and beautifully presented. Waitstaff (Stephanie) was excellent - warm, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Drinks were well done. Loved Rye Me a River !

This is one of our favorite restaurants so we go frequently throughout the year. The only noisy location is the center of the main dining room. Sitting in the back section or the wine cellar room (when open) are the best spots. The service is always good and we have gotten to know the managers although there have been changes in the last two years. All the food is wonderful, but the butterfish AND the short ribs are the best choices for us. Good wine list and wines by the glass.

We used a $40 off $100 coupon from Roy's to make this dinner a reasonably good value. I had the very large bacon wrapped bone-in pork chop, which was excellent, and my wife had the excellent opah. The desserts, pineapple upside-down cake and macadamia nut bread pudding were also excellent. We've never been disappointed with the food at Roy's.

Roy's is always a go to for a great meal, great service and the most amazing desert ever!
We celebrated my husband's 50th and my son's 9th there with a group of friends. I had the Private Dining Manager arrange for a large table, prefixed menus and a special touch that Roy's is known for. They delivered on all expectations. Few hiccups but everyone had a delish meal and my boys were happy and well fed. Great job Roy's!

We had 7 o’clock reservations. The restaurant was crowded and people were waiting. We gave our name and we were seated immediately. Our server was attentive, funny, and handled everything terrifically. The food arrived hot, delicious, and well yummy. Later the manager stopped by to check on us. All we could do was rave about the service food and ambience.

Definitely, a great experience

Asparagus was not trimmed and therefore the woody parts had to be cut off. Never had asparagus that woody at any restaurant. Spoiled the otherwise good food.

Took my husband to Roys for Fathers Day dinner and it was absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect, food was great. Only thing I didn’t like was since it was the holiday they had a select menu and I wanted something specific that wasn’t on the menu that day. So a bit of a bummer but other than that I love this place. Probably my favorite place to eat in the entire desert.

After a delicious appetizer of a variety of sushi, we were enthusiastic about the rest of the meal. Unfortunately, Roy’s did not live up to our expectations. The entrees were satisfactory, but not memorable. We ordered soufflés for dessert, but we had to wait around 45 minutes until the wait staff came out to inform us that they had been dropped on the ground.

Overall, our waiter was nice and we appreciated his diligence. However, he disappeared for an extended time during our meal. The restaurant seemed dirty, dusty, and old.

We had a great time at the restaurant, but we would not go back to Roy’s.
